    Whoa!!!
Terrible! Do these recappers even watch the show?!?!

The girls need to go. This podcast would be so much better without them. Very annoying voices.

    Awful
These recappers have no idea what they are talking about. Head over to the podcast Hell Yeah Homeland. Best podcast EVER if you are a true Homeland fan.

    The Worst
Season 6 recappers are quite possibly the worst after buzz tv panel EVER! They talk over each other 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time they leave u wondering if they a) are brain damaged; b) actually watched the show or are relaying what they heard from a group of 4th graders talking about the show and c) actually graduated from high school. The collective IQ couldn't have exceeded 85. I'm not sure if I'm even going to continue listening. If I do, I'll see if either they improve or more likely (hopefully ) they all get fired and replaced and I'll re-review.

    Details people
I've given this podcast a few tries but I'm really struggling to listen when I spend a good 3rd of the show correcting the hosts or answering their questions aloud. They consistently miss details of the episode. They don't know the names of all of the characters, they're missing major background stories from previous seasons and just don't seem to be very knowledgeable of the show in general. I don't want to waste my time listening to people that know less than me about that show that actually get paid to do this...

Could really do without the ghetto talk from the new crew , really ruins the podcast for me. Makes me want to unsubscribe and tell people not to listen

I really enjoy their rehash and opinions about characters and plot twists. No body is perfect but all opinions are well thought out and enjoyable.

These hosts bring insightful commentary to this outstanding series. They never fail to relate a plot point or character nuance that I may have missed. This is not a podcast to be missed! Thanks!

    Luv ur podcasts
I love your podcasts (Frank, Julian, Stephanie) and I think your insights are great, however, I need you to know that we listeners depend on you guys (after all there are 3 of you) to keep all of the facts straight and provide a window into anything we may have missed. Below are my thoughts on last night’s episode “Parabiosis”. But first I must back track, in the season one opener we find out that Saul and Carrie’s relationship is strained because Saul believes that Carrier tanked his bid to be director of the CIA. We can presumed that Carrie blew up Saul’s chances after she found out the Saul was aligned with Dar Adal on removing Haqqani (last season’s protagonist) from the “Kill” list. Dar made a deal with Haqqani and he told Saul he would put him on the short list for CIA director. Don’t forget that Allison planted the seed the Carrie leaked the CIA docs to Laura in Saul’s head, so right now rightly or wrongly Saul shuts Carrie down. This also leads me to believe whatever Dar’s position is within the U.S. Government, he outranks or is an equal to Saul in a parallel spy universe (officially or unofficially). We could presume that after Carrie torpedo Saul’s chances at becoming director that the powers that be decided to make Dar the CIA Director. Saul is head of the CIA’s Europe division. Dar is definitely not Saul’s subordinate in Season 5. . After last night episode (#6) it appears that Dar is calling all of the shots. Dar only puts people in placed that he thinks he can control. Who will Quinn turn to? Once he has sufficiently recovered, he will turn to Astrid and/or Saul and somehow reconnect with Carrie. Quinn has to know that Saul didn’t order the hit on Carrier or him. Hopefully he avoids Dar and Allison. Regarding Carrier relationship with her employer Otto, I don’t think they had bad relationship. Otto’s billionaire arrogance led him to believe that he was invincible and that the threat at the Syrian refugee camp was not that great. Hezbollah proved Carrie right when they attacked the group in Syria. He feels guilty that he pushed for the visit, thereby placing Carrie in the crosshair of her enemies. This is why he is doing everything possible to help Carrie out of the situation (flying Franny home, giving Carrie his plane and giving the thumb drive to Carrie). His opposition to American foreign policy and the CIA doesn’t make him a bad guy, it just makes him naïve. I think Otto knows that whatever Carrie and Saul are mixed up in he needs to wait to see how it plays out. Carrie loves Jonas as much as she can, however, her job has always been her first love. Jonas never stood a chance. They could end up together but only if Carrie can walk away from the CIA. Jonas like most civilians doesn’t know or understand the depth of what the CIA and other government’s agencies do in the name of protecting their respective countries. Saul stealing the documents and placing thumb drive in Otto’s coat was brilliant. The scenes between Saul and Dar where wonderful. It is amazing that Allison can manipulate seasoned CIA leaders so easily. I am surprised that Saul and Dar and have not picked up on Allison. Maybe they are play acting at being at each other’s throats in order to catch Allison? Keep up the good work!

I subsribe to quite a few show podcasts...........enjoy them thoroughly. My only comment is there is too much laughing at the side jokes. Also talking over each other is hard to listen to. Otherwise, love the podcasts............all of them!

    GREAT!
I can’t believe I just discovered this. I had a bunch of questions about the season finale and you guys cleared them all up and more. Love your laid back but super knowledgable style. Thanks!! Will be tuning in for Season 5.

