This is a great show. Interesting topics discussed with humor and good info

    Cogent, concise, useful
I found this by way of Marketplace, and it uses a similar if slightly more casual journalistic style. Episodes are well-researched and explore multiple points of view on varied subjects. Hosts are personable and charismatic but still professional enough to get their information across clearly.

    The best!
You have the very best podcast. You pick on interesting subjects. You ask smart questions. You get smart people to be the "talking heads" to answer your questions. (I particularly like when you have on Quartz reporters.) You don't insult the audience's intelligence. Your clarity and production values are good. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, YOU GUYS!!!

Machine to save the World - Terrible
Most radio unfriendly voices with a severe lack of basic understanding of how economics works laid out right in the opening of the program.

    Amazing, insightful, snarky, fun.
What a well put together podcast. The production value is incredibly high. These two guys are also engaging and charismatic. Each podcast is fresh and new. I love it.

    Great podcast
Actuality is one of my favorite podcasts. It's a great way to learn about very interesting things that are not often reported on. 10/10 would recommend

    Smart Buddies
These two are your witty buddies you invite to dinner to dish over random topics that somehow become very important feeling. They do a nice job of breaking down too if mind news or topics without taking themselves too seriously.
  • Debate is fun.
    Time and Description
Please denote the podcast's length and description….otherwise well done.

    After the Avalanche
The first podcast I listened to was the one devoted to the Nepalese earthquake, and I was interested to hear about what it was like on the ground - so to speak. What another reviewer has said about the "clunky" aspect, was true for me as well. Not enough time to really examine what the cataclysm was, from the perspective of the reporter, or David Breashears, made it seem a bit glib, and self-conscious. Groovy catastrophe reporting. I would say that length, in this case, would have made for a better podcast. In subsequent podcasts, however, I feel that the hosts have found their footing, and that there is much more getting down to business, asking the important questions, and framing of answers in a way that is enlightening. Like Marketplace, and Planet Money, Actuality is helping to make economics more understandable and palatable!

    Metaphors to die for
I am pleasantly surprised my my love of this show. I tend to like the highly produced and edited species of podcast, so did not expect to enjoy actuality. However, the show is fantastic. The humor is my style entirely and I have learned so much from the guys. The stories are well chosen and told. I look forward to the metaphors! I have subscribed and listened to all previous episodes. Nice job.

Decent content, but not worth the constant downloads of old episodes
I like Marketplace, and Actuality is in the same vein of getting well-told stories behind the story. However, the feed puts about six to twelve old episodes in the feed every week, as if I want to listen to every episode every few weeks. No thanks.

    Great podcast
I've listened to most of the episodes of Actuality so far and I really like it. I really like Marketplace and it's nice to hear some longer economic stories from their team. I found the story about the business of Everest is really interesting.

    Sonification was kind of boring.
It was odd and differant, I will revisit after it gets its footing. The hosts are great and have done great pieces on the show so there is much hope.

A great start to a cool partnership
So far, very informative and fun. I'm a big fan of Marketplace and Quartz (sign up for the daily brief if you haven't already). The hosts are very good at what they do, and the topics have been cool. There's a lot of potential with this podcast. Well done!

    So far so good
Love all the Marketplace shows and this is a nice longform addition to their roster. Interesting topics, great sources… I’m subscribed!

Two episodes in, I'm a fan!
I wrote this email to the hosts: "Hi, just wanted to let you know that I love the podcast so far. Learning more about the global economy is fascinating and hearing you two joke around at the end is very funny and endearing. All I want to change is for the episodes to lengthen to a half hour!"

    Review of Popcorn Time Episode
Really well done, really interesting. Only critique I would have is regarding the interview with the programmer. It was at some points cringeworthy and a bit clunky. I say cringeworthy because while I appreciated the direct questions, it almost came off as if you were attacking the guy. Also, why did the interview end so abruptly? Perhaps a bit of finesse is needed… Overall, good work! Keep it up! Looking forward to more episodes.

    Not What I Was Expecting...
This podcast does a deep dive into recent economic stories tying in some historical context (guano is the grandfather of oil apparently). It's good and I like both the format and the hosts, but what I was expecting to hear was behind the mic story development. I was hoping to hear producers arguing in meetings and "overlords" cutting pieces near and dear to producers' hearts.
