M.E.AbRequesting PodcastHello! Thank you for this interesting podcast. I have a proposal if you’re up for it. Can you do a podcast on the history, formation and ideology of how Star Trek and the United Federation of Planets got rid of poverty, disease, money and formed into the governing structure that is as unique as it claims to be it is in its later iterations. What is the ethos and practical ideals that were prized on the show. If your able to nuisances and detailed descriptions of policies that would very helpful. I would love to hear that podcast. Thank you

GrayecatUnbalancedIf you are hoping for a political analysis of Star Trek, and the principles of Star Trek, across real world events, that is balanced between multiple political ideologies this is not the podcast for you. The host approach their topics from similar ideologies with no attempt to understand those that would disagree mildly or strongly with their world views.

superdaisyThoughtful and thought-provokingI always learn something new and find a new way to look at Trek or the world. As a bonus, the messages and themes are ultimately uplifting, appropriate for Trek’s optimism. Note: the sound quality improves immensely around episode 10. Feel free to skip ahead if you’re having trouble. I’d love to hear earlier episodes remastered or at least revisited with the better audio.

Bowen25Exactly what Trek is!If you’re a trek fan and not listening to this podcast I don’t know what you are doing. The hosts attack the topics that Star Trek spent its life span tackling. What makes this podcast different is how great the hosts are and how they aren’t afraid to take on controversial topics in the same way Star Trek does!

Postcard from RisaA Needed VoiceBarry and Shashank offer a civil discussion about often-controversial matters in our civic discourse. From espionage to environmentalism (and much more to come!) PoliTreks explores the intersection of Star Trek and our own society. Barry and Shashank tackle each issue in an insightful manner while they model a polite political discussion that our world very badly needs right now.
