    Umm
Used to be good but by this point my eyes will get stuck mid-roll from all the times they say the word like and the comments on everything. Dial it back and wayy left-leaning too. Edit: Its not ashley, its brit. Brit you are ruining this podcast!

    Strange host reactions
I am not sure why the second host is always laughing and giggling, especially during Lacy Peterson episodes. It is a constant giggle to some quite somber comments of the first host- I am not sure whether it is nervous reaction or there is something that funny about details of the case. Made me feel very strange.

The industry standard for research and resources
Ashley and Brit are: giving us compelling narratives, sending reporters to interview people about the stories that they cover; and funding testing in cases that cross their paths. Literally no one else is doing all three of these things. Have whatever issue you have, but Ashley and Brit are walking the walk. Proud to listen and support.

    ❤️❤️❤️
I've been a true crime junkie forever, just didn't realize there was a term until I discovered your podcast. I love everything about your podcast! First, I love that you are besties and present each episode as the two of you are just chatting over coffee. I love how passionate you both are about getting these stories out to the world for justice, for some resolution and answers for the families affected. And lastly I enjoy the pruppets stories, having two myself, those stories always touch my heart. 🩷 Thank you for all you do and please don't stop! 🙏

    Not a fan
When I finished my original true crime podcast, a friend recommended Crime Junkie. Of course I’ve heard of it-very popular to listen to-so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, I could not make it past the first episode. Usually I am more open minded, but the information did not seem first hand and to me the show was very gossip-like. Neither of the hosts seem to have any real experience in crimes like these, so I tuned out.
  • Sooo wonderful. It’s amazing
    🥳 I can’t wait for every episode!!!!!
I absolutely love this podcast. It is a great podcast, Brit I love the commentary and how you and Ashly work together. It makes the podcast 10 times better!!!!! I constantly check to see if there is new episodes!

    It’s a problem, in a good way
Totally addicted to their amazing team work and the dignity they give the victims. I love how it doesn’t matter what gender, ethnicity or economic status, they believe everyone deserves justice.

    Love the podcast
Honestly, I like to take survival tips from the survivors from hearing their story. You guys should write about Elizabeth Fritzl

    Woke
They were so good in the beginning but now everything is just woke woke woke. Do not waste your time. Tons of other podcast out there.

    Like, no more!
I’m no longer going to ignore the number of times “like” is used unnecessarily. That bad habit is the new fingernails on a chalkboard. I’m tuning out; not even going to give the show a chance.

    Too liberal
I’ve listened to this podcast since 2018 and I’ve LOVED it. I’ve always recommended it when people ask for true crime podcasts. But lately it’s soooo hard to listen to. Super liberal, super woke. I can’t listen to it anymore. Literally roll my eyes at so much from this podcast. Maybe lighten up on the liberal/woke views?

    So good
I was looking through the reviews and saw a surprising number of negative ones. I personally love the background music, it adds such a sense of suspense and mystery but I don’t think it would hurt to turn it down a few notches. Brit, stop with the obvious questions. I love you both but I quite frankly don’t see why Brit is even there, she adds nothing. I think she should speak more or leave, but asking obvious questions that everyone thought of 3 minutes ago isn’t helping anything. Let her tell part of the story or kick her. Ashley, you talk just fine. I listen at 2x speed but if you talk too fast for some people, they can slow it down. I love you ladies and this podcast got me into true crime. Stay at it!
  • K_weathers
    Just great!
I absolutely love this podcast!! Even though it does get a little political at times I don’t think it’s anything controversial, Ashley and Brit do just an exceptional job! One thing to change, is they refer to some minors who are involved in sex work as sex workers. This is inaccurate. Any minor in sex work is being trafficked and should be referred to as such. But otherwise, just a stellar podcast!

    Modern Agathas
I’m trying to solve mysteries along with the hosts at every twist and turn, as I am brought along as listening sleuth. I am always expecting the unexpected, just like an Agatha Christie mystery, except these are real stories. I’m hooked. A voice is given to those who have sadly departed. Well done. I’m sure Miss Agatha would approve.

    Not interested anymore
After the episode that was just an ad for the book…I’m out. I already was only listening to this whenever I was done with all my other podcasts. I have many other issues, but I will be kind and leave it at that. I do hope the hosts do great and thrive in all they do, it’s just not for me, and that’s okay. BUT PLEASE LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LAY VS. LIE. You guys get it wrong almost every single time, haha. ;)

    It’s changed…
I have been listening for years. This podcast has changed, and not for the better. Unlike other people, I’m not concerned with the political part… obviously this type of career leads one to advocate for others so it makes sense for their positions. My take comes from the story telling. It’s gone from a focus on the victims to how Ashley & Brit can “tell a story.” The words “like”, “whatever”, “I don’t know”, “I think”, and the ‘Valley Girl’ speak are getting to be too much, it’s honestly overwhelming and paired with the high-pitched/fast rambling, it sounds almost frantic when they’re speaking. There are lots of times they’re bringing incomplete (I’m not sure about that/we couldn’t find it) and inaccurate/one-sided information. If you go back and listen to early seasons, the quality of the reporting, the clarity of the story, and the seriousness have all diminished. I’ll still listen, but it’s not the first dropped podcast of the week that I look for anymore.

