    Incredibly Helpful
I'm a new HS band director and I'm only 3 episodes in but every episode has helped me so much, especially the intonation one. Intonation is something I really struggle with and this episode provided so much valuable information. I like that you give specific ideas and tips rather than vague overarching ideas. Right now I'm in survival mode and I need specific tips, so this is perfect.

Great for new directors and new head directors!
Program Notes has been an invaluable source of guidance. I’ve recently been given the opportunity to be a head director in a high school, and so much of what has been covered in his podcasts have been applied or have helped us navigate some hairy situations. I can soundly say our kids are growing, they are happy, the parents and administration are impressed, and much of this is thanks to podcasts such as these. Whether you are a new teacher or a teacher advanced in your career, this podcast is a must.

Great information, regardless of teaching experience!
After just 8 episodes I am very impressed with Dr. Denis and the information presented in these podcasts. While some of the ideas discussed have become apparent to me over the course of my career, the concepts presented would have been super-valuable to me in the beginning. Also, it doesn't hurt to get refreshers and to hear the same concepts talked about in different ways.

Lots of straightforward band-talk. Love it. I’m really enjoyed the episodes on literature selection and intonation! I appreciate the 30 minute time frame too!
