The Drawdown Agenda

23

The Drawdown Agenda is an exciting new podcast series exploring the ground-breaking research behind the best-selling book Drawdown, a new and inspiring vision how we can reverse global warming by achieving “drawdown” – when atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations peak and begin to decline.

Every fortnight, we speak to key members of the Drawdown team, a broad coalition of researchers, scientists, policy makers, business leaders and activists who have mapped, measured, and modelled the 100 most important climate solutions that can help us reach “drawdown.” We explore the key carbon-reduction solutions across the seven sectors at the heart of Drawdown— food, women and girls, transport, materials, building and cities, and land use- as well as emerging solutions. We discuss how these solutions work in practice, explore the momentum for change, and look to the future as we learn how we can take collective action to achieve “drawdown.”

    Refrigeration?
I’ve only listened to 2 episodes, so maybe this is addressed later. However, I’m wondering why refrigeration isn’t addressed since it is #1 on the list of impact. I’d like to know what the industry is doing and what we can do to support efforts to develop an alternative.

    First episode inspiring
Wow! What a different take on perspective from Paul Hawken. He’s on my radar now, and so is drawdown. The term is spot on and caught me the moment I heard it.

    Informative and Attainable Climate Solutions
I've followed Drawdown for a while, so it is nice to have this podcast to continue to provide a positive perspective on climate solutions that are already in practice.

Global warming is happening for us
People don’t organize around problems; we organize around possibilities. This podcast explains what it means that “Global warming is not happening TO us. It is happening FOR us.”

Insightful, exciting, important addition to the climate change conversation
I love the in-depth conversations The Drawdown Agenda shares with us. I am training to be an eco-spiritual chaplain, and I find it very useful to hear the language used by experts in discussing sensitive topics.
