RdhqwertyConnect the dots of HistoryNot only Church history but ALL history is difficult to understand in both context and chronology. These 5-minutes fill in the blanks with people, their fascinating stories and also connect the dots from IN THE BEGINNING B.C. to this year of our Lord 2023. Stephen Nichol’s 5 Minutes in Church History should be a requirement for every Christian who wants to know the foundation of Christ’s saints of our past, Colossians 1:26 (LSB) that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints

Norms sutton10% fantastic! It’s telling when a podcast that claims to cover Church history spends 90% of its time and efforts focusing on the most recent 500 years of church history, and almost all of that is Protestant. That is to say, 75% of the history of the Christian Church is almost completely ignored, and that which is covered is done pretty myopically. If they only knew what the Cappadocian Fathers or John of Damascus would have thought about Calvinism.
-

Brooke in IndianaBite-sized history lessons through people’s storiesThank you, Dr. Nichols, for creating these bite-sized Church history lessons. Five minutes per week may not seem like a lot of time to learn about church history, but as I listen week after week, the gaps in my knowledge and understanding are being filled in. I especially appreciate your highlighting people who lived through what is history to us now. No better way to learn history than through people’s stories!
-

Darth CoreyBest Podcast I’ve Ever FoundI’m a pastor of a tiny country church who wants to continually renew my mind and learn about the Bible and Church history. This podcast does a great job of teaching, and all in small, listenable segments. Always light and positive, I thoroughly enjoy every one I listen to and have written down many subjects to study further and books to find based on their topics. Keep it coming!
