WTF_All_Nicknames_TakenGreat Light Detective StoryI really enjoy this podiobook. Great writing, and although I've never been, I feel like I'm in Louisiana surrounded by interesting characters.

emlaheyBest story ever! This podcast is so good that I and my husband listen to over and over again. Every few months he asks me to download it again because it's so well done. Great cast, excellent voices and great story.

kjones00A decent mysteryThis book started off great, likable character, story got moving right away, the author really connects you with the story. However, the story kind of abruptly branches off about halfway through, and beginning there the book starts going downhill. The story gets convoluted and I was never quite clear on what the hell was going on much past the halfway mark. As such, I started to get bored with it. Kept going until the finish line, but the whole time I felt like my understanding was about 2 epi's behind...I could never quite "catch up" with what was going on. The ending was pretty lame also. Kind of sad since I was really into this book initially. Production was top notch, and they were nice enough to put the 7minutes of credits and chit chat at the end of each epi so it's easy to skip. It's an ok book, starts strong but ends weak.

utdfjServe It ColdThis is the best podio book I've downloaded from here yet. Well written, characters developed, professionally narrated. Music, sound, all good. Like the Dancing Cat Studios. Main characters were endearing, and I couldn't wait to get back to it. Really paints a picture of the setting. I was actually trying to google the town and locate the trips on the map. Very vivid. Was a little disabppointed with the end, but the rest of the book carried well. Would like to hear more of Big John's stories.

Cre8tivemyndNot my cup of teaI tried really hard to like this one. It was nice it had all the voices, it just could not keep my attention. I even got to chapter 16 before deciding to find something else to listen to. I was just bored with the story line and did not find it interesting.

avid reader1Serve it ColdOh My God! That was my first thought after listening to the first 4 minutes. It has to be the best podiobook that I have heard. It puts me in mind of an upbeat urban “Fried Green Tomatoes”. Obviously, a lot of work went into creating this podiobook. The characters (ranging from the nosey neighbor—more comical than Gladys Kravitz from “Bewitched”— to the main character who displays all the attributes of a laid back southern) are well developed, relatable, and many are identifiable in my neighborhood. The sound effects are realistic and the narration is excellent. Also, I love how the author begins each chapter with a gossipy phone conversation that recaps the preceding chapter. It is ingenious and hilarious! I listened nonstop from beginning to end. Accolades to Mr. Blackwell for a job well done.
