First off I wrote a negative review. I am extremely sorry for it. I was going through things I’d rather not discuss and said horrible things in the review because I was being petulant. I’ve missed Bowser and Jess talking about “spooky sh/t” wink. I’ve been a fan since the early days. I have anger issues to say the least. I’d like to delete the “review”. Because it truly is a great podcast. I wish it would come back. I’m so sorry I hurt Jess or Bowser in anyway. I just hope they’re doing good.

What happened Bowzer is the show over for good?

Their old show Bizarre States was great, this one is garbage.

I used to love listening to Bizarre States, but at this point the podcast has degenerated into a privileged straight white dude wining and yelling, berating the listener about movies. Not the personality I used to enjoy and find endearing. I’m done.

Good grief. I listened to the episode on the witch Sybil Leek, and Gardnerian witchcraft, and felt embarrassed for the podcasters.They bungle their way through mispronunciations, misapprehensions of the information, and embarrassing levels of grandiosity about subjects they seem to have Googled about 30 minutes prior to the podcast. Seriously? Please do your homework if you’re going to try to talk about a subject this complex and nuanced.

I loved Bizarre States and I have no idea why it took me so long to figure out you guys had a new podcast but I finally found The Untold Hour and I have been so happy to be reunited! I have also signed up for Discovery Plus to catch Jessica’s awesome spooky travel show Exploration X. Just finished watching both seasons- it made my weekend! I have been loving catching up on everything I have missed. Just subscribed to Bowsers podcast Alter Weekly and I’m so excited to dive into that! You guys make working from home tolerable, so thank you, thank you, thank you, so much! It means a lot that you guys put out this fun stuff during this crap pandemic. <3

Loved them since Bizarre States. I really enjoyed their theme month for December; they feel like they’ve found their rhythm again. I know Jess’ filming schedule and the pandemic have contributed to the fragmented feeling. I am also glad that they gave Bowser his own horror podcast—-sorry Bowser, love you, but I just couldn’t get into a lot of the Bowser led episodes because of the horror movie talk.

I’ve listened to two episodes so far: the one featuring Ryan Sprague and the other with Sapphire Sandalo. The interview with Sprague was intriguing, informative, and filled with great probing questions that piqued my curiosity on the topic of UFOs. So I was eager to dive into another episode, this time on the topic of the Duende in Filipino culture. As a Filipino woman myself, I was excited at the prospect of learning more about a facet of my heritage that I was not familiar with. Unfortunately it was hard to even finish the episode because I found myself listening to more about Bowser’s personal history rather than allowing Sandalo to speak on her experiences and knowledge. It might be too early to compare how Bowser interviews men vs women, but there was a stark difference with how much he inserted himself and his own anecdotes and tangents into the conversation with Sandalo and how minimal that was with Sprague. At one time Sandalo actually apologized for interrupting his monologue in order to include a piece of her own relevant experience. I wonder if he realized how much he had monopolized the interview. I hope this can be taken as constructive feedback in order to help develop better interviewing skills, particularly with women, as this podcast continues.

Bigger and better than ever! I’m so glad to have Jess and Bowser back with their weirdness. Looking forward to each and every episode.

I can’t wait to listen each week. So glad to have them back and making the podcast again. I wait in anticipation every week. This is a must listen. This is my go to podcast each week after a long week of work. Five stars! It’s spooky, funny and down right intriguing. Give it a listen and I bet you won’t stop at one.

Not great. It’s fine, except that they regularly talk About things they have no knowledge on.

If you love spooky, weird, and funny stuff this is the podcast for you!! 10/10 recommend. You have to give it a listen!

I’ve been listening to the show for years, back when it was Bizarre States. I’ve loved the show for so long, it has been my main go-to for paranormal stuff. But... Lately it’s the “Horror Movie Review Podcast”. Very little to do with paranormal stuff. I get it, Bowser likes horror movies, that’s fine. But when 80% of the podcast time is about movies, that’s where I get frustrated with it. When Jess and Bowser are together the podcast is great. But then Jess disappears for months on end and Bowser just talks about horror movies most of the time. Don’t get me wrong. I like horror movies too. But lately this podcast has strayed from its intended topic. I hope this review will steer the podcast back on track.

