    A KO of a Show
As someone who is getting back into boxing in recent months, I find this podcast to be my favorite so far that covers the sweet science. I may not be a Brit, but I love the camaraderie that Steve and his guests and co-hosts have. I think my favorite interview he’s done so far was with Skye Nicolson, easily one of my favorite fighters. Not to mention the outstanding limited series he did with Lennox Lewis about Don King. Highly recommended and a must listen on my podcast rotation each week.

    Boxing legends
Barry Jones and Buncey are true boxing legends. Both men speak their truth, they do not take the knee to anyone. They speak with honesty one minute and can be hilarious the next minute. Keep up the outstanding work boys Mike Hills

    Warren
One of my favorite boxing podcasts but this episode was as bad as the heavyweight division at the minute. I loved it when buncey put it on the wbc president Thsts a good boxing journalist doing his job, I’m amazed you can sit and listen to frank and not once question the ridiculous things coming out his mouth, dubious gave him the best fight🤣🤣 he never one a round, ungano got in the round with fury after his last fight that’s what’s been planned all along all this inbetween we tried to do this we tried to do that, utter rubbish making a mockery of boxing come on buncey your better than that🥊🥊

    British centric boxing podcast
This is an outstanding podcast by two pros who know boxing. It’s a very enjoyable listen. I couldn’t believe they didn’t devote a segment to the March 25 Benavidez - Plant fight. Most of the US boxing fans ARE very casual but there are boxers outside of Britain. I’ve noticed in both boxing and soccer the British media and even public have an over-exaggerated sense of their importance in the sports world. How many times does Camelot have to beat a British boxer in order to get respect over there? Ryder will have a great time with him in May.

    Taylor v Serrano - What a fight
One of the best fights I have ever had the pleasure to watch! Incredible skills and fitness levels! I’m usually a doubter of rematches but I’d watch these two fight again anytime! In fact I’d go to it for sure!!

    The absolute best
I am American (born raised and live in Philadelphia). I listen to several boxing podcast including multiple British and multiple American ones. Steve Bunce is the best of the bunch by a landslide. He is the most inclusive, meaning he covers a good mix of British, American , European South American, doesn’t matter he covers it all even more obscure bouts. And more so then just covering them all, he actually has knowledge of the most obscure boxers and one of the best boxing memory’s, Steve remembers details from fights from decades ago and is information is also spot on. Other podcast really don’t compare, and I’m not being biased. He’s also great to listen to and far mor entertaining of a speaker then other podcast host. Conclusion: Steve Bunce is one of a kind and so is this podcast. Every episode is 5 stars.

    Best Boxing Podcast Available
Mike and Steve. I’m a Glaswegian now living in Nashville, Tennessee. Been here 16 years now. I enjoy listening to the show and both your knowledgeable unbiased opinions. US boxing fans for the most part are very casual and most wouldn’t know a Froch from a Fury.😝 With regards to last weeks big fight I predicted an 8 round KO for Canelo and was proved right. I’m a BJS fan though and traveled to Canada back in 2016 to see his masterclass versus David Lemieux. There I met Kell Brook and Kid Galahad as well as Sadam Ali. Big Tyson Fury escaped me but I saw him walking about. Tell Buncy to stop bashing Caleb Plant’s fan base. I’m hoping they bring the Canelo fight to Nashville and I know at least 2 fans he has.🤣

Great discussions, interviews, history, and commentary. Appreciate the professionalism. Worth subscribing. 1000x better then the Pug&Copp garbage.

    Through crisis comes innovation...
These two are special together. I used to listen to Steve Bunce years ago with his boxing show with Ron Bodie and guests and I loved it. These two together, however, are even better. Whoever had the idea to go through the greatest fights with an extra guest has given us, the listener, such a gift. I’ve just finished listening to Joe Goosen and as he spoke at the end, I tuned out the rest of the world. It was so moving to hear him and a privilege. Would this show format even have been considered had we not been in lockdown? Who knows but I for one am so grateful that you e made these shows.

Too much wallowing in the past
Too much wallowing in boxing’s past - too much nostalgia and “back in the day” stuff. Also Costello and Bunce can get a bit holier than thou when it comes to criticizing American boxers and the American boxing media, but tippy-toe around really taking on British figures. It was comical how they let Josh Taylor go on and on whining about how some ringside observers had him trailing against Regis Prograis - and then whine that he wouldn’t take lower purses because of the pandemic - without challenging him. Much better boxing podcasts out there.

