12345 timerLove!Excited for the new direction Kris is taking the podcast about deep exploration and more linear approach to the podcast focused on adding to the climbing community in an organized fashion. Thanks Kris!

3rt7899877GoldOne of the best climbing podcast around! Hands down. An absolute “GYM”;)
-
JT123@@Only loosely about climbing and training anymoreThis started as a good podcast for those focused on improving as a rock climber. Over the last year it has devolved into a waste of time where at least half of the episodes have absolutely no relevance to improving at climbing. I am not sure why I would want to listen to unaccomplished climbers talk about unrelated topics.
-
cgearyyBest tactics advice out thereRefreshing to have a podcast to listen to that stresses the importance of tactics and things that can improve your climbing outside of training to get stronger.
-
Wyo studentGreat training podcast w/extensive catalogThis isA great train podcast that has been around for several years now. Going through the past episodes and picking out those that will help you address your weaknesses, both mentally and physically, is very helpful for keeping your training beneficial and engaging. Thanks Kris and Nate
-
Buddy AdamGreat informationGood info but Kris can be a little condescending at times and a four part series about home wall questions screams privilege

ann000_0Devin Dabney episode >> profound insightThe Devin Dabney interview is another beautiful opportunity to bust out of the crusty one-size-fits-all story of climbing. Got tremendous insight from the honest discussion of what it feels like when you've carved out a (precarious) spot for yourself as an Other in a space dominated by those in a higher social class. Womens' experience of this dynamic is commonly seen as the trope of the queen bee who jealously guards her masters'-favorite-dog high perch against other women. Dabney's description brought depth and nuance to this phenomena I hadn't considered. Thank you!
-
Char862A fair training podcastGood advice but often comes off with a condescending tone

Law QDevin Dabney, make a podcast!Power Company Climbing is an awesome resource for climbers. Thanks Kris for keeping at it and being generous with your time and wisdom! The most recent episode, an interview with Devin Dabney, was one of my favorites. As a mixed race climber, I could relate to many topics and was totally engrossed in the conversation. Devin, please make a podcast and let us know when it is available! I promise you will have an audience! Peace, Lawrence

Chef ejlLove love love this podcast!!!I listen to Kris and the Power Company podcast almost every day. Kris has his finger in the dial when it comes to climbing. He also is a great talker. Definitely one of my fav podcast ever.

brandog9000Gold Mine of InformationThis podcast is invaluable to the committed climber. Every episode is a gold mine of tips and best practices.
-
CJF338Stop calling us girlsLove this podcast and all of the substantive interviews, I just wish they’d refer to female climbers as women and not girls. It’s demeaning. No one on here is referring to male climbers as boys...
-
Mj444Best climbing podcast in the 2020Lots of free time now with Covid19... I've listened to them all lately and the title is nuff said.
-
AM Radio was an Art FormBEST Climbing PodcastThis podcast is easily the most eloquent and thought provoking of the climbing podcasts - I always take something away from EVERY episode to apply to my warmups, training, projects, and even my mental game. If you’re going to listen to one climbing podcast this is it!
-
ludlow9023Awesome!Great podcast! Some feedback- try to avoid interrupting the interviewees :)

Ryley RushCrazy good.Power Company is the best of both worlds — they give incredibly practical advice on training & getting stronger (seriously, the kind of info you would have to pay for in a lot of other places) & just have really great conversations that give you warm climbing-community fuzzies. Favorite podcast for sure, if you climb & don’t subscribe... wyd?

Donovan AKA Gnarbra WaltersBest Climbing Podcast. PERIOD!!The episodes are diverse, and the information is priceless. Long time listener and Patreon subscriber. Kris is also very communicative via email. Grateful that this content exists. Like. Share. Support. 🔥💯❤️

zz stopsInteresting advice on a wide array of climbing and training aspectsLove this podcast and I listen to a lot of them because I drive for a living. Mostly geeking out on minutiae, which might not be for everyone but I love it! PLEASE DO MORE EPISODES ON SPRAY WALLS!!!

