    Palliative care episode
I love this podcast! I became acquainted with it while facilitating a peer support group at a large urban hospital. I loved Brian’s wit and intelligence. But even more, I loved his compassion. I just finished listening to the episode about palliative care. When my department at the hospital closed, I was offered a social worker position in the Palliative Care department. I was excited to begin something new, but as my time there increased, so did my frustration. It seemed that my role was to help patients identify their advanced power of attorney. Period. I had been a mental health therapist for over 30 years and believed my skills were severely underutilised. Listening to this podcast made me hopeful that there are some programs that discuss end of life issues with both patients and their families! Had I worked at such a program, I’d probably still be there. Instead I felt very fortunate to leave after less than a year. No matter how delicate the focus might be, I typically feel more hopeful after listening to White Coat. Please keep up your amazing work!

Important, Enlightening Podcast - Distracting Music
I love the topics, interviews and perspective and value system of this podcast. Thank you for talking to people in community who get a chance to have their voices and viewpoint heard. One note, after Dawna Dingwall, the producer, recently left, there seems to be a shift to more cheesy music or sound effects that can be a bit distracting

    Great Medical Storytelling
This is a podcast I listen to first as I hear the opinions of people on the front lines of health care on how they cope with hotly debated challenges the system faces. This is a ground level look at the healthcare landscape by a compassionate host who really knows his stuff. It has appeal for anyone has ever wondered about the nuts and bolts of how the medical system is run. It is not just for Canadians as it addresses issues that healthcare systems around the world face.