Missing Jess on the show. She kept the show on track and without her Bowser is making it somewhat drag and go off topic.

Best paranormal podcast, by light years!🛸

I had seen that another podcast host was doing an episode on her (Shout out to Monsters Among Us Podcast) and loved the episode. I wasn’t sure about the other episodes but thought what the heck. I downloaded tue Tek Tek V Mothman and completely fell in love with this pod. The great ease of conversation they have is just so inviting and consumable. Thanks and I’m definitely about to binge your whole catalog

I’ve been listening since bizarre states and can’t get enough! The topics are always so interesting and you guys’ input just makes it so much more entertaining. Keep doing what you’re doing guys! Byyyyyyyeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Totally monopolized time with Sapphire and spoke over her a lot after he asked her a question - it was frustrating. So many tangents about his life that seemed irrelevant when I wanted to hear more about the topic at hand. I found myself forwarding through his tangents until I heard Sapphire’s voice.

First bowser couldn’t sync the intro. So they have to slow it down so they can sync. It’s always nice to start an episode with a heavy eye roll. Then the outtro- for the love of god... it’s been months and we still screw that up. This all sounds small but it’s the attitude. Bowser just doesn’t care. It’s all horror and cats- not bizarre topics. Ditch bowser and get someone who wants to be there.

Jess and Bowser were great since episode 1 of bizarre states and they are still fantastic now! So glad they are back at it again.

It’s great having these people talk spookiness and weird happenings in my life again. It’s great listening to two friends talk, the subjects of episodes are always wildly fascinating, and there are plenty of laughs. It’s my favorite weekly listen.

In a time of over podcast over saturation this show stands out. Big fan of their previous pod bizarre states. And still a fan of Jess and bouz excellent listen. Keep up the great episodes byyyeeee!!!

Unfortunately, I found Bizarre States a little late and was super sad when it got canceled. I binged all the episodes while I waited for the gang to come back and it worked!! Love that I found people who are also sluts for all things spooky. (Jess is my favorite)

Huge fan of Chobot and Bowser and all their supporting cast and crew. This podcast may not be the place for overly deep dives into the unknown, but definitely the place to get introduced to some weird topics, news, and some great listener stories. Chobot and Bowser are the perfect buds to make an hour feel like a chill hang—sort of like going to a friend’s house to do homework but mostly enjoying each other’s company. (And I love that.)

Jess and Bowser are a couple of my favorites. I listened to them when they were on Nerdist and stopped at some point for whatever reason. A few months ago I got the hankering to go back listen, but they were gone! Smash cut to 2020 quarantine. I’m listening to The Boogie Monster and there’s a commercial for The Untold Hour... wait did she just say Chobot? I actually skipped back and re-listened to the whole commercial. Then I listened to the show. It’s great. Glad they’re back.

Bowser and Jess are an outstanding duo that are consistently entertaining and fun. Great wether you are new to them or have been a fan from the Bizarre States days. Topics range from tales of the cats and wild animals in Bowser’s backyard to haunted houses and spiritualism. Surprisingly, there is less talk of poop now then there used to be but these hosts are beginning to find their stride again after a brief hiatus from podcasting. Highly recommend.

Jessica and Bowser make this one of the best podcast out , the story’s here range from feral cats trying to sneak inside to driving in the country and seeing a ufo flying past you . Always my go to podcast .

This show is awesome and very relatable. Jessica and Andrew have good chemistry and crack me the hell up and are a great team.

Found Jessica Chobot on Expedition X and have really enjoyed all her content. This pod is exactly level-headed enough to enjoy it! Although Bowser looks nothing like his voice.
