NinathecrabTrue Friend EpisodeThank you Amanda for your honesty and openness in this one. I recently had a falling out with someone I thought was a true friend and realized I did not even have a definition for what true friendship looks like. I have a problem with oversharring and extending way too much and that's because I haven't before this episode really defined what is true friendship and what is aquantanceship. I love how you ended the episode “the truest friend you can have is you.” I actually don’t think in my life I've had many true friends, and that's sad but also eye opening. But at least I know it starts with me.

FURIOUS & SAD FANGratefulAccess to honest information is harder to get to these days. I’m appreciative of the way Amanda offers us a place to start from… OR continue. As she comes into information so shall you. Keep opening those minds, Amanda!

The BK GuyAdsI love you and think you’re smart and funny and you have very good guests. The Ads are murder. It’s like when I stopped watching MSNBC in 2016. It seemed like every commercial was from oil and gas. We know that change only comes when corporations like McD’s(supporting the genocide) feel it in their pockets.

maa111777A gemAmanda Seales is and always has been a real one. Don’t come here if you’re not ready to listen and grow and question yourself. Don’t come here if you’re not ready for laughs and cackles in the middle of the gym when you’re listening, but also don’t come here if you’re not ready to be made to feel a little uncomfortable sometimes. She’ll push you and say it like it is. She doesn’t conflate opinions with facts. She gives space for dissent, respectfully. But she won’t compromise who she is, and especially won’t back down from advocating for those who need a voice. Amanda for Prez.

KayB42AmandaI love Amanda’s creativity, spirit, intelligence, vulnerability, humor, and kindness are so admirable. I love listening to her speak. Great podcast. -Long term listener

RoberautriceGems DroppedI know Amanda is brilliant, yet somehow she continues to elevate my viewpoints and further the conversation by adding points I hadn’t yet considered or even know were options. Even when she’s cracking jokes about how a particular instrument can make one more attractive (to most—not us) makes me ponder. She’s not wrong. This was such a good episode! I really like how she took us on the ride from Hollywood to politics and how it relates. Like the episodes with Chris Smalls about the labor unions, she really breaks it down for those of us who don’t know. She always pushes the conversation forward. Excellent episode as always.
-
MT_JayVery informativeI enjoy listening to this podcast weekly. The current episode with Angelica Ross was great. Keep up the great work Amanda

Alexandria17689Side Effects of Learning the TRUTH!I think Amanda Seales is a gift, and all the people she brings on the show are incredible and brilliant. Side effects of Haiti truly outraged me and made me feel robbed of the true history of Caribe all my life as a Dominican American. It is crucial that we shout from the rooftops the true history-reality of Ayití and the power and goodness that the country is. Growing up marginalized in the US i never f*d with the xenophobia against Haitians by the DR and the rest of the world. I know we must "love one another and support each other" as Black Antilleans. I love all Seales' podcast and speaking her truth. I love and appreciate and hope i can take what i learn from these podcasts to make a difference in my community! Empowering. Also if Dr Albert made a podcast i'd listen to every episode religiously.

LinelbadinelMcDonald’s ads?I’m just confused by McDonald’s ads…haven’t we been collectively boycotting them for their support of the genocide? I finally came to check out the pod and 10 minutes in I got blasted with 2 McDonald’s ads… so yea, I got turned off and tuned out.
-