    Not bad
I don't mind the podcast. The crew is pretty funny.

    Enjoyed the whole season!
You guys are insightful, fun and obviously huge fans. I love that you're not afraid to critique the show either when they don't play and angle straight or when they miss an opportunity. Thanks for a great season!

    Could be so much better
Not a fan of Thadeous so appreciated the person filling in. However, Danny Hoyt is such an idiot. He adds some juvenile input that doesn't match the audience of "Homeland" I only gave it two starts beacuse the guy filling in was really good.

Re: Saul fighting to stay in the van. I believe it was his way of trying to let Carrie & Co know that something was terribly wrong. And of course, we see the child in the vest thereafter. I loved last weeks podcast with just the guys. It was full of insight and conversation. That said, I suppose how many people form a panel is always evolving. The chemistry between this panel worked well for me. Thank you all!

    I want to love it.
As much as I want to **love** this, there are times the hosts get very lost. They easily get stuck on a subject that is not that important to a story line. If it weren't for burning time on road trips, or needing to listen to something while doing paperwork at my desk, I would probably skip. Not trying to be over critical, just hope they see and can improve and make it the GREAT podcast it could be.

    Really Enjoyed!
You guys did a great job this week, always love to hear your take on things. Thanks for explaining the two groups within ISI bc it was getting confusing without understanding how that works. You didn't discuss the fact that Ayen told Carrie that Hakani was very ill. I wonder if its what Lexie said and its prostate cancer based on the testosterone Ayen took. Maybe you could discuss it next week if they mention it again in next weeks show. This is one of my favorite Afterbuzz panels bc you always seem to have a great time together. Great prediction re Carrie taking the drone shot, I definitely think its during Saul's transfer to Hakani.

Excellent discussion tonight. The writers of Homeland have done great at reviving the show without Brodie!!

just wanted to clarify on the salwar kameez
just wanted to shed some light on salwar kameez. Coming from a punjabi background i can safely say, that the salwar kameez falls into the category of everyday causal wear more so the seductive. it would be the equivalent of wearing a hoodie and sweatpants in the west. but of course there are various types. ranging from the super expensive one of a kind to the everyday casual. I’m still not sure how the title fit in with the episode..

    Great
I was glad to see that Nando was on this because he knows how to run a show. Quinn’s girlfriend’s name came up as Eden on closed captioning. The most interesting thing about Carrie’s seduction of Aayan last week (sounds like a perfume) was that little does he know that the person that destroyed his family is standing right in from of him. Also, for all her sincerity, she is lying. She doesn’t want to help him. She wants to see what he knows. Poor kid. Keep up the good work!

    Great to unwind to
Love your podcast. Great dynamic between you all on the show. Flows easily and brings different point of views. Makes watching the show more fun! It's a perfect debrief to listen to as I fall asleep. 😴

    Buzzy
I listen to a whole bunch of these AfterBuzz podcasts. Each one has their own hosts. They are the quickest uploaded after a show and offer some great instant reactions. If you are a fan of a show and maybe your friends aren't that into it or you just want to hear some regular fans reactions this is the place to go. Check em out. There are so many shows to choose from. Beats regular radio with commercials any day.

    A disappointment
This show has so many fascinating plot lines and characters to discuss in depth but half the time the one podcaster can't get past her desire to bed CIA operative Quinn. I love this show and would like a more thoughtful presentation..

    Fun podcast
I like listening to this podcast and hearing the different theories the hosts have- it's interesting to compare to my own ideas. Last week there was a lot of talk about the accuracy of the bipolar depiction- as someone who has relatives with this disease, the depiction of bipolar is dead-on in my opinion. Maybe the hosts could do a little research online about bipolar instead of just guessing or basing their opinion on the tv show alone? That way they could feel more confident when speaking about it? Part of what makes the show fascinating is the inclusion of this story line and the way it affects Carrie. Her behaviors are text book bipolar type I symptoms. I think the hosts would get a lot more out of the show if they read up a bit on this disease. I really like the show and hope the hosts won't take this as an insult. I just know that they are generally right about the bipolar assumptions and it stinks that people are calling them out claiming that 'all bipolar people aren't that way.' Of course they aren't! But a lot are just like Carrie. We can all learn a lot about this disease from the show.

