10 minutes to start the show, content devoid of any intellect
After more ads than the movie theater you’ll be able to enjoy the guests seemingly found outside their studio that day. I tried to learn about the benefits of homeschooling but got completely unqualified people claiming teaching their child that glass is dangerous or reading on a hammock is better for the kid than normal schooling.

    So much great advice!
I’m a first time mom of a now 8-month-old baby boy, who is absolutely the love of my life. I want to be sure I’m the best mommy I can be for him, but having never really been around kids before, it’s all been a learning experience. Listening to Parent Savers has helped me feel confident in handling issues that come up, and to understand that yes, that seemingly strange thing my baby did today is actually totally normal! I’ll be listening to these episodes again and again in preparation for toddlerhood :) Thanks, and keep up the great work!

    Too many ads
Really interesting and helpful content, especially as a new parent. However, there are SO many ads and a lot of the actual content gets buried and missed because of it. I definitely listen to this podcast far less than I would because of the number of ads and how they seem to just get thrown into the podcast randomly.

Takes too long to get to the point
I’m listening to an episode now it it took them 10 minutes to get through all the ads to start talking about the topic. Stop wasting my time

    WAY WAY too many adds
Pretty good show with some interesting information but oh my gosh WAY WAY too many adds. Like 1 or 2 I totally get but there are some episodes where there is like 4 or 5! It has seriously made me not listen. 5-10 minutes of adds for a 30 minute show is just too much. The good does not outweigh the bad.

    Basic training for new dad
Was going good until the basic training for new dads episode and the guy starts talking about being a privileged white male 👎🏾

    NO to the doterra episode
I’ll give 3 stars because I do like listening to the show and I have been doing so for years. But I knocked two stars off for the recent episode on essential oils promoting an MLM company Doterra. There was another essential oils episode a couple of years ago where they mentioned doterra and I wrote an email to the show expressing my concerns. But I guess they don’t care because they decided to do another episode promoting them. MLMs are scams and they prey especially on moms. Are you aware of that Summer? Jonner? MLMs are pyramid schemes. There are great podcasts such as “The Dream” (season 1) and “Sounds like MLM, but Ok” which go into them in depth.

    Judgey
I decided to listen to the episode about feeding your little ones- my first time listening! But within minutes they expressed judgment on a story about a mother taking their children to Sonic. I’m sorry - some times there is no time for organic spinach puréed into tomato sauce. “What are they doing at Sonic with their children in the first place”. You guys must be soo perfect- to find horror in occasional fast food! Adios!

    Good show turned advertisement 🙄
I used to really enjoy listening to this show. There is still good information and episodes, but it seems like every episode ends in a commercial for a product. As in whoever the guest is discussing the topic is actually promoting something instead of just providing information or participating in a discussion. I will be looking for a new parenting podcast!

    Dangerous Advice
I am really disappointed in this show which happened to be the first I listened to for this podcast. A doTerra salesperson was on the show spouting dangerous medical advice which really makes me question the credibilty of this show. First of all, there is easy-to-find evidence that doTerra actually adulurates their oils (third-party testing). Their "Certified Grade Therapeutic Oil" labeling is marketing only--it is not a real regulation or certification and it is trademarked by doTerra themselves which is super sketchy. Also, people sign up for a distributer account to buy oils at a discount and suddenly it is as though they are medical experts going out and dispensing medical advice without the necessary education. Aromatherapists in general do not recommend internal ingestion of oils unless supervised by a VERY highly trained professional as this is pharmaceutical-grade medicine and essential oils are incredibly potent and can do real damage. Since they are so powerful, they are amazing to have in our home pharmacy! But we must respect the plants and understand how to properly use them! OnGuard has components that make it completely unsafe to apply to babies under 2 years old whether diluted or not! Essential oils are powerful and work, but this show was very disappointing as the "expert" was just a sales rep parroting the doTerra pitch without doing her homework regarding safety.

    You won’t regret listening!
I have listened to Newbies and Parent Savers. Started when my daughter was 1 1/2 years old and I wish I would have listened to this before. Very helpful tips, amazing stories and wonderful laughs as I ride the subway to work every morning. The episodes that hit home for me were the ones on depression. THANK YOU! It’s nice to know you are not alone! ❤️

I love that they have expert guests AND real-life parents on at the same time! This way you get advice that is realistic and you can actually implement. Broad range of topics mostly relevant to young kids. Love it!

    Really great info
Just got done listening to "Terrible Twos or Terrific Twos," and wanted to write a review about how helpful I thought it was. However, all of the episodes I've listened to have been helpful in learning how to navigate parenting as a first time parent. The info is relevant and the experts who are featured on the various episodes are always knowledgeable and have advice that is realistic. There is a bit of advertising on the podcast, but they need to be able to keep the podcast going somehow. Definitely listen to this, especially if you ever doubt what you are doing as a parent.

    So much information
This show has such a wealth of knowledge. I love listening to the experiences of all the different parents and it's nice that they also bring experts on the show to talk about the topics in depth. I also appreciate that they have both male and female perspectives on parenting decisions. Keep it up New Mommy Media!
