mjsrafaelExcellent, thorough coverageHardwood Knocks brings the right mixture of numbers, eye test, and personality, striking the rare balance between entertaining and informative. The season preview pods (one per team) are especially deep and excellent listening!

Klick HopperSickos unite!Dan and Grant are some of my favorites. Their knowledge is wide ranging and true sicko stuff. They’re funny and unbiased in their equal coverage of all 30 teams, which is refreshing as a fan of a currently bad small market team that is often overlooked and dismissed by other national shows.
-
bridgesellerLove the podcastI listen to every episode. Your Rockets guy comes off as extremely arrogant though.
-
BlazersAxeConsistent and ThoroughI’m really enjoying the team previews. Dan really shows great respect to his guests and allows them to show what they know, unlike some other pod-hogs out there. He’s very dedicated and puts the work in.
-
parmeetcVery fun and informativeLove the chemistry between Dan and grant and enjoy them being so smart about how they think about the game and league while not being so smug about it like a lot of other shows I’ve heard. Big fan, love this show
-
Matto444A very fun and informative podcastMy favorite part is how careful and level-headed their takes are. They are not afraid to admit when they were wrong, and do a good job at covering all teams around the league. Definitely recommend a listen. My favorite ones are the pre-season predictions and the “We Were Wrong, and We’re Sorry”
-
E.R.L.Great podcast!!Probably the most consistent podcast I listen to, and one of the most fun and informative basketball podcasts out there
-
BR_ATXFun, insight podcast for NBA junkiesDan is a great host and wildly knowledgeable about the modern NBA. Grant brings a nuanced perspective and quick wit. Despite struggling with the alphabet from time to time, these boys bring smart, reasoned takes each and every episode.
-
RitmonegroHardwood KnocksA great combination of eye test and analytics in the context of the modern NBA. Dan and Grant deserve kudos for this quality podcast.

LA Pistons fanHKVery informative, very smart.

Kingsfab123409865Hey, at least it’s better than The RingerNot the greatest show ever, basically two bloggers talking which is pretty common and useless in nba podcasts. The warriors fan (grant) is an absolute homer and is kind of insufferable, but he’s only on half the episodes thankfully. The other guy is pretty solid, sometimes says plainly stupid stuff but most of the time he kinda knows what he’s talking about. Overall you might have a better time talking ball with your friends, and the show is kind of a waste of time, but hey, at least it’s better than The Ringer.
-
Buchecha24Best National PodIf you have a favorite team but also are a huge NBA fan as a whole, then this is the pod for you
-
NikolasKiteLikely the worst sports podcastGrant Hughes has glaring biases, and is probably the biggest joke “journalists” among sports podcasts. Not worth your time.
-
Justinxc07Terrible takes from Bleacher Report reportersThey assume rumors are true and assume they are fact in their discussions. For example talking about how atlanta should trade Trae Young and talking about trade options when atlanta has zero intention on trading him. Do better BR. Do some actual journalism and stop relying on clickbait headlines for your sources
-
Podcast_AddictedGreat PodcastOne of my favorite basketball and overall podcasts.
-
lazknickfanBrutalThese guys know nothing about hoops and they ignore their own analytics.
-
Dwayne Schintius's MulletSolidBest intro music in the pod game, very pleasant. These guys are hard workers and informed. They do their homework and don’t use fluff while talking out of their ARS. (Crossover, KOC, Wos, Sedano, and too many more to list). Keep up the good work and the genuine grind, it’s refreshing and appreciated.
-
MattModdernoGreat pod!Dan does an awesome job! Super informative and fun!
-
KT16VLove it!To keep it simple- I really enjoy this podcast. My only request would be that the host slows down a little bit. I tend to do the same when talking about sports because I’m excited but sometimes it’s hard to follow along when they start throwing around contract numbers or analytics.
-
FinnReviewCerebral, analytical, fun and overall greatGot back into the NBA several years ago after a decades long break and wanted to be better informed via deeper analysis and this was the one that seemed most promising. It consistently delivers entertaining analysis with a variety of guests on a ton of topics. I particularly enjoy recent female guest perspectives and Dan’s clearly progressive sensibilities. Keep em coming and go Pacers in the east and go Warriors in the West!
-
sirbashyGreat Show and Getting BetterLove the detail the guys bring to every podcast. Super excited for them to bring more WNBA content in as well. That league is already incredible, just needs more exposure and people talking/watching it.
-
HolabakatchaOne of my favoritesDan and Adam do such a great job of covering the entire league. They know their stuff and but a tremendous amount of effort into covering the league.
-
Luan24678Stick to basketballSpend 30 minutes talking about COVID. This is not why I listen to sports podcast. Stick to basketball
-
awo345Best nba pod. No jokeThese guys know the nba and don’t play games with your time. It talks about the entire league in a fair and objective way. If you love basketball, you’ll dig the pod
-
ColJJGodAll You NeedGreat variety of news, analysis, guests, hypotheticals, rankings, and other content. Very informed hosts that go deep on all 30 teams year-round! Thanks for the exceptional work! Really appreciate how much you put into it so we can enjoy it! One note: can we get the intro length down a bit? December 23 2021 episode had a 6 minute intro, it’s a bit much. Absolutely love the show.
-
Brandon VickersMy favorite podThe pelicans takes make me sad (but generally so do the pelicans themselves), anyway, this is still my favorite NBA podcast. Unbiased and it feels like a genuine attempt to just discuss the league at large. Love it

