    Stranglehold.
Complete drivel. The media personalities love to hear themselves in their echo chamber. 2020 NH primary. Talk about the person who won the Primary. It’s just too hard to step out of your echo chamber. This is nothing but NPR and Dem Corp. porno.

    Pulls back the curtain.
My DH is a native Nher, and has always been very proud of the First in the Nation status. He was fascinated by the podcast, and recommended it to his siblings. Well researched and reported.

    Good podcast
I’ve enjoyed this podcast for the most part. The episode featuring the students from VCU was awful, Particularly the closing comments from the naive student claiming to have felt dirty because organizations offered him internships because he was up here in NH. The kid needs to wake up. There are plenty of opportunities in other states, if you seek them out. On Twitter, I follow some of the NHPR reporters and they can’t stop congratulating themselves for the success of this podcast. Yes, it’s excellent but get over yourselves. It’s not like you are in a war zone covering a story!!! Finally, congratulations, you have contributed to the demise of the NH FITN primary.

    Stranglehold? Seriously?
The host says she doesn’t see the podcast as negative... Here’s a tip: if you’re trying to give a neutral or positive portrayal of a subject, maybe avoid terms usually intended to describe a kind of murder.

    Important
I’m a recent NH resident and I’ve felt a responsibility to educate myself not just on the candidates, but on the process that makes voting here so big. This podcast has helped answer questions and has caused me to question a lot.

    Audio Problems
Very good podcast, got me thinking critically about the election process. Some sound editing rendered voices at differing volumes which made listening a little tricky (turn volume up to hear one voice, turn it down to hear others).

    Fascinating
This is the most interesting political podcast I think I’ve listened to. It can be overly wonky, but for the most part each episode tells its own self-contained little story about the New Hampshire primary. If you think democracy is simple and blemish-free, do yourself a favor and listen to this.

    Great show!
Loved the show about Bill Gardner. We need to know this information. So interesting. Politics is not pretty. Thanks!!!

    Great look into the primaries
I’m not from New Hampshire so I wasn’t sure if I would get a lot out of this show, but I have found that this is a great, unique look into the election process! I love the perspective it brings!!

    Out of touch
Interesting backdrop of NH primaries. I do think this needs to change. Both Iowa and New Hampshire are two states that are not ethnically diverse at all. It is not fair that these states act as “pacesetters” for the rest of the nation. How false, arrogant, presumptuous and yes, racist. This should have changed decades ago. It is the 21st century, join the rest of the nation, other Americans matter too and deserve the same consideration.

Interesting political podcast that isn’t political
I am not from New Hampshire or New England but I actually still find this show super interesting. I like that this feels more like a story rather than any kind of debate show or round table show. I like that this is more of a history lesson.

    Such good storytelling.
Man. This a great piece of storytelling . It's like a great magazine profile of what seemed to me to be just part of the background of election year drama.

Granite Stater Feels a Little Less Important
Never wrote a review for a podcast before, but as someone who grew up in NH, the FITN primary is legendary. This podcast attacks the sacred, showing the real side of the primary. It digs into history, the truth of what people on the ground think, and legendary moments like our midnight voting up in the North Country. Give it a listen, especially if you’re wicked involved in politics like I am.

Weird hit job on the NH AG
I was excited about this podcast, but I gave up halfway through the first episode. First, the reporters were unable to secure an interview with their subject, which apparently they could have done if they were willing to wait until after the NH primary date was announced. Well, it’s been announced. It seems like bad judgment to release a hostile documentary on your subject without giving them a full opportunity to respond, and it would have been easy to do here. Also, they went on and on about how this guy wanted to prevent taking pictures of your ballot, which I happen to agree with. He has a perfectly valid argument, which is it can encourage voter intimidation if people know you’re allowed to share your ballot. You may disagree and believe it’s a 1A issue, which is also valid. But these guys laughed off voter intimidation as a ridiculous fantasy, when they must know voters HAVE been intimidated and required to show their ballots at different times in American history. Voting booths didn’t used to be private. Depending on where you lived, you could get beaten for voting for the “wrong” person. It may be a silly case — someone took a selfie voting for their dog — but they are painting this guy as a supervillain, when he seems more like a curmudgeon. It’s well-produced, so I give it two stars.

    Love this!
I love this podcast but the voice of the guy sounds like he’s asking a question sometimes or like he’s being cut off it throughs me of but overall great!

    Superb!!
Lauren Chooljian does it again. Incredible reporting. Smart and informative. Amusing and engaging. She and Jack (and the rest of the NHPR team) build a narrative around the untold stories pertaining the N.H.’s famous primary. If you care about how our electoral system works, are curious about why N.H. makes so much noise every four years, or just love great stories... this is a must listen.
