    Since 1983
Started listen on KPBS at San Diego State. The stow was and still is the highlight of my listen day. Visiting the McDonald Observatory is on my bucket list.

    Great for years
Originally listened to this on Am radio in late 90’s and early 2000’s and then transitioned to podcasts. A continual gift of education to all. Great science info.

As Short as it is Fun
Love how it quickly and calmly touches on what overhead now. And at times explores deep insights. But never monopolizes my time.

Billy and gang: The show views outward from our "rock" are very educational. Thanks! The shows views and thoughts on our management of our "rock," earth are solid. Thank you and please proceed! Cheers, Tim G. Smith

    Best wishes Sandy Wood
I have enjoyed listening to the show since long before the days of pods. Your top-notch narration has always been part of that. While I am sure the excellent content will continue, You will be missed. Good luck with your health!

    Black Holes
This podcast was like listening to a 1930’s serial drama on the radio. In the 100 years since General and special relativity were released, Hilbert, Hawking and Penrose made a mess of Black Hole theory, rendering it unrecognizable to Einstein himself. So vacuous are present-day theories that scientists conjured three different models of Big Bang Theory, and 5 different models of black holes...none of which can exist within the same universe....but this podcast overlooks these important details with an anemic display of ‘1930’s serial’ mixed with “Alice in Wonderland” How much did EHT pay you to produce this podcast? It is as scientific as finding unicorns. 99.9999% of our Universe is Plasma, the 1st State of matter followed by Gas, liquid and solid. If this is new-news, then this explains why this podcast is flaccid at best. Plasma Universe theory was a Nobel Prize winning feat of Hannes Alfvén in 1970; his cosmology and ensuing Electric Sun precisely describe the reality of our observable universe....not hurling black hole theories onto celestial orbs which are billions of light years away. You do an injustice o our children by completely overlooking the 1st state of matter.

    15 sec?
it seems as though the last few shows are only 15 second sound bites informing us that we can’t hear the show for free.

Great podcast but would longer form be possible?
I love this as a resource, but I could imagine an amazing version that is more like 6-10 minutes, maybe weekly? I would think there would be lots of astronomers and physicists willing to do quick phone interviews.

    Great!
I've been listening since college days, too (Block & Byrd). University of Texas at Austin is doing great work with this type of outreach and educational service.
