Lacks intellectual honesty. When engaging in arguments on topics in which he feels incompetent relative to whoever he’s talking to, Eric often tries desperately to save face by misrepresenting his conversational counterpart’s ideas and/or assertions, effectively sabotaging what was supposed to be a shared intellectual pursuit.

Complete with the requisite metaphysics (the new physics), the charismatic leader (friend of celebrities), the dangerous enemy (the woke and the institutional narrative) and a monopoly on truth. Racism: Simply compare Eric’s white-hot rage at African Americans for the shooting of officers in Compton on Sept 12, 2020 and his utter silence about the death of officer Brian Sicknick after the Jan 6, 2021 insurrection by MAGA terrorists. Hypocrisy and Ruling Class Entitlement: Why won’t Eric talk about Palantir? Why don’t Eric’s own standards regarding truth, power and transparency apply to himself and to his employer? Status Envy: Eric is very, very angry about one simple thing - “they” won’t let him in the ruling elite “club.” Truly a sick mind and a wannabe cult leader. Between Eric and Bret, one has to wonder what their parents were like and whether there is any question at all they are being run by Mossad.

This show is amazing!

I just found this show and am tearing through the episodes. It’s gonna be disappointing when I don’t have any more to listen to, well it’s better off if you have something else going on. I don’t know much about Weinstein. I’m a Sam Harris fan and that camp of followers seems to be in opposition of him and his views on Covid and vaccines. I’m not too interested in any of that. I had heard on another podcast that he did a good interview with Riley Reid so I thought I would check it out. I lost interest and didn’t finish it but in it he mentioned he had Bret Easton Ellis on his show. So I was extremely interested in that. So my rating is based on that episode. I thought the first half of the show was good. It was fun listening to them talk about LA in the 80’s. I was surprised that Weinstein was into the band X. It was fun listening to them reminisce. But then when it started getting into talking about millennials it lost momentum for me. Granted this is an old episode. But trashing millennials has been exhausted by everyone on the planet and not very interesting. Trying to figure out the puzzle why a generation is the way it is and how you can make them more hip and cool like your generation feels like my grandparents banter over lemonade.

Waiting for the less smart, more pompous brother to admit his takes on President Trump are moronic. Where are your comments on the democrat’s senile fraud in chief? How about the amazingly dumb fascist commie democrat policies and democrat terrorism ? Eric must have realized he isn’t as smart and more importantly is much less wise than he thought.

I've been listening for years, lots goes into making this amazing content -nothing else like it!

Eric is intellectual, academic, thoughtful, knowledgeable about meaningful topics in life. I enjoy his intelligent guests and especially authentic conversations that never cease to illuminate. Unlike a few commenters, who complain his guests are seldom female, or his conversations too long, or he lacks political knowledge, don’t be misled by those undereducated. Eric is a deep study, impressive, informed and enlightened. His conversations are exceptional. 11-30-21. Your intelligent conversations are missed. Thoughtful commentary is rare. I so appreciate Eric’s insights, his unparalleled astute observations about culture, science and all topics under the sun, his ability to converse without the need for pathetic jocularity with some obtuse sidekick is refreshing and missed. Ignore the critics. They are too woke or mega to understand intelligent dialogue.

50/50 gender breakdown in the world and don’t know why only three guests are women and one is a freakin porn actor -get more female guests that aren’t porn actors (astrophysicists/biologists/etc). It’s a real sausage fest at this point

Such an interesting dialogue, variety of topics and guests, and an all-around great content. You don't have to agree with every single point made to realize that this podcast is important - the open-minded, intelligent, and respectful way of discussing complex issues is a rarity these days. Not to mention Eric's voice is made to be listened to!

