    Great podcast
I’m enjoying the interviews with artists who I’m familiar with and learning about other drummers who are new to me as well as the “business” of drumming. Eye opening.

    Great listen!
I listen daily. I’ll admit I started late but I’m listening backwards. Great stories from some amazing people. The drumming community is really unique in the wealth of knowledge these people are willing to share!! Keep it up!!

    Excellent Podcast
Highly recommend this podcast! Nick Ruffini always interviews with great respect for the artist and asks excellent and relevant questions that pertain to all things music and personal to improving, listening, styles, etc. I’m definitely addicted to listening to these from start to finish!!

Where are the interviews with women drummers?
I couldn’t find one interview with a woman drummer. What’s up with that? Plenty of them. Change it up, dude.

    I’m not a podcast guy
I’m not a podcast guy, but Drummer’s Resource podcast has been such a great listen. I’m only a couple episodes in at this point. Great quality audio and content. Great interviews with the gods.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the podcast in the early episodes. So glad I opted to revisit. Nick has become a great interviewer. Keep it going

    I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There is a lifetime of information, stories and history here. Nick is the best at interviewing and ask all the questions I would want to ask. The caliber drummers he brings is insane. Thank you Nick! Your podcast makes me a better drummer and person. ✌️

    Drummer’s Resource Podcast
I always enjoy the Drummer’s Resource podcast. Nick has great, motivational informative guests and Nick knows how not make it about himself and let the guests be the show.

    Really Good Podcast
I dove in for the list of incredible drummers Nick interviews, and now having listened to many episodes, really like the philosophical approach, the real life and practical thoughts and advice, and the deep and mature vibe of the conversations. Liking it more and more as I listen.
  • Carl_G_95
Phenomenal for musicians & music lovers (not just drummers (
Nick (and Daniel Glass) do an exact job having great conversations with a wide range of individuals (mostly drummers) that provide many nuggets for life & music!

    Getting back into drums
This podcast is great! I listened to the one on motivation and making it a habit. Made a lot of sense to me! Thank you for that and keep up the awesome podcasts!

    Very informative and inspirational
Nick has on some of the best known and unknown (that you should know) drummers and musicians in the industry on his show. I have listened to most of his episodes over the years, and it’s hard to remember a time I didn’t come away from a listen that I didn’t learn something useful. Not just drumming but many other aspects of being a musician. The mental part, the financial, the social marketing... Nick thankfully touches on all of it with great guests and interviews. To make a comparison if you’ve never listened... if Mike and Mike @ the Modern Drummer podcast are the JRE(size) / TFATK(style) podcast of the drum world, Nick’s Drummer’s Resource is comparable to Tim Ferris’s podcast...(interviewing the best at what they do and picking their brain to find out how everyone else can benefit). If you’re serious about improving all parts of your drumming and everything that surrounds a career in music, I’d seriously recommend a listen.

This is the real Drummer’s World
This show is lively, upbeat & informative. It’s really nice to hear the greats talk EVERYTHING drumming. As a physical therapist for drummers, it’s nice to here the “psychology” (motivation, drive, mentors, industry perspective). This is a real nice podcast.

Great podcast with interviews with some great drummers! Definitely recommend for any drummer looking to get insight and advice on what it’s like to be a professional drummer from their own perspective.

Imagine if you had the opportunity to take a lesson with a reknowned drummer. And during that lesson you were handed perfect little gems of wisdom and advice. That's basically what this podcast does. Thanks Nick! You're doing a great service here.

Been listening for years and will listen for many more!!!

I learn a lot from this show...
... I just play drums in my church a couple times a month with a family, daytime job and daydreams of grandeur on the side. If I ever really take the plunge I'm getting a couple lessons per week on what I need to do to make it work from the experts who have been there and are doing that. Thanks, Nick and Drummer's Resource for everything you do. All your work is making a difference for us. Keep up the great work.

    Deitch Beats Don’t Quit
Just started listening. Nick is the well versed in music and especially drumming history. Also, he’s a fan of the funk and jazz which is where I have had home on the musical spectrum for about 5 years. Keep up the good work Nick!

    All
Always a GREAT listen... I've listened to many! Besides leaning more about my favorite drummers, I mainly listen for inspiration... I don't need inspiration to play music, I need inspiration to be more dedicated... as we all know, discipline has it's rewards, and I leave the podcast realizing that hard work pays off (as we all know) and by being inspired from the interviews to work myself harder! Thanks Nick (and Daniel) - keep 'em coming!

    What an incredible resource
This podcast has such an immense amount of knowledge and explores incredibly important subjects. Nick's interviewing style provides incredibly in-depth information of his guests, and to the musician's life in general, while maitaning a truly enjoyable atmosphere. If used correctly, I firmly believe this podcast has the tools to provide more motivation, inspiration, education and insight to trule change a life. I could not recommend it more, especially if you are a drummer or musician.

    I love this podcast!
I listen to the podcast everyday! It’s how I start my mornings! Keep it going man!

    Great topics!
I just discovered this podcast a few weeks ago and was surprised to see so much content. Certain drummers have questions that are very specific to them and Nick does a great job of figuring those questions out. It is really cool to hear the perspective of these musicians and get a feel for their personality, because their approach and style of playing makes much more sense after listening to them speak about music, drums, and life. I think musicians of all levels can benefit from something in this podcast so definitely take a listen. More than likely, you will find a podcast with a drummer that you have been studying recently. AND episode 426 with Daniel Glass is gold! His advice on how to improve fills and transitions is very practical and insightful.