Travis in PDXMy favorite climbing podcastGreat info on how to get better at climbing. Useful discussion on a variety of topics, and great guests. My favorite training climbing podcast by far.
-
jarrod1236Red River Climber/ High-rise Window CleanerI love the podcast. I do high rise window cleaning in Lexington Ky, so it only took about two month of daily listening to get through your whole set. I love the relatability ( Nate with window cleaning, kris with skateboarding.... and then the whole RRG trad climbing start).
-
rbsc23Best climbing podcastThe best one there is, hands down. Not exaggerating when I say it’s made me a better climber.
-
LenChar6689New Tension episodeThis episode needs to be called Puddin’ Tips.
-
kylemfspurgeonKeepin’ it realA never ending flow off useful information related to climbing and training in general, but the host always manages to keep it relatable and down to earth.

MhamTScared of science? This podcast has it moments. Great production & consistency. The downsides are Kris’s abrasive nature. His constant bashing of science is unfortunate. If he is weak in a topic he tends to resist actually trying to be comfortable in it & will take a dogmatic stance instead. Some topics can be quite polarizing but I continue to listen as it is the best podcast out on the topic. Nate seems to balance Kris out some & their discussions are interesting. Paul brings some good information as well with a more educated/scientific approach. There have been many good guests including Dan John & Ravioli.
-
spmaguireAmazing podcastVery interesting and thought provoking for climbs of all strengths

John K in COBest in ClassIf you're looking for a podcast you will learn something from to apply to your climbing in every episode, this is it. The high value here comes from experience of hosts, and willingness to make distinctions and assertions. It's highly entertaining as well. Kris and co-hosts are exceptionally skilled and mindful when it comes to interviews and putting concepts into a framework. The show stands apart from the rest where it's clear the intention is always - "how does this make our climbing better?"
-
JennderThank youHey! I started listening to your podcast about a month ago, and I've learned SO MUCH. I've been climbing for about 3 years, but I'm 40, so finding coaching or folks my age to climb with who are as into it as I am and from whom I can learn can be challenging. Hey, man, us olds are busy! I appreciate the advice and insight you give on your show, and it has been instrumental in increasing my sends on hard boulders I previously thought out of my league. The parts that stick with me the most: -Train where you are, not where you want to be. -Effort is likely the biggest factor in holding me back or in success. -Gym grades mean nothing, climb what looks fun and will build skills - check ego at the door. Thank you so much.

Cancel submit review submitGood stuffBeen listening to Kris’s podcast for a while now and as a new climber there’s info you can get in every single podcast he puts out that will help me for my years to come.

Gs handChanged my climbingListening to these podcasts completely changed the way I viewed climbing training. They helped me stay psyched during injuries, guided me as when to train what aspect, helped my mental game, and greatly contributed to me climbing my first V10. Definitely check them out!
-
BLatvalGreat Climbing PodcastThis is a great climbing podcast that covers a wide range of subjects. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
-
CJ KeatingGood listeningGreat interviews with some great people in the climbing community. Thanks for the info that comes from so many different sources. Keep it coming
-
Cap'n PeteSmooth as buttahKris does a great job talking about complex training issues in both an interesting and easy to understand format. I've been listening back to the entire collection and have a notebook full of insightful tips and notes to help take my traiing to the next level. I'm looking at getting a training plan from them this summer after I finish up my move to Ohio. It's time to build!

McGlynnWithABeardSomething for Everyone!Great content and lots of variety and breadth. Obviously each person is going to find different things from different episodes more or less helpful than others, but I think everyone can find enough gems to make it worth the listen.
-
LSab16Love it!!Awesome content and delivery. I appreciate the balance of trainers, athletes, setters, and perspectives from outside of the climbing world. Kris asks thoughtful questions and inspires the audience to keep learning :)
-
AtadbitjapaneseGreat podcastGives a glimpse of what's going on in other parts of the climbing community. Great content and ideas about continued growth and mindset.
-
J. InsFantastic! There is something to be learned in every episode! Great range of topics covered, great guests and great information!
-
nabarkerStarted listening for one specific one and kept on listeningI was told to listen to Climbing injury free with Dr. Vagey and just kept on listening. I have gone back and started listening to all the episodes from the beginning and have learned so much. I am constantly thinking about my own climbing and how I can apply what I’m learning both outside and at the gym. Thanks Kris and team, can’t wait to keep growing my skill set.
-
Kyle "The Sniff"So much fun! This is the first podcast I really ever got into. Kris brings a lot of energy to the mic and isn’t even close to being monotone like many other podcasts :) also a HUGE thing is the voice/microphone clarity is very impressive, it makes it very easy to listen to and the volume levels are excellent. Definitely my favorite podcast out still.
-
7Eldiablo1977InvaluableAmazing content and Kris is really easy to listen to. So much to learn and hear what works and what doesn’t from those who have walked the path.