A lot of good in his podcasts, except for the meandering introduction monotone readings of one or another thing of unrelated nature before getting to the topic of the cast. Got tired though of the constant excuses and victimhood bestowed on himself and later generations. Power is never ceded Eric, it is taken. No one gave Silent or Boomer generations, nor “you X’ers” (as you so proudly identify so as to be a victim yourself) wealth and property and set them up in life. Hard to figure where this concept emanates in your arguments. Stop the delusional feeding into the establishment narrative that is keeping young people in indentured servitude or dependent status. The Leftists you so rightly criticize for going off the rails want this status quo maintained and you are contributing while at the same time saying it needs to be upended. Stop helping the factions of the Left which have left you behind.

Instead of simplifying subjects for us peons to understand, he complicates things beyond comprehension. He has been shunned from the physics field for good reason, he is an entertainer more similar to Alex Jones than any real scientist.

Please study personality disorders. Guess who has every criteria on malignant narcissistic personality disorder? It’s a categorized list of types of entitlement and immorality. Identity’s of victims and grandiosity. These are most of the people in social services. The reason people are getting more ill with more services than ever in history is the increased enabling of personality disorder criteria’s. Once you understand personality disorders, people become clear. People are not special, confusing or mysterious. At all. We are incredibly predictable and behaving morally is not difficult in the least.

It is refreshing to hear intellectually stimulating content that isn’t afraid to tackle subjects outside of the status quo narrative such as the D.I.S.C., Epstein or the hypocrisy of our extremist 2 parties.

The radicals can’t stand you; must be doing something right. We need more even-keeled voices in these divisive times.

I was so excited when I discovered this podcast and I would anxiously await as each new one was published. I am hoping all is well with Eric, because there hasn’t been a podcast since December. 5 Stars for The Portal and please make more podcasts.

That was bad. You were all over the place, and it subjectively or objectively was unlistenable. I don’t know or care.

DUDE I do not know what you are doing now or why you have stopped podcasting. You were recently on joe Rogan, I know this bc my son in law told me. He talked about your experience at Harvard. Why are you sharing that with his audience and not your own? Get back in the seat in front of the mic. PLEASE😎✌️

The mental gymnastics from this guy is exhausting. The pretentiousness and cowardice is palpable. Pretends to be logical, but really is most concerned with appearing smart and not offending the mainstream narrative.

This podcast is like something out of Atlas Shrugged. “Pirate radio” as Eric himself often calls it. This is a place for boldness and struggle. For risks and mistakes. Eric makes no claims of perfection. He needs more practice at hosting. Podcasting is not his strength, but he’ll get better. He’s stated numerous times how nervous he’s been to attempt this venture. He’s trying. I admire the fact that in this way, Eric is bold enough to play the Fool, for that is the precursor to Enlightenment. Defs room for improvement, but a lot of good stuff here. Keep grinding Eric, eFF the naysayers.

I’ve never heard of a more brilliant mind then Eric’s, I’ve had the privilege to listen to him on the app the Clubhouse and now on his podcast the Portal, and the dialogue of the interviews and subject matter truly are mind expanding and important

A podcast form of his Twitter. He knows more math and physics than I ever will but he presumes being good at one thing makes his words golden on areas where he is weak like politics and the state of the union.

I can’t say enough about Eric’s ability to bring me in and make me feel a part of this human experience in such a time where there is nothing happening based in reality. It’s all a vail of misinformation and it’s just incredible to hear such a smart, rational and kind human being depicting the insanity of our current society. Thank you existing and saying what you see. People don’t talk about anything real for fear of offending or being labeled. Great courage and an inspiration to my generation. Pure love, and that is non existent in our leaders. Grateful.

Nice show, some interesting topics. Host tends to ramble off on a meaningless thought occasionally.

Fantastic conversations with open minded clarity. Yes, these are long podcasts but that’s ok with me. And anyone who ruffles the feathers of the intolerant blobs of both sides of the political divide is ok with me. A breath of fresh intellectual air is needed these days and Eric provides it.

Please keep on providing these conversations via the Portal. There are so few out there that are as consistently meaningful as yours. You are providing hope where there so little these days.
