Used to love the podcast but it feels like so much of it is about books, floating, music and just rambling about stuff these days.

Nothing better to listen to after a national championship

I’ve been a listener for several years. I just unsubscribed due to the length of each podcast. I do not have an hour and a half to listen to someone talk. I am in my car several hours for work and can’t/won’t commit to that time frame. I may be the only one that feels that way but wanted you to know why I have unsubscribed.

Wonderful, most informative MSU podcast out there! Really enjoy the slices of wisdom and reflections on life as well. One request, or maybe it's a question, wouldn't it be more apt to address the coaches as Coach (Lemonis, Leach, etc.). It's one thing if one is out to eat or have a few ginger ales with said coach, but in the context of a sports podcast, Coach Lemonis/Leach/etc. sounds more respectful of the position. After all, one wouldn't go to University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston and address the trauma surgeon as "Red." Hail naw - that's Dr. Red Duke.

To all the bad reviews out there, I think I speak for Steve. THERE ARE OTHER PODCASTS OUT THERE!! No one cares how you feel about this one!!! If you don’t like it, no need to review, just choose another one.

Always can count on Steve to give it to you straight.

I rejoined, but just can’t enjoy the frequent, preachy lectures to the fan base, i hope his book sells, podcast always has a negative, tribal connotation that’s just a turnoff, I’m out

Steve is a great source of insider information on all things Mississippi State, I’ve listened to this podcast for years now. However, he’s recently started a segment where he goes through his music related top tens halfway through the podcast which is a little annoying when you want to hear about the bulldogs. Maybe there’s an audience for that, but it’s not me. Other than that 5 star content.

In an hour show you can look forward to 10-15 minutes of actual sports talk. The rest is him lecturing you about how to live your life and classic rock reviews. It might not be that bad if it wasn’t the same message every show. Just skip to minute 35 or so and save yourself some time if you’re looking for sports information because the majority of the show is a monotonous filler.

I know you’ve got to pay your bills, but as a female listener of your show, if I have to listen to another advertisement about manscaping then I’m out. It makes me absurdly uncomfortable and not even remotely what I’m expecting to hear when I listen to a State sports podcast. Update: almost a year later and manscaping is not only back but we are now talking about “ball trimmers”, “balls”, and “junk”. Not all of your listeners are male, Steve.

Informative from an insider perspective, and I love the emphasis on local patronage. Keep up the great work Steve.

Steve is completely obsessed with Ole Miss. He is only out to sell books. Mostly Fake news! Sometimes makes me Laugh!

This is easily the best podcast that’s ever been done for Mississippi State athletics. Steve is both exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about MSU sports.

5-10 minutes of advertisements throughout. 5-10 of decent Mississippi state football talk. 30 minutes of Steve lecturing the fan base on his latest opinion in something barely related to actual football. 3-5 minutes of ole miss/dan Mullen jabs that usually aren’t clever or funny Once every few weeks you’ll get a show with 5 minutes of really good recruiting info.

This podcast is now a lecture on how you should think and act as a State fan. Your podcast WAS good.

The Boneyard is the best “insider” podcast for MSU. Steve knows recruiting better than anyone. He also knows the pulse of our fan base and what we need to know!

If you are a Bulldawg, Steve’s podcast is exactly what you need to be in the know about everything MSU. While he is unapologetically true Maroon, he will not pump you with BS. He tells the good and the bad, no rose colored glasses. If you want the real scoop and the truth behind the rumors, BSR (that stands for Beautiful Steve Robertson) is what you’ve been looking for.