So many similarities between Wilder and Joshuas first loses
Brilliant podcast. Been living in the US for 9 years and since I’ve been listening to your podcast it makes me feel at home with old British sports journalism at its best by 2 of the best. Congratulations Fury. Living legend! Anyway, having watched the fight twice now, I just think there are so many parallels with what happened to Wilder in this fight and what happened to Joshua in the 1st Ruiz fight. Hurt in the 3rd and never gets his legs back and for the next 3/4 rounds gets hurt with nearly every punch landed on him before the fight is stopped. Big difference of course is Fury was much better than Ruiz and would have won the fight regardless of that big shot landing behind Wilder’s ear, whereas I’m not sure Ruiz would have beaten Joshua if he hadn’t landed that left hook. And I wonder if Wilder will take the same route as Joshua and take the immediate rematch? Thanks for always making boxing exciting, fun and personal. Danny Kerry

Love this coverage from Saudi Arabia
Costello & Bunce are terrific... loved the multiple episodes from Saudi Arabia. I especially enjoyed the travelogue feeling of the coverage. To go that far and not immerse yourself into the culture would have been a shame and C&B made me feel like I was there. Several comments on the event which I streamed in its entirety on DAZN in the US. Horrible undercard with the exception of the decent Povetkin/Hunter fight. Agree completely on Ruiz disrespecting the title with his total lack of preparation. He seems like a likable enough guy but he’s wasted (or eaten) away such a wonderful opportunity. Just curious, Ruiz reported to have made 13-million for rematch. After taxes, trainer, cut man, hangers on, training camp, travel, lodging in Saudi etc... how much do you think he actually gets ? Loved the look back on Ali-Foreman. One final question... i’ve search the internet several times but have never found an undercard for that fight OR for the Ali-Frazier fight of the century. Where these truly stand alone events ??? Seems incredibly risky, especially the Foreman fight which potentially could have ended in under 6 minutes like his bouts with Frazier & Norton.

    Biased to a striking degree
Unbelievably biased at all times. If you love strictly UK boxing and want to feel good about yourself regardless of the truth - enjoy. If your a fan of boxing as a worldwide sport, this podcast is a joke.

Literary Flair Brought to the Microphone
What separates this boxing podcast from the others is that both the hosts were fight game journalists for decades prior to throwing their hats into the digital realm. They can communicate and reference fights from the 70's and 80's and seamlessly show how those bouts compare to today's action. The only downside is that they have to pay lip service to women's boxing which has always been and always will be a watered down, shoddy product. It's embarrassing to hear Buncey exclaim "Claressa Shields!" or "Katie Taylor!" when no one but the fighters' parents and siblings (if that) actually care.

    Brilliant and insightful
Great podcast hosted by two individuals who have many years of boxing knowledge. Must listen for any boxing enthusiast.

    Telling it like it is
I don’t think there’s another sport represented in podland that is served with the same level of wit and insight that Costello and Bunce serve up every week. Their combined experience and anecdotes provide an encyclopedic knowledge of the sport and their live reporting at the fights puts you right there in the chaos, noise and sweat of the ring. Prepare to learn and be entertained.

As ever, the font of knowledge on everything boxing. Even though you love Amir, you still told it how you viewed it. Don’t change those honest assessments.

    Fun British focused boxing podcast
Costello and Bunce are great. I enjoy getting their U.K. perspective though they can focus too much on British, Commonwealth and amateur levels from the U.K. IMHO. Some of the historic content and the old stories particularly from Bunce are often be fascinating.

I love the podcast. Ive listened to alot of boxing podcasts and yours is the best out there (honorable mention to Brian Campbell on CBS). How about extending its length? You guys are so knowledgeable it’s a treat listening to your observations. Rob. Miami.

    I love it
This podcast took me from only watching big name heavyweight fights to watching every fight I could find, all the way down the weight classes. I love this podcast for the insight, history lessons, balance between C&B, and I especially love the extraneous stories. You guys paint pictures of fights and fighters.

The best boxing podcast on the internet
Podcasts do not get any better than this. I’m a Steve Bunce groupie, he knows so much about boxing and is such a positive person. Mike also knows so much about the noble art. I spend my days climbing mountains and this podcast keeps me company. Mike Hills

    Boxing champions
I'd like Steve and Mike to get updates on people such as Nick Blackwell, is Nick doing now? Also what happened to the trainer that punched a boxer in the face. Did Leon Lawson become prosecuted? Cheers Mike Hills, glenwood springs, colorado. My Sundays in Colorado would not be the same without this amazing podcast. I listen to EVERY boxing podcast - good-----bad----ugly---- and I can say this is the premier league of boxing podcasts. Buncey and Mike Costello really know their sport. Mike is the consciousness of boxing and Buncey is the free spirit of the team. I like it when they bring in past boxers to talk about where they are now. In 1997 the Boxing News brought out a supplemental book that told people where retired boxers were now. I often still read this book. I'd like both boys to review boxing books.....maybe this isn't that kind of show? I remember walking around London and Manchester in the 1990s with New York Legend Harold Lederment. He said the British write the best boxing books. Thanks Mike Hills

    Great entertainment and insight
Just finished the Joshua's new opponent" podcast, like all before very insightful, funny and really great entertainment. Live in South Carolina but originally lived on the same street as Richie Woodall and went to Len's gym in Madeley. Would love you to have Richie on the show because that Malinga fight still gives me goosebumps when I remember the fantastic night at Telford ice rink.