ChrshllSwellUnique programming relative to other podcasts
-
mslowsSmart dudesA good listen.
-
Fry hdhdhMRothFull of information and incite into every team in the NBA. a great podcast for NBA junkies.
-
tony12344444One of the best hoops podcastsHigh-level, intelligent NBA analysis that combines analytics and watching/scouting. Strikes the right tone of comfortable/relaxed/good sense of humor, without being goofy or gimmicky.
-
BenS2313Suns podcame because timeline pod, enjoyed the other parts too.
-
Brxtn1Awesome Podcast!Super informative and interesting!
-
Ti WindischBEST in depth NBA coverage out thereThere is no NBA podcast that dives as deep on EVERY NBA team as Hardwood Knocks — their lookahead series has been invaluable in getting ready for the NBA season and it’s so nice to hear from informed, entertaining voices basically every day.
-
HaqksanwrsvGreat podNot many pods break down each team and get guests who know their stuff. Bucks In 6.
-
Connor.DownsGreat podI love the detail these guys get into, but I also love the chemistry. Good show that delivers basketball news and analysis without big market bias.
-
Zach WillaAlmost perfectI enjoy the chatter between the hosts, I just feel like they play it too safe with their sports takes. Not all of them, but I think sometimes they tend to go with the majority rules. Other than that, great energy, great content, and very well informed.
-
austinwoods97Fun podBoth Adam and Dan have a genuine love and passion for the NBA that you can hear in their voices. Excellent coverage of the entire league.
-
Jebes17I feel badI listen a lot and I have not written a review. The last couple times you asked sounded pretty desperate so this will alleviate my guilt. Great work. Super in depth. Havent found anything with as much attention to the league as a whole as this.
-
TcbbiggsUniqueI appreciate independent podcasts where the hosts clearly think for themselves and don't just repeat ESPN headlines. Their enthusiasm for basketball comes through which isn't always the case for people who have been doing this for a while. I look forward to new episodes--even the MEGA Pod marathon episodes!
-
abaile11Great PodcastTwo analysts who know the NBA as well as anyone.
-
Bacob JourneBest part of 2020was when Adam replaced Andy. Five stars.
-
harridans manOne of my go to podcastsThese guys really know their stuff about every team, they’re entertaining, and I’m a sucker for Frank Ntilikina jokes.
-
Nickddie CebajonesMuch better since MoThe main host, I forget his name, but sadly, he’s a Knicks fan. It never comes up though, and you can sense his passion and joy for the game, plus is knowledgeable and nerdy enough to fill any basketball junkie’s playlist. The show has gotten even better since Mo Dakhill (sic) and some rando Jazz fan (Andy something or another? Likes to pick fights with Laker fans?) have departed. They were just too biased with their previous team connections and self-entitlement, while the main host and his new recurring co-host just talk hoops. The guests are also great, with the Blazers and Pacers female experts providing a breath of fresh air. This is an underrated basketball podcast, the host isn’t full of himself like Sam Vecenie on Game Theory or some of the Athletic hosts, and he has a couple good doggos. Give it a listen.
-
Thomas RendeNBA NecessityDan and Adam (along with the many other guests) always give tremendous insight into the NBA world. Would highly recommend the series that they’ve been doing on top-10 players for each franchise over the past decade. Can’t speak highly enough about the podcast!
-
Quincy Pondexterchemistry matters! While heavily relying on statistics, this nba pod isn't dry or boring, the hosts have good chemistry and it's an enjoyable listen
-
tiredgrlKyrieHe’s a pseudo intellectual that thinks he knows more than everyone else.
-
TKinger021In-Depth NBA talkThis is my go to for in-depth NBA talk. Sometimes a tad unpolished but these guys live and breathe the NBA and it comes through on the pod.
-
ARWaljeThoughtful PodcastSometimes they lose me in the minutia of trades and salary caps; however, they provide the most thoughtful NBA analyses by media.
-
InzanesensationOne good one badDan Favale knows what he’s talking about but the other guy, Andy, will argue some of the dumbest points in order to try to get some sort of a shock factor. He’ll tell you Domantas Sabonis is better than Pascal Siakam and Bradley Beal isn’t an All Star in the east. Stupid point each podcast that make you wonder why you’re even listening to him since he clearly doesn’t know any more than most listeners.
