    Great show!
I really appreciate the points Tom & Jason bring up as they discuss the modules. They have turned me on to some great stuff! Something Stinks in Stilton Ultraviolet Grasslands Wizardium of Calabraxis The Between Keep up the good work gents!

Beyond a RPG module review podcast.
Love this show. I have listened through most episodes three times. Why? I learn something almost every time, even re listening. I have also purchased a fair number of modules featured on the show and have not been disappointed. Both Tom and Jason provide great insights on the module content, as well as pointers for module design and role playing skills and techniques. And unlike many rpg shows, their back and forth banter is entertaining. Five stars. I can also recommend other shows Jason Cordova hosts.

    Hits on all levels
I could, and have, listened to this podcast for days. I really enjoy the flow of the conversation between Jason and Tom - such a pleasure to listen to two well spoken, knowledgeable and witty folks with great rapport. I don’t usually bend towards OSR modules, but this podcast has convinced me to buy and play a few. But what’s more, it’s made me a better GM thanks to the Expert Delve section. I’m also often excited to discover new movies and synthwave bangers. You can’t go wrong with this podcast.

    Always a Fascinating Conversation
The hosts are knowledgeable, the conversation is brisk and lively, and the tone is NPR-meets-D&D—it’s not about in-jokes and riffs but about informative and clear discussion of the module in question AND the broader insights into gameplay that can be gleaned from it. Highly recommended for gamers of all stripes.

    Tomb of the Serpent King
This episode has a great explanation of the C.A.T.S. system of setting tone and expectations at the table. I am also planning to download this module it sounds like a blast to run even for experienced groups.

Low-key breakdown of modules and concepts
While it seems to primarily revolve around lesser-known modules, especially older and/or OSR-style ones, the insight the hosts provide in not only reviewing the subject matter, but providing recomendations on how to fit them into your campaign. Wish it came out weekly :)

    Unique, Engaging and Inspiring
Every episode Jason and Top take a deep dive into an interesting OSR module. The podcast itself covers much detail about the target module, including tips about how to run it and some great companion material to really get into the appropriate headspace for the subject matter. The best part of the podcast is really the hosts' choice of subject matter: the modules themselves. Each episode will showcase a single module, and every module won't be for everybody, but every module will certainly be interesting, and the resulting discussion will spark great ideas for your own games.

    Fun, low-key, erudite RPG blog
Just discovered this blog and I’m starting from the beginning. Four episodes in and it’s uniformly excellent so far. As a side note, I would totally buy a ‘Straight Outta Hommlet’ T-shirt!

Great way to keep up with gaming both old and new
Thanks guys for not only a great trip down memory lane on classic D&D dungeon crawls but on some new things I haven’t heard of yet!

Soothing voices and the info that I need
I just stumbled upon this podcast and because of them I’ve already bought three of the OSR modules they’ve reviewed. Can’t wait to run them and put their ideas to use.

    Great hosts
Really enjoy their take on things. Especially the extra bits like related adventures. Music and novels that provide inspiration or supplement the module they are reviewing. I listen to a lot of RPG related podcasts and this is one of my favorites!

    Not Your Father's OSR Podcast
FoaBD is unlike any other OSR podcast I've heard. Each episode, Jason and Tom go deep into an OSR adventure. They've change the way I approach OSR materials, and I now get so much more out them. It's inspiring. This is the podcast I play first whenever ther is a new episode available.

One of the Best OSR Products
These guys really do know their stuff and do a great job on reviewing OSR modules, discussing how to GM with them, and exploring possibilities for running them with non-OSR systems.

    FANTASTIC
Jason and Tom do a superb job dissecting and re-contextualizing classic OSR modules for the modern narrative-based TTRPG dungeon master. The episodes are quick, well structured, and highly informative. If you have an interest in TTRPG I highly recommend giving this and any other podcasts in The Gauntlet family of podcasts a listen. Z

My tabletop gaming experience pretty much starts and ends with poker. But for whatever reason, this podcast makes me feel calm, happy, and interested in old-school D&D-style rpg games. Thank you for expanding my horizons and increasing my quality of life with this excellent podcast!

    Great for the GM!
Lots of spoilers for players, but excellent for GM's who want to get a lot out of adventures. Awesome job and very inspiring.

It will convince you to buy OSR modules if you haven't already
I'm a huge fan of various indie RPGs, but have stayed away from modules for a long time. Listening to Fear of a Black Dragon has convinced me that I'm missing out on a huge wealth of opportunity. Even though OSR and trad RPG systems aren't so much my jam, it turns out that I can totally take advantage of OSR modules even in my favored indie systems like Dungeon World. Huzzah!

    Off to a great start
Another A+ addition to the Gauntlet family of podcasts! These guys are doing a great job of bringing the OSR flavor of tabletop gaming in a system free way so that you can take the info they cover and apply it to anything. An informative and entertaining show and I'm looking forward to each new episode!

    Delving OSR Materials
This was a really cool way to explore the subject. The segments are set up to ensure a thorough dive into the material. Listeners will get sucked in and inspired by the enthusiasm and wide view offered by the hosts.
