QBRASWELLThank You!!!!!Thank you 🙏🏾 for the podcast! Love love love ❤️ The Wire!!!!!!!!

Calais TWatch your mouthsI enjoyed listening to this podcasts however stop saying baby mama, it sounds racists when you say it. You are not from the culture and some sayings you do not get to say. Why not refer to her as the mother of his child? Also, those are Wallace’s younger siblings, he’s not trading in the next generation of drug dealers. His mother is an alcoholic and he looks after his siblings. The interviews are good though, and I enjoy it.
-
oscar1300LOVE ITlove the interview bits from the cast and the two hosts are great
-
Poet1221Rip Lance ReddickSuch a fine amazing actor. You guys might wanna check out the hbo show THE CORNER, it’s a prequel to the Wire sorta. Many Wire actors in it
-
Ifkemdj2838Changing my reviewI previously left a less positive review complaining about the choppiness in the editing in Season 1. After listening to seasons 2 and 3, it seems like they made a lot of improvements on this front that made it much more listenable. It really is a well done podcast, with a lot of good humor and good interviews from cast members - my mind is officially changed. 5*

-
TheUltimateFunnySo excited to see this show back!Best podcast about the wire- hands down. Love the use of interviews with cast members as well as the interaction between Kobi and Dave. Some of the best editing I’ve heard on a podcast, very inventive and entertaining. Missed this show when they took a long hiatus between season 2 and season 3, so glad it’s back with additional Patreon content. Keep up the good work guys!
-
TheWangWhere are you guys?Great Great podcast for the greatest show. It’s now 2021, when u guys coming back?

A5J24Best Companion Podcast to The WireThis is an exceptional companion podcast to The Wire. I was very impressed & pleasantly surprised that they even incorporated commentary from the actors of the show! I am dismayed that there are no seasons past season 2, especially since the other Wire podcasts pale in comparison (I’ve tried them all). Come back!!
-
Melody CWhoa!!!! 😢What happened!!! I’m got all into this podcast and just realized there was nothing beyond season 2!!!! Where’d you go???? 😭 Well, I do really like the setup of what I’ve already heard. I watched The Wire for the first time May 2020 and this podcast was a great companion. Please come back.... it’s not too late!
-
ET5683Come Back!Loved their episodes just wished they had kept going. All their is a promise of more episodes from last November on Twitter.
-
Illini_ZeusGreat mix of content.Discovered this pod after being severely disappointed in the new Ringer Wire podcast. I’m glad I found to help fill this quarantine craze, cheers!

ArcherNovaREAL PO-CastThis is how you do a podcast reviewing a TV show/Movie. It’s interesting that this is done by Brits (well an Englishman and an Irishman) about an iconic show that’s a snapshot of inner-city life of an American city. Their outside perspective is refreshing. Using good-natured humor and relaxed rapport, we get to relive the episodes. And hear from cast members and others about a beloved show intermixed w clips from the episodes. A superb level of knowledge of the details of the show is but a part of the greatness of this podcast. The hosts enthusiasm for the show is infectious and keeps me smiling. Perfect for taking your dog on a run while you bicycle and enjoy their narration. We need to send them a care package of famous crab cakes, lake trout, old bay seasoning, blue crabs and ring dings. Thank you!!!! Much love to all involved. PS—keep the burner phone going! : )
-
nycteacher27Top notchAbsolutely love this podcast! Rewatching the wire over 10 years after seeing it for the first time (and after a stint living in Baltimore myself) and this is such a wonderful way to expand and add on to my viewing experience. It’s well produced, well researched and overall just a great accompaniment to an excellent series. PLEASE WHEN IS SEASON 3 COMING OUT!?! I just finished watching season 2 and am hesitant to continue without you guys! 😭😭
-
MuyBuenoPlease season 3!Can’t wait! When is it coming?
-
PopyeDoyleAn amazing break down of an unbelievable show!I have watched The Wire at least six or seven times over, before I became an officer and of course after. I just started season 2 of The Wire Stripped and am loving the breakdown, insight and interviews of cast members. Was really getting concerned that I only saw 2 seasons of The Wire Stripped but looking on comments seems like they’re developing season 3 still. Look forward to every episode and special episode. Keep up the great work guys!
-
PJ-HGreat podLove this podcast and hope they come back for season 3. Hosts are good and they bring on some great guests. The theme song (a cover of Way Down in the Hole) is pretty bad, but that’s only a minor blemish. Highly recommend.