Good show, WAY ignorant about mental health
I like Homeland, and this podcast does a decent job of discussing the show. What is said about bipolar disorder is incredibly assumption-based and ignorant, however. Clare Danes is incredibly gifted, but that doesn't mean her bipolar character is accurately depicted. I especially resented quotes on this podcast like "'They' don't like to take their medication." Referring to all people with bipolar. Not only is that WAY inaccurate (not every person with bipolar experiences a euphoria as part of the dysthymic cycling back and forth from rage & despair to mania; many people feel the depression-phase for more than 98% of the time and they are grateful pretty much solely for some of the medications which make their lives almost bearable), but it is a huge generalization about a diverse and largely non-homogeneous population. The hosts of this podcast should have known better. Homeland is brilliant because of the questions it raises about spying, the intelligence community, politics vs policy, and terrorism, but it does NOT have a reputation for being a show about people managing mental illness. No one would ever work in the CIA building premises without a psych clearance, and you can't hide bipolar. The very premise of Homeland is flawed- and yet, truthfully it doesn't make me love it any less. I'm only raising the issue because of how it's been handled on this podcast. In sum, I plan on continuing to listen to this podcast as long as the hosts stay within their relegated professional specialties. Thank you.

    Host Issue
I really would like to keep listening to this podcast but I am getting frustrated by Lauren dominating the show. She interrupts the other hosts, talks over them, and then just keeps repeating herself. Several times tonight she demanded that they "wait" while she wrapped her mind around something. Seriously? Her passion for Homeland is evident but it is getting in the way of the conversation.
  • Andechr
    Love Love Love!
With all the intensity and moving pieces in Homeland it truly takes a team to unpack what's actually going on and make any sense of it. It's great to have the AfterBuzz team on hand to provide other viewpoints and insights. Keep up the great work. I'll be listening every week.

    Get serious...
Please....more talk about the episodes, and less drooling over Quinn ( we get it...you think he is sexy). This podcast could be 5 stars if not for the immature distractions.
  • RhylanB
    Unorganized discussions
Crew goes off on too many tangents. Thaddeus highlights his ignorance by calling Carrie “crazy” and her being in the “nut house”. Way to go for a show about a person with mental illness. Not my favorite Homeland podcast.
  • Amen2086
    5 stars!!!
I listen to this podcast every week - very insightful and can be humorous too. Well done!

    Laziest Podcast ever.
The hosts actually had the gall to ask us to tell them if Mike was returning to the show this season because somebody asked last week. Seriously? You had a week to look it up but want us to do it? I realize they're supposed to be just two people who watched the show discussing it, but take some phone calls. Have a guest who actually knows the show. Something. Do your homework for crying out loud. BTW, I do happen to know the answer because I spent 5 minutes on the internet. I won't give any details, but hint: He's a series regular on The Blacklist.

    Crazy
Hey guys love homeland and love ur podcast but damnu had to throw in that it's better than breaking bad!? That's crazy talk. Don't know if u have ever seen bb but there is nothing homeland does better... Nothing. Homeland is a great show but BB is on another level. Love ur podcast but just needed to address my thoughts on that. Will def keep listening but just want u to give ur opinion on the show and not compare it to other shows

    Could be great
Get rid of the women, they keep talking over everyone. Also their commentary is not very good.

My first 4 star rating for afterbuzz
Hey guys, good show as are your other podcasts. I listen and subscribe to over 140 podcasts, about 20 of which are afterbuzz. But I have to gripe about just a little thing..... STOP CALLING IT BLACK OPS! You must be playing a bit too much Call of Duty and are now using this as your go to reference. In respect to the show and what the CIA does, it's called "Shadow Ops"... Carrie and Sol are not running around with a S.E.A.L. Team with night vision in action missions. ARGH!! Drives me nuts this little thing, but I do want to thank Thad for not drinking and gulping on mic anymore. Okay that's all.....

    Season 3 Prediction..
Isn't it obvious? Carrie is being promoted to Sr. Station Chief. So she has to leave the USA and plant herself. Brody is now outside the USA. Hmm.. Connect the dots.. Clair happens to be positioned in the same country as Brody? You could build 5 episodes just getting the two of them in the same country and then together. Each CIA Station has a safe house.. controlled by the station chief. It could even be Canada. The USA has a great deal of interest in non Canadians who may want to create havoc down south.

    Keep the podcasts coming....
I love listening to the AfterBuzz podcasts for all the great shows (Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Walking Dead, American Horror Story) and especially Homeland! This is a great podcast, and I like the banter and also the seriousness. The cast gets along great, and I love that most of there comments are what I comment when watching the show. Please dana change your boots :) Oh and if the cast has not watched the SNL skit of homeland, you got to check it out.
  • dawney44
    To much off topic!
I was really excited for a Homeland Podcast...........but these hosts go off topic way to much. We are listening to this to discuss the show, not other issues.......
  • Egmin88
    Finally!!
I love the podcast but I could do without the long tangents. It gets frustrating because I'd like to hear about the Homeland not so much the political/historical/personal beliefs rants or at least cut them to half of what they are now!
