Footy JediToo Much GridironStop talking about the Santa Clara 49ers. Too much chat about a game that takes 5 hours to play 1. Americans love adverts and probs why lots have switched over to PL, Bundesliga, La Liga, etc.
-
lordoftheidiotsi am a football fanhands down the best football show on the air. if you appreciate culture, history, and how it impacts the game then this is for you
-
rasta_jr_manJust another PL podcastIt went from being the WORLD football phone-in to the Premier League football phone-in. They don't even talk about other European leagues anymore or have other pundits to talk about leagues outside of the PL.
-
JJJGGGSSSBest football show anywhereA wonderful weekly football discussion (and often so much more). Been listening for 10 years now from the US.
-

IdahoExplorerAll-Time Best Football PodcastI’ve been listening to the World Football Phone-in since 2000. This is by far the best football podcast out there. Thank you Dotun, Tim and all the others fantastic folks that put this on. You all are legends.

jpalengkibest sports talk show everGrowing up in suburban Philadelphia back in the early 1970's I first heard sports talk radio when I listened to the attenuating signal from WBZ Boston of Eddie Andelman's Sports Huddle which I think is credited as the origin of that particular broadcast milieu. I'd never heard anything like it most of which as I remember was Eddie and his guests taking irreverent shots at Boston's New York rivals. I experienced the same wonderment of discovery when I first downloaded an episode of the World Football phone-in more than ten years ago. Dotun, Tim and the other regional experts along with the callers deliver a show which will not only expand your knowledge of the world's game but provide humor, insight, and a sense of community with our entire planet.

Hey224456GreatGreat, entertaining podcast

SweetLew717Best podcast in this universe. After ten plus years of listening to Dotun, Tim, and many others (Big Wheel, Top Brass, The Colonel, SpringBokaJr., Neighmar!), this group has become like a weekly meetup at the pub with old friends. Thanks to the crew for making soccer that much more meaningful and enjoyable, I am a football fan, I am a soccer fan...
-
Mike7MufcGreat programI have listened for years and really enjoy the program. Tim Vickery knows seemingly everything about every South American soccer player who ever existed. It baffles me when a caller will bring up some seemingly obscure player and Tim knows all about the players upbringing and has several anecdotes that he articulates so well that it provides a depth of knowledge that is so rare from a sports podcast. Great listen!
-
ZwelliYou need not go anywhere else!Explaining this game in such a comprehensive way... I go no where else! Thank you! Please give more exposure to this podcast! Zwelinzima

Frank McLLove it, and ideal for those in the US who are trying to keep upA great philosophical yet witty program. And for US nationals (like me) and others who are followers, but not close followers, of world football, very educational! Dotun Adebayo is the consummate host, a broadcasting pro who keeps things moving (and yes I appreciate his digressions!) Tim Vickery is a suave, super-knowledgable, and thoughtful about life-beyond-football pundit that anchors the program. (And I love his laugh.) The remaining experts lately have been outstanding. As a US national, I really appreciate Jon Arnold's knowledge and style, although for the record I also really liked Sean Wheelock anf the chemistry he had with Dotun and Tim (kind of like two cool older brothers with their enthusiastic likeable slightly loquacious younger bro). Mina Rzouki, Northern Seoul, Paul Sarahs, and the great Mark Gleeson are all exceptional. It's always a high point of the week!

Playa 4 LyfeBest Podcast AvailableInsane how good this program is! Dotun is an amazing presenter. He creates a wonderful atmosphere for the show, keeps the show rolling, and has great knowledge of football himself. Tim Vickery is the best football journalist in the world. He has the highest level of knowledge of the sport and of the South American system. All the other pundits are amazing as well daring all the way back to Brassel and Whelock. Can’t think of enough praise for this show. download!!!!!!!!!

KLB, JR.An educationJust a great show. Always interesting, so much knowledge from the experts.
-
DCI BanksLet’s Not ForgetAlong side Legendinho & Sid Lowe is Mark Gleeson. Guy is extremely knowledgable about African football. He’s up there with Tim Vickery for me. He can trade blows with Tim in his biting wit. Check out the episode where they make their continental teams. He’s ruthless.
-
Jon SandOne of the bestAlongside Sid Lowe, Tim Vickery represents the best of football analysis and punditry. Those who really deserve their bacon talking football. The others on the show are good but the Legendinho is a level above. Sid Lowe is his only rival.
-
danmufc93World ClassThe Legendinho makes this the best word football podcast out there but the guests and Dotun are quality too!
-
Martin MulcaheyBest footy podcast period. Not simply a football (soccer) podcast but the host and rotating guests (besides regular Tim Vickery) talk culture and impact of football on people, its social import, and how it even shapes countries. At least one laugh out loud comment a episode, with sidebars on music and plenty of soccer history as well. Every region is covered, Asia and Africa included so this is truly an all inclusive show.