AngeAlaLaLaVictim shamingI am so very sorry that this happened to you. I also commend you for your bravery in sharing your story. I experienced much of the subtle and not so subtle victim shaming that you describe. In my case I knew my assailant, he was someone I considered a “friend.” While most of my friends were supportive, I had one person ask me if I was certain that he had assaulted me, “because he seems so nice.” Another blamed me for “bringing the problem into the neighborhood” by talking about it. Another said that it was hard to believe me because I chose not to go to the police. Because we know just how helpful the police are in these situations. The reason I didn’t report it to the police was that similar to you (and many other victims of sexual assault, I had the experience of questioning my memory of details of the event. The reason this happens isn’t simply that we don’t want to believe that it happened, or that we are lying; trauma actually changes the structure of the brain causing foggy memories of traumatic event details. I was also afraid that if I was questioned and not believed, that I would start doubting what had happened to me. And since it was a he said/she said situation and because it wasn’t a “rape” according to the legal definition of rape, I was fairly certain that I wouldn’t be believed and I just didn’t feel strong enough to face that on top of the assault. It’s interesting that the whole time I’ve been writing this I’ve felt the need to explain and justify my choices. When someone is a victim of burglary we don’t ask them why they had stuff in their home that would make people break into their house to get the stuff. We still have so very far to go.

🔑aunaThank you.I appreciate your candor and being vulnerable for us. I’m sorry no one showed up for you throughout those trying times. It’s in those moments that demonstrate the resilience that’s gifted to us, but gradually learned to appreciate. Going through my trials and tribulations, though people have tried, it’s hard to involve individuals when your carrying such a weight your not even sure if you can carry yourself. But you do and to keep moving forward. I pray you continue finding that flame within. Thank you again. 🌸

Jeanette N 2435In Amanda we will ALWAYS trustJust wanted to be another voice to support you and thank you for what you do for our communities. I've learned so much from you and am so happy that I can trust the information and resources you share with us. There are so many opinions and the internet let's ppl magnify stupid takes and think pieces for engagement. Lots of us see the real and your heart. We love you.
-
M|M|FLove you, Amanda! You’re a light against these dark forces. We support you and have your back. I am so sorry for what you have been experiencing these last few weeks from dark forces in our community—The Root and Essence Magazine. You have a right to your feelings. They’ll continue to play in your face, but we “clock the tea.” You can guarantee support from me. I’ll buy, listen, and watch your work. We support you!

NfbakerLove itLove this podcast - loved in particular the episodes with Chidera Eggerue, Sherilyn Ifill, and Richie Reseda, as well as the “too much” episode. Actually getting large doses of knowledge and food for thought.

LoliloThank you for being you!I know I’m not your target audience, but I’m here for every word and learn a new perspective from every episode, in for all concepts social, civil, relationships. Love your voice in all ways. Love your curated guests. Thank you for all you do!
-
csebirdRitchie ResedaThis podcast should be required listening to every HS student in the USA. Required. I really needed some inspiration and after reading about Ritchie in Ijeoma Oluo’s new book and hearing him talk about him on her book tour, I was so glad to hear your conversation. I appreciate you Amanda.

Wazitooya456Amanda Seales is a pivotal point in education.Amanda and her guests speak the truth in a very digestible way. This podcast uses common vernacular, current phrases and defines words for concepts that oppressive systems try to uphold and hide under vague language. Not only that, she teaches us how to dismantle these systems. I have been listening for years and will continue.

UnAmused47Here’s to the FlowListening to Episode 308 on my way back from Mass and it truly is A Message. I also just listened to Mr. Franklin’s episode 303 AND WHEEW my black Catholic heart is ready💙 Mr. Franklin hit the nail on the head. Trust me, I had a decade of deconstructing, to put the heavy weight of the religion I carry and looking back I honestly thought the faith wasn’t for me but I’ve found God is more than the discrepancies of being human and I hear the call to show that there is love, even here in the church of the unloveable. This podcast just became my best friend 🫶🏾🌺💙 Here are your roses Amanda 🌹🌹🌹 can’t wait to watch the documentary🙏🏾
-
SimplyyLeaLoveReally love the show. Even when I don’t agree 100% with something that’s said it’s still overall great content that I enjoy listening to in my free time. Big fan of you and the pod!!!
-
maricariHighly recommend to learn more about the world we live inMy goal is to learn more about all the things Amanda Seales talks about with her subject matter expert guests. I am here to listen. Think about what I’ve heard. And how to incorporate this new found knowledge into my life to be a better friend.

