Eternity

48

The world you know has changed. Science has been replaced by dark, supernatural forces and those that know how have harnessed them to control the world. You no longer have the right to believe what you want. You do not have the right to choose the kind of life you will live. But you have a choice: you can surrender and live in fear, or you can join the resistance. As part of Red Horizon, a quickly-growing resistance movement, Gibson Craig has devoted his life to opposing these dictators. But he is not the only one. There are numerous rebel factions hidden underground, as much at war with each other as they are with the government, but in the struggle for freedom, they must unite or be crushed. As they move closer, events spin into motion the most epic of battles the United States, and the world, has ever seen. “ETERNITY”, by debut author, Casey S Townsend, is a fast-paced thriller filled with action, mystery, and romance and is the first in a four-part series of novels that blows apart the boundaries of belief. Welcome to Eternity.

    The best
I recently discovered this Podiobook. Mr. Townsend did an excellent job in writing the story and also developing the characters. We, my husband and I, searched all over for the rest of the series, but it seems it only goes into book 2, Oblivion, and it’s only available on Amazon in paperback format. Mr. Townsend if you read this review Thank you for writing a wonderful story. I hope some day soon you’ll finish the entire series and put it in Audio format. You are truly gifted.

    Great Story!!!!!
Wow! This is a fantastic premise, the writer moves the story along at a great clip. As a podcast; the narrator does an excellent job in separating the characters through dialects and various narrative nuaces. Really enjoyed this one. Ummm, there are obviously more books in the series (as this one ended rather abruptly). Will the next book be offered as a podcast? When are you coming out with the next installmement?

    Good podcast fiction
I enjoyed this story and the characters quite a bit. I hope to read/listen to more from Casey Townsend. If there's a sequel to this book I will definitely be interested in hearing it. The story is developed in such a way that I was left wanting to hear more.

Great job-Until the last 4 episodes
I was enjoying this one immensely, despite the aforementioned overdoing of the battle scenes. When the last 3-4 episodes were released, I was very disappointed. The ending is the most important and tricky part of any story, and this one dissolved into utter cliche. Casey has talent, and the first three quarters of the book are well done. I thought I was listening to a decent first novel from a new author. As soon as it began to wrap up, it turned into a bad comic book. Sexism and pat conclusions abound, negating all the effort the author put into making his characters distinct and realistic. The ending was a total yawn, and even offensive if one is female. I suggest that the author consider each character and their motivations very carefully when putting together an ending. I would have given this 5 stars with a better considered finish.

    Impressive Job
I've pretty much listened to all 25 episodes of Eternity and I have to say I'm hooked. Casey has done an impressive job on the book, and podcast. I'm now waiting for Casey to release episodes pertaining to the second book in the Enterity series.

    very engaging story!
i've only listened to 6 episodes but I am hooked. Its a great story so far. Well read too. I would agree with listener, sosochop that there is a bit too much detail on the battle scenes. Remember that what makes a great story is characters that we care about and not what so much what somebody was thinking as their brains were spattered on the wall. One question though. Why are the episodes released in backwards order. The latest episode has the first date and the first episode has the latest date. That makes them sort upside down in my iPhone. Instead of just going from 1 to 2 to 3 I have to stop at the end of each one and select the one prior to it in the list. I have noticed this with other podiobooks titles. What's going on?

    Great story and well told
I really enjoyed this tale. Great characters, well developed world (great bad guys!!!) and very suspenseful. Maybe it's a girl thing (not to insult my fellow females if this seems cliche) but I could do w/out the extensive attention to battle scenes, but that's a very minor complaint. I think the author did a wonderful job reading this as well. Not sure I understand why this has so few reviews? Want more from this author!

    Off to a great start
A new author, a new story, and I'm hooked! Has some elements of Sigler that I like but Casey has a style all his own. I really can't wait for the new episodes and it's free so....duh? Give it a try.