3242342343244234234324Best training podcasts out thereThanks for providing such great content and such relevant guests! I love your podcasts! Btw: you’re actually a very good interviewer as well, something very much lacking in climbing. Rob

bshanks6More Than Just a Training PodcastThis podcast contains tons of great information about all things climbing. I will say that I think the most powerful thing about this podcast is the focus on the climbing community and how it makes my climbing role models more real and relatable. Growing up around the Red/South Eastern Bouldering and seeing Kris climb was always inspiring, but I always felt really intimidated by stronger climbers because I felt like it was tough to fit in with the community. This podcast definitely changed that for me by showing that even my role models feel similar struggles as I do, which helps me figure out how to push through them and grow as a climber. Thanks PCC!
-
rtkaratekidIn a rutCurrently the best training for climbing podcast out there. I actually liked the starting episodes more, but as the podcast continues it seems to turn either into repeated sentiments about training that those not new to climbing have heard over and over, or it has turned into episodes where Kris tries to explore the inner workings of people and their struggles with climbing. The podcast seems to be better suited to the beginner or maybe intermediate climber. I think it needs more new, non Kris-centric thinking on training, maybe even ideas he doesn’t agree with, in order for the podcast to be fleshed out and not sound like a broken record.

DonnyxChuchoMy new fav!I started out listening to the Training Beta podcast (which is good) and have since switched over to The Power Company (which is great). What sold me was the Board Meeting episodes. At first I didn’t know what they were so I skipped over them and jumped straight into the Steve Bechtel episodes. I do not remember the first board meeting episode I listened to, but Kris and Nate’s back and forth banter is both informative and funny. In particular, the “When to say take!” and “”Redpoint tactics” Episodes were game changing for me. After those episode I no longer think of a hard climb I am working on as “going into the great unknown” going bottom to top. They talked about going bolt to bolt and ways of working a project so now I think of it as only “going into the unknown section”. Basically they talk about going section by section learning the clipping stances, rest stances, lowering down and dialing in sections etc which had never even occurred to me. Another thing I like is that Nate, much like Steve Bechtel, always has some common sense tips, tricks or ideas in every episode that make me go “that’s makes SOOOOOO much sense”. Long story short, listen to this podcast!
-
TrappedGymRatSo Good.I love the interviews with the special guests, but I absolutly love the board meetings. Nate and Kris do an awesome job of not only keeping eachother in balance in their opinions but also being freaking hilarious and down to earth about the nuances of climbing and the climbing community. I love that they stay stoked and respect the stoke of others. and man do they inspire me to get outside of the gym.
-
Donquixote17Good, not greatThere are some really great episodes that cover really interesting topics. Kris is really good about digging into details about his guests' expertise. I have learned a lot from this podcast about mental training, nutrition, training and more. Krist can ramble though and interject his thoughts too much. The podcast feels like it often assumes that the reason we climb is to climb hard. While that is certainly an important aspect, it is far from everything about climbing so it makes it hard to relate sometimes.
-
Ian_PDXSolid info. Solid delivery. Thanks for your hard work!Great blend of swagger and humility. Clear emphasis on community is gold. Humor and precise knowledge without pedantic obscurity: love it. Thanks guys! Way to go! (My 13 year old daughter just listened back to back several episodes on the way back from Bishop. Rad to catch her attention and have her psyched too.)
-
Does workExcellentIn my opinion, it's like the enormocast and training beta rolled into one. I just stumbled onto it a month ago and have listened o about 20 in full. Addicted. Love how often they upload compared to other podcasts.