Rath821So many gems!I honestly feel like Amanda Seales is my soul sister. We totally be going through the same thing at the same time. I love listening to her podcasts because they’re often so applicable to my own experiences. Anyway, this latest episode with Chidera Eggerue is SO GOOD! Loving every second. So many gems!!
-
Goose and BearThere isn’t a dose small enoughAmanda Seales is a hypocrite and is monetizing on topics about which she knows nothing. Spreading misinformation to masses is dangerous and breathtakingly ignorant.
-
definitely not sarahShe be knowin!Thank you Amanda Seals and team for this podcast. It’s fun, funny, insightful, and covers a variety of topics that resonate with me. Highly recommend!

LamarMFIt’s what I’m looking for in podcastingIt’s a really good podcast. That’s for the people who might not want to read a long post lol. In the “podcast space” a lot of people tend to start podcasts for the simple goal of being heard and maybe making money. This doesn’t seem like those. It’s really informative yet remains lively (imagine Amanda not keeping the energy up lol), and she brings on great guests. Many of the guests I already knew, but it doesn’t seem like she’s bringing on people because of their popularity. She clearly brings them on because of the value they bring to her and her audience.
-
RoosiesMumReturning Listener! Wonderful growthI followed Amanda from Insecure, and followed Issa from YouTube. I’m a fan of Amanda’s comedy. She lost me a bit during the pandemic with a focus on astrology and mysticism. Anyway, I’m back. I work from home and love podcasts. I’m proud of Amanda. She’s grown as a host and interviewer. It’s inspiring. Keep up the great work and content!
-
FSZ-NYCA legendA much needed voice while also saying what we are thinking and need to hear. Thank you for your insightful interviews and humor. Much love!

305JohaSmall Doses - The Family BusinessAmanda is a thoughtful and intentional interviewer. Really enjoyed KevOnStage and MrsKevOnStage
-
Boo apple!Hateful bigotAmanda doesn’t think Jewish people are humans. She truly enjoyed watching gross violence against innocent people that she has deemed “are on stolen land”. Pretty sure she lives in America which is on stolen land so by her logic……
-
Toaster5SO GOOD!Just LOVE this podcast.
-
MistyEagleAll the things for Representative Crockett & AmandaThe Jasmine Crockett episode is an essential listen to really understand why the current system is in disarray and why we’ve got to be strategic with our votes. There is way too much at stake. Thank you Jasmine for your passion, your integrity and your brilliance. Thank you Amanda beating the drum to embrace critical thinking.
-
justinlucas246Jasmine CrockettI love love loved this episode. It was so educational as well. I felt like I kind of knew a little about some of the topics and I feel like she dumbed it down for me to understand way better. Thank you Amanda 💚💚💚

PammywammyxoAll hail Amanda!I’ve been listening since the beginning. Amanda will school you on things you thought you knew everything about. Be open and optimistic to learn. She comes with her opinion and the facts to match! Love Amanda and watching her grow and evolve into her truest form has felt so rewarding. Especially with the documentary, I just purchased it and plan on watching as soon as I get these kids to sleep. So proud of you Amanda, would love to see you on tour again. Just come to MA so I don’t have to drive to NY again. Even if you don’t I’ll still travel just to have that experience again.
-
dopeassthomasAnd keepin’ it realI didn’t know how much I rocked with Amanda until I found Small Doses. I usually listen while I work out. The podcasts are informative, sometimes serious, usually goofy, and hella relatable.

Finance struggleMasterpiece: Marianne Williamson interviewAmanda does a great job of posing questions in a sort of chronological order. This helps provide a base level understanding of who Marianne is any why she deserves to be considered for the 2024 presidential election. Amanda’s interviewing tenacious style gives Marianne a chance to provide sounds solutions to issues she speaks loudly against. In this interview you will witness the humanity behind Marianne’s political views. Job well done! Amanda may’ve bought herself the opportunity to be Marianne’s communications director. If you know, you know. Great job Amanda! Thinks for seeing the value in having this conversation on your platform!