    Interruptions
I have always liked this podcast, however, it is annoying how often you interrupt guests or finish their sentences. Please allow them to tell their own story without your consistent input and interruptions.
  • 1948524678
    Love it!
Some people complain about the amount of opinions or politics. However this is a podcast after all. Not a news service. If you want straight facts, look through the news, do your own research you lazy bum. (Go to pod)

    Too Woke
I love true crime and used to love this show, but they are continually interjecting their opinions. I’m not here to hear their liberal commentary. I’m here to listen to a true crime account. And fyi I’m not maga. I just don’t need politics in every area of my life.

Top Tier Crime Podcast, Kind Of Libby
Great podcast but they often get on soapboxes about people living on the fringes of society and how they deserved better. Valid point but these rants regularly take away from the story. Enough said, they are a human beings, they didn’t deserve to be murdered.
  • dodiyxixigx
    Great storytelling but too political
These women do a great job of telling the stories of the cases and researching. Recent episodes have become way too political. It’s their podcast where they can share their opinion. I am just disappointed as I used to really enjoy it because of the neutrality which no longer exists.

The Best 4 A Reason: Explained.
TDLR: They are some of the best story tellers I have ever heard; full stop. My Heros may not be who you expect; Scott Galloway, Dave Chappell, Matt & Trey from South Park, and Ezra Kline. Brit and Ashley are extremely entertaining and reverent. They have CEO-level emotional intelligence, which they wield to story tell some of the most heavy material on the planet to benefit as many people as possible; including victims and their families. Long: I started watching Crime Junkie about three years ago, and back then I don’t know what the size of the production was but many of audiobooks current shows have not yet been released. I fell in love with these girls instantly, even when they were roughing it back then not just because they sound very pretty (you girls are!) - but because their emotional intelligence and story telling abilities are unmatched. Yes Ashley leads the story, but don’t think Brit is not an important part of the production. Their ability to riff will have you wondering whether the show is scripted; likely thought out to the bone but these girls are clever and whip smart. Yes those are similes, I just felt I had to say that twice.

    SO OVERRATED.
This show is not that good. Don’t understand why so many people like it because it is average, at best….

    Can’t Relax
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve found difficulty with a specific bedtime. I just couldn’t relax enough to fall asleep. 3 years ago, I stumbled across “Crime Junkies” and my bedtime experience changed for the better. I think it’s the melodic rhythm of the ladies voices that draws me into focused listening

    What is happening?
I have been a long time fan and listener. 5 years+. I work in the podcasting industry behind the scenes and have given praise to this network. The promotion of the book portrayed as a real story and publicized as one within the show? Very poor taste and bad judgment call. I know you guys can do better than that. Get back to what you guys do best.

    Love!
I’ve been listening to crime junkie for five years now. I appreciate the growth in how they present (especially dialect). I love Brit ! And I’m annoyed by all these negative reviews towards her. Best quality is how they use their platform to bring awareness.

    Getting worse
This podcast has gone down hill so far. They use to report facts now it is so opinion based it’s hard to even listen to anymore. Seems like they create a narrative and run with it. Go back to reporting facts

    Love Brit
This review is in response to everyone that says less Brit and for those who say they only blame police. Eff you. You don’t like the show, don’t listen. The shows where there were no Brit, I cried, and my first real full body chills was when she came back. As for the police, they give full props to the police who make good choices, and only blame the police who literally do dumb things, and it seems like a lot bc they do a lot of unsolved, and often the reason they’re unsolved is bc of the police’s dumb decisions in that case. I love the show, I love the format, no one’s perfect, and I’ve listened to every episode twice, since I’ve become an official crime junkie fan club member, and I’ve finally given in to admitting being a crime junkie.

    Solid solid podcast
If you’re MAGA this podcast will trigger you. Go back to Joe Rogan and your echo chamber. If you’re not maga this is a solid podcast for true crime to go on walks with.

IOWA PSA! Thanks for the warning!
Just finished the last episode and appreciate the warning to everyone that Robert Davis now resides in Iowa. Immediately forwarded to all my friends with a PSA. Been a longtime listener! Thanks for the facts and care you take in telling these stories! They help us all stay vigilant and aware.

    4/5
I enjoy the show and have listened to almost every episode. I do agree that presenting the plot of Ashley’s new book as an actual case was done in poor taste. Disagree with everyone who is leaving a review about the show being “too political.” It’s their show? They can make it as political as they want it to be, and if you do not believe that politics influences the outcome of many of these cases, then you are not paying attention.