KMac829Love “The Wire?” Then you’re in for a treat!I’m a big Wire fan, and I recently started my 3rd or 4th binge watch. Having gotten into podcasts in a big way lately, I decided to try this one. When I heard the British and Irish accents, I kept listening out of curiosity - I mean, how could two guys from across the pond have the first clue about the gritty world of The Wire? Boy, was I wrong! Not only are Kobi and Dave completely knowledgeable about every aspect of the show, they also get AMAZING guests - and their “burner phone” messages at the end are delightful - and show that The Wire is indeed globally beloved. I’m just starting Season Two of my rewatch, and I don’t know what I’ll do on long drives once I’m all caught up! This is, hands down, the best podcast-about-a-TV-show out there (even a little better than The West Wing Weekly.) Do yourself a solid and download this podcast posthaste - you’ll be SO glad you did! Each new episode is like opening a wonderful present. Huge, huge thanks to Kobi, Dave, and Tom for bringing this podcast into existence. Keep it up, PLEASE!!!

MoonlitMantraIf you are a fan of The Wire, definitely a fun listen.I liked this podcast a lot. I am a huge fan of The Wire and have only recently watched it for the first time! As soon as I was done I was so hungry for more discussion and information but I can’t seem to find a lot of friends who want to discuss an 18 year old tv show. I binge listened to this over the last week and thought it was so fun to listen to. Loved how the discussed all the key scenes from each episode and the different plot lines and tie all of the episodes together. It was also great to hear from cast and crew of The Wire and hearing everyone’s thoughts on everything throughout the series. I also crack up at their banter and how fired up they get about certain characters and scenes. Please come back with season 3!!!!
-
erockageGreat showWhen you coming back with season 3?
-
SwingingfriarQualityIt’s hard to wait a week to watch the next episode again with this podcast, but they put out a quality product, so it is understandable. Great show!
-
kronkonFun and EngagingMuch praise for all those who help with the show. Hats off to the hosts, being from the United States it’s entertaining to hear the chit-chat. Partially unafraid of judgement, these hosts express their opinions and guess what, they interview very major character actors for the show. Everyone involved sounds super genuine and is onboard for doing justice of remembering a piece of great work. Keep it up!
-
Nolby14Great podcast on a great (est?) showLoved it since I found it earlier this year! Keep up the great work!

Tapkapthe hosts r killing this pod castlove the material but the constant giggling of the hosts is maddening . they sound like adolescent boys caught doing something naughty . inane, senseless , constant bantering
-
Bsimp3340Needs a little workGuys, this had all the potentials to be a great podcast. The show it is about is incredible, some of the extra ideas like the burner phone are fun and different, and the interview subjects are spot on. What seems to be lacking is all the extra research/work surrounding the episode recap itself. I expected an indepth examination around the shows themes, details, etc. Instead it sounds like two friends talking about the episode they both just watched. Recap episodes should dive into some of the deeper meanings, relate to real life, look up statistics, become "experts" on the background of the show, the subject matter, etc. There are times when you seem to not even be able to recall a certain character's name or action. Pay attention to the closer details, make it just a tad less conversational and more analytical and you may have a much better show on your hands.
-
DtipdivaWhat the F did I do? LOVE this podcastLoved the show the first-time round. I found this podcast from a list on Ent Weekly so started listening and also re-watching on HBO GO. Great job, Kobe and Dave; added another layer of enjoyment to my rewatch. Keep up the good work, lads!!
-
NY EricGreat topicsThis whole podcast is amazing. From the bonus episodes to the detailed reviews of each episode. I really hope this goes on to cover all 5 seasons. I love The Wire. I even had a piece of art commissioned a few years back. A compilation piece of cartoonesque versions of all the big players. It’s a 1 of a kind piece. I love you guys for doing this!!!

NanaboogieSteve EarleNot only does Steve Earle play Waylon a very important part of Bubbles storyline, he also is the one that sings “Way Down in A Hole” the theme song for the show for the fifth season.
-
mdtrippeReturning to the SceneI welcome any excuse to revisit The Wire, and this show is a good one. The cast and fan interviews are just great. Cheers, guys.
