Really enjoy David’s takes and his …. 4-8-6-9. David’s takes and knowledge are really insightful and I enjoy listening to him. 1 star off for talking to “Coke-uh.” Give this person a voice if you’re going to talk to them otherwise it sounds like you’re talking to yourself.

I’m new to NPDS but not David Samson so had some sort of idea going in what to expect. Have been blown away by the variety of topics and approach by Samson, definitely a good listen! Also- the sit downs with Lebatard folks have been great!

Explains things well

He gives more details and context than other podcasts, and is great at “here’s how this works behind the scenes.” Lots of other sports commentators assume we know the ins and outs of how salary caps work, contract structures, etc. David explains that side of sports really well because of his experience as a Marlins exec.

Usually, I love the show

I really like the daily show, despite levels always being off. However, these live shows from the tour are making me cringe. They feel sort of unhinged.

Great Podcast for all sports fans!

Hey David. Thanks for always covering a variety of topics. My question is do minor league baseball teams create their schedule based on major league schedules. An example is the Atlanta Braves and Gwinnett Stripers. The AAA affiliate is about 45ish min away. Wouldn’t the minor league team benefit from scheduling home games when the Braves are away? Thanks JG2

Is it a baseball show? A sports show? A film review show? Or a political show? Depends on how the wind is blowing I guess. I really wish people would stop pushing political agendas in everything that is not politics, it’s everywhere these days. I downloaded a baseball podcast to listen to baseball related things, period.

David is extremely professional about the show but doesn’t take himself too seriously while giving more than a look behind the curtain of MLB & its inter-webbings. David’s hate of Scott Borass quickly becomes a delight, he has human mishap moments that seem to cost him $5, Half baked movie cut intros & his deep knowledge of why & how teams work or don’t work make it bleepin’ great

You have a very big blind spot if you think what the Supreme Court did will have no effect. University of Michigan only had 9% black students when they decided it was unfair and now what is it about 4%. And that was before the Supreme Court. Black people have never gotten a “fair” chance to succeed. Just because you don’t “see color “ doesn’t mean others in places of power don’t. Wait to see!!!!! Enrollment of ethnic people will drop everywhere! We’ll check back and see. Promise I will check back!

Fair enough to bash Sanders for his less than cogent take on baseballs Anti-Trust Exemption, but how about some equal time addressing the insanity of the other side. Trickle Down Economics for example, the right wings rationalization for exploitation. Rich people put their money in off-shore bank accounts, very very little trickles down, you hoard it rather than spend it. The very wealthy are destroying the infrastructure and future of the United States by not paying their fair share. They got rich off the very infrastructure they are now exploiting and destroying for profit. Thanks for the only decent take take on Freeman…. Given the situation in the world right now a rich white man sobbing about his move from Atlanta to LA is ridiculous, especially given that greed was the cause. Being an ‘Owner,’ is to be on the wrong side of history.