GygdhbugegbdtThe Best Part of My Saturday MorningI first started listening to WFPI in 2013 and I have not missed an episode yet. It is my favorite football/soccer podcast. I listen to this show every Saturday morning walking my dog. I have learned so much about football around the world listening to Tim Vickery and the rotating panel of pundits from around the globe.
-
Sportsis guy hereSix year listener. You will wait for the upload on SaturdaysGreat show. My favorite soccer podcast. Dotun has been nothing but one of my favorite people to listen to and his guests are superbly knowledgable. If they don't know what you are talking about, you are most likely wrong. The Leone Ranger, a The Big Wheel, Galatasarhas, and of course the Legendino Tim Vickey will make you think of players and get you interested in something you were aware of and knew existed but wanted to know more about. I've been listening from the States for years and just expect when you are on a long trip that you bookmark the last four episodes. five stars.
-
Rolie BKThe bestGreat show. Duton can be kind of annoying and corny but not too bad. Tim is the best, Nina is not bad, The guy that covers Europe needs to shut up about Man City and the American & African guys are decent.
-
LfcdrewMy fav!!!Been listening for years. Out of all the podcasts I listen to this is my favorite.
-
VivalosdoyersMy fav football podcastPaul Sarahs is the best, Tim Vickery is great to. I watch mostly premiere league, so I learn so much about the other leagues around the world from this show. Dotun The hosts has a great sense of humor and keeps the show flowing and everyone in line. I'm a big fan, keep it up guys.
-
Tom DryjanskiNot updating this week.I'm distraught, I'm sad, I'm afraid the best football podcast might not be here for me anymore. Where will I get my long form bad jokes? Who will explain the game's cultural precedents to me? I really hope it comes back. Save me Doton!
-
Abrizo5 Star IndeedHands down best football show By some distance. Grateful to have hour long discussion on the game, cultures, politics, history etc
-
Stephen MianoShort podcastThere was a problem with the 12/22 podcast. Only 8 minutes played. Where is the rest of the show?
-
True YarnLove it too muchBest football show on earth. Tim is a genius and the rest of the crew are just fine:) however, as am African from Ghana, we need more news from our continent and that Nigerian that says he doesn't know or always beating around the question. Good effing show though
-
Rudeboy2012Best pod everGreat pod!

-
rpousjrUSA doesn't care about football aka soccerAt 1st didn't like it but it's growing on me. Less football talk about USA central and south America and more chat about Europe football !!!!!
-
RoscoeRoeMy Favorite Podcast!!!! Legendinho (Tim Vickery 4 FIFA President!! Andy forAs a South American who grew up in the US, I am so grateful to have access to this informative & analytical and often with the right amount of comedic spin. These guys are amazingly entertaining.
-
vanderschmootChuck the Big Wheel!!This is one of the more insightful footy podcasts around. Tim Vickery and Andy Brassell and fountains of knowledge about the players in their respective regions and Dotun plays great host. The only problem, and it's a big one, is when Sean Wheelock is on the show. A more pompous blowhard you've never heard. He's tedious, joyless and, sorry to say, just not that bright. If they want to expand football's reach in the USA using a bush league American journalist who thinks he knows everything is not the way to do it.
-
seventhrowscreamerLove this PodCan't wait for the weekends to hear all the Brazilian shirts.
-
Houston SocerGreat show, except......for Sean. Good lord, almost all of his comments about MLS are years out of date. He's so consistently factually wrong about MLS. It's so appalling.
-
QuinnybEnjoymentThey always for-fill me with their knowledge of world football leaving me satisfied all the time. Peter
-
Kid TurboLove it.Best football show there is. Period.
-
Kem The Remix10/10The rotating panel of pundits provides informative and entertaining content each week. This podcast is as essential as the weekly futbol matches discussed on the programme.
-
ZasaJoeyBest podcastBest football podcast period!!!!!!!!
-
fatzillaTheir politicsDON'T EVER COME INTO PLAY. the person who left a negative review is evidently a right-wing nut who took offense at some random comment he/she took improperly. This is simply the best rotating group of world football experts. The big wheel can ramble a bit but sometimes is insightful. Brassel is fun occasionally funny and writes for 10,000 publications so u kno he's quality. And the Legendhino is just a gem, I could listen to him opine on football and refrence old music all day. When one or more of these are gone their replacements are suitable. Listen if you enjoy football
-
Seanb20114Their politicsThese guys are so liberal, and never say anything even remotely controversial. I understand that UK laws are different, but c'mon guys spice it up. Vickery tells the same stories over and over.
-
SPraveenKTim is the best. The best pod on football.
-
I love fussbolBest futbol coverageTim Vickery ..........just brilliant
-
dcunited81Great timesNot only is this podcast informative but it's a blast to listen to and a great way for those old and new to the game to gain knowledge... Plus it's amazing to c the global nature of the game!! They bring the best journalists to the show each week and are never at a loss for words, lol!!
-
AerowazBest Soccer Podcast Out ThereI'm an avid soccer follower and this is by far the best podcast on soccer. The hosts are incredibly knowledgeable and have a good rapport so it's fun to listen to. One of the panelists, Tim Vickery, knows more about soccer than any one I've ever heard talk about the game. It's a must-listen; I find myself mentioning things I learned from the podcast to my friends all the time.
-
acehighpatA great show that features knowledgable hostsDo yourself a favor and check out this show. All three hosts are knowledgable in the beautiful game.
-
gangle5 Live World Football Phone-in is great for Football starved Americans!!I wish there were a way to get more programs like this! I look forward to it all week! I can't get enough of the Legendinho; not his singing! The best aspect of this show is that, for a change, the world game feels like a true world community and you are part of it. From the Ronaldo Ferrari jokes to the "Football Fan" mix, I wish that I could hear it more than once a week.