    Daniel Glass
I look forward to hearing the Daniel Glass pod cast. Huge insight not only in drums, but playing music and life’s ride. The grip, drums, drum history and the very funny Spinal Tap shows stand out. But I’ve listened to all of the DG pod casts. Also check out his history of the drums set on his DG/Vic Firth site. All the best, -Dan Buchert-

    Listener and participant!
I had a blast being on this podcast and I love listening to it too. Just listened to my friend Jon Epcar’s episode which was awesome - the episodes with Fishman we’re so great as well and so many more! Check it out if you love drumming 👋🏻🤘🏻

    Drummer’s Resource covers it all!
Nick (and Daniel) deliver provocative interviews and information that inspire! I love the interviews with the best of the best, and the shifting of gears that happens with discussions like managing healthy relationships. I have favorites that I return to, and I look forward expectantly to whatever is next. My next addition to my gear will be Dream Cymbal hi hats, because of the DR recommendation. Thanks, from a relative newbie who started late (but not too late). I LOVE Drummer’s Resource!!

    Great interviews and content
It’s always inspiring to hear professional musicians talk about the things that inspire them. Thanks for the effort you put in to making this a great resource!

    My weekly dose of inspiration
This podcast has a significant effect on the drum community. I chime in to 'get to know' drummers I admire, discover other drummers and listen to Nick's advice on drumming and life. I've borrowed that wisdom -- like how to keep the gig, how to sub like a pro, how to handle criticism and how to be a strong woman in a male-dominated field -- and I apply them not only to my music career, but also my daily life.

    Love the podcast
My favorite drumming podcast! Curse as much as you’d like. I can handle it... I’m an adult lol. I actually enjoy the swearing because it shows that you’re a real person and you’re not hiding who you are on air. Love Daniel Glass too. He’s an amazing educator. Great content all around!

    Wonderful Show
I look forward to each podcast. Sometimes I have no idea who the guest is: with that said, it's always good. I learn something each and every time. I feel that Nick is a terrific host because he listens! He let's the artist speak, and then draws then out with follow up questions. He has fun with the format, and so do I. Please keep up the great work Nick!

    Resource for all musicians
So much to unpack from this show! Nick is a great interviewer and inspiring teacher for drumming, music business and life skills. Daniel Glass brings an impressive deep take in the art and history of drumming. Keep it up guys! You have been a major influence on my own podcast...

    Not For Drummer's Only!
A lot of times we shy away from topics that are not our field and just stick to what we know. If you are trying to find your way in this world through your job, your passion, or just trying to live the best way possible, do yourself a favor and follow Nick Ruffini's Drummer's Resource Podcast. There are great stories about each person's life and the lessons they aquired along the way as well as insights and aspirations that can inspire anyone open to the wisdom and knowledge being presented here. Listen and learn, folks; you will not be disappointed.

Fallin' asleep with the earbuds in...
I hope Nick doesn't have any evil agenda, because I'm always falling asleep with the earbuds in, probably susceptible to creepy subliminal stuff! I'm thinking, though, that Nick is just the positive, kind guy he seems to be and has an amazing podcast I look forward to listening to every night. Nick's a great interviewer in that he lets his guests (so many of the greats!) talk and doesn't get in their way. Glad to have found this, Nick. Thanks for all your hard work and great energy.
  • Music Composer

    Bill Bruford podcast
Nick - First off, this is long overdue...I have been listening for years and I'm just getting around to giving you a 5 star review. Better late than never! Thank you for your podcast and all that is gives back to the drumming and music community. Your interviews are always insightful and entertaining especially the latest one with Bill Bruford. He has always been one of my favorites and an influence especially in my formative years when I was trying to bridge the gap between rock and jazz. His autobiography was fantastic and I will be picking up his latest book soon. GREAT interview! Keep up the good work.

    A great gift.
This is a consistently inspiring podcast. I’ve found great value in this show as an aid in developing a successful approach to establishing and achieving my goals not only in drumming, but also operating my small business, and just improving my attitude and approach to life in general. I appreciate the great positivity and shared insight. It’s amazing to hear from someone who obviously understands the concepts of dedication and focused work, and I deeply appreciate the willingness to share hard won knowledge and techniques to help folks live up to our greatest possible potential. Killer interviews with some of the best drummers in the game, alongside business men and industry insiders, a valuable resource indeed. Please keep up the awesome work Nick, it truly makes a difference.

Fantastic Podcast. Incredibly informative and always a great listen.
Nick does a great job of interviewing his guests with a very honest and humble approach. He asks good questions and gets great guests for the show. The podcasts that Daniel Glass does are also remarkably good. He is very eloquent and has a massive amount of well rounded experience as a drummer, recording artist and clinician.

Best Drumming Podcast of All Time. Period.
I've been a semi-novice player for so long. Occasional gigs and recordings over the years. Day job family guy. This Podcast is so personal. And so real. Has given me insight I never thought possible. All the questions I've EVER had. It's given me so much hope about the ART of rhythm. And what power it holds. Life altering would not be an overstatement. Thank you Nick!
