MCdominXIn need of a refreshEvery story is negligent law enforcement and racism to y’all. So much so that y’all’s reporting has become so predictable that it is no longer entertaining. Dateline is less political than Crime Junkie and thus easier to listen to. This is a fairly new development within the past several years, y’all haven’t always been the confrontational with your politics. Please shake things up a bit. The format is getting stale. PS-The archive episodes are so bizarre.

stcebBrit please shut up.Brit needs to drink again. She’s annoying sober. Also tired of privileged white women talk about how awful white people are lol.
-

Chunk shyCringy, fake peopleJust terrible. Tough to listen to their little commentary that’s obviously staged and disingenuous. They’re just… well, boring.
-
Too Many UnsolvedUnsolved JunkieAshley, you need to turn the name of the podcast to Unsolved Junkie because that’s all you do anymore. Been a fan for years and the ratio is getting to be WAY too high. Every week I say one more week, yet here we are again.

Lily lazuliSound quality needs workI’ve been going back and listening to all of the episodes from the beginning. I don’t know if this issue has been resolved over the course of time and is no longer an issue in recent episodes but the sound quality and volume is a real challenge. Their speaking bits are very soft and I have to turn up the volume higher than I do for any other type of listening but their commercials are super loud and jarringly placed. I enjoy the shows and and appreciate the service they’re doing but this sound quality is a real issue and one that seems like it shouldn’t be so difficult to address. I’ve listened to all episodes from the begging thru August 2018 and this is unfortunately still a huge problem.
-
KnoxfilmBetter without BrittI don’t know if it’s just me, but I think Britt sounds so fake and her comments are sometimes really annoying. I feel the show would be better without her.
-
✨Crimelover✨LOVE IT!!I LOVE this podcast so much!! I listen whenever I do chores or cook or to fall asleep. I don’t understand how people can hate on this podcast so much. Keep it going ladies!
-
mcsolheimGreat show!Absolutely adore the ladies of Crime Junkie. The stories they tell are thrilling and intriguing, they keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next.
-

fitnessjunkiecailsGrew on me!I have always really liked crime junkie but I really like how far it’s come! I love Brit! I really enjoy her being more involved in the more recent episodes and her responses seem more personable and less scripted now- I just wish we had more episode updates. You can’t please everyone! Keep doing your thing ladies!

PodcastPonderingMehThe quality of stories has really gone downhill the past few years. I’ll get through an episode and say “that’s it?!? That’s the whole story?”. But I guess eventually you run out of interesting murders/crimes. How you guys are still a top podcast is beyond me.
-
Slytherins_egoAbsolutely amazingI love this podcast. It's my go to for anything abd everything. I also love how dedicated you are to these victims. It's so incredible you care this much and we need more people like you two. ❤️❤️

13emma15things seem differenti’ve been listening since 2017 and this was one of my favorite podcasts. i still love ashley and brit but things just seem off. seems like ashley just has a ton of projects going on that end up overshadowing this one and Brit rarely talks except to give the occasional scripted response. i get that things change over time and they’re much busier now, but it’s taken away the reasons why i loved the show in the first place.

Carter Wheelercannot recommend enough - content focused on being a conscientious consumer of true crimeI’ve been listening to this podcast since 2020 and it’s been amazing to see the podcast and audio chuck evolve. In a recent re-listen from the beginning I found myself tearing up listening to 2019 Britt and Ashley and how they had no idea how much good their lil podcast was going to do. 🥹 This podcast stands out among true crime podcast because it’s centered on advocacy and storytelling. This podcast is a platform to bring unheard stories to light and bring justice for victims who may not have gotten any. as the platform has grown there has been a demand for the more popular and mainstream true crime cases, but crime junkie works hard to add something new that makes the listen worthwhile. This organization has put their money where their mouth is with their season of justice foundation, and that is just the beginning! in a chaotic world, just listening to these stories and learning these victims’ names makes me feel like I’m doing a small thing to help things get better and by supporting this podcast and listening to this podcast you are too! I’ve learned so much through listening and especially the crime junkie life rules 🤭Thanks, Britt and Ashley for all your hard work and for being the friends in my ears all these years and for making me feel less alone in tough times 🫶🏻

Sushi lover 83My go to crime podcastI love this podcast! Well I love Ashley. Brit asks the dumbest questions that half the time don’t even matter and it’s really annoying.
-
NotbyeFeliciaMore Brit pleaseI don’t normally write reviews, but I used to love this podcast and listen to every episode… it’s obviously scripted so I don’t know why she has Brit ask these questions that she doesn’t know the answer to…
-
AnniversaryBabyStill the best TC podcastIf people don’t like the conversation-style storytelling they can go listen to The Deck. I personally enjoy listening to these two talk about cases and Britt often has ideas I wouldn’t have thought of. Love you this podcast and all the good you do!!
-
luxblakI’d give it zero starsAs of today I am no longer a supporter of crime junkie, they claim to be for justice but promote brands such as Starbucks who refuse to let their workers unionize and close stores if the pressure gets to much. If we want things to change we have to hit the corporate giants where it hurts. Complicity is silence there refusal to speak out about the injustices we as Americans are facing right now in the government speaks volumes on their characters. Are we going to be entertained by true crime and pretend the crime isn’t happening right outside our door steps???
-
a noodle.love this!dear brit and ashley ur pod is awesome and great for people who just started listening to true crime! i’ve been listening to this pod for about a year and i love it! however, i know that u want to bring attention to unsolved cases, and that’s great, duh, but can u do more solved ones? i don’t like cliffhangers haha. also brit, ur interjections are not annoying! i really like them because u ask the a questions that need to be asked! it does seem a bit scripted, but whatevs. keep posting!

LandoCommando89🥇💯🥳🤫Fantastic PodcastVery professional, would appeal to a wide range of age groups due to Brit and Ashley’s great narrating and walkthrough to each case. Highly recommend
-
LexapussBrit’s ReactionsBrit needs to slow her roll, it’s hard to get through the story with her over the top reactions. Ashley has the patience of a saint dealing with her.
-
starryeyed11Amazing!!!Crime Junkie is so amazing I literally love it so much. It goes through all the details, they actually dig and find out things that weren’t in the newspaper or the news, it’s informative, it gives resources, not just of where they found the information, but also where you can get help if you need it. Again, love this podcast and am going to the Crime Junkie tour in Detroit in March. Can’t wait! CJ4Life

Pat020796Unsolved murders cases are boring and I see through it.I’m sorry but unsolved cases are just so pointless and it just feels like a tool they use to get engagement from their fans. I don’t think these girls actually care about having good cases or having good stories. Too often does ashley say “idk” or “im not sure” when Brit pretends to ask something she “doesn’t know”. Murder in America is better than this show by a mile.
-
dsmouseDisappointingI can read the newspaper and know about most of these cases. They have nothing to add to the cases. Yes Brit immature interaction is annoying.
-
E. ShackNot as good as it use to beWAY too many different podcasts on one feed it’s incredibly confusing. GO BACK TO THE OLD WAYS!!!! This use to be my favorite podcast but I’m not sure what happened. You guys started to report on incredibly old cases or cases that have taken place not in the US. Definitely just not the same reporting that I use to binge episodes and couldn’t wait until the next episode was posted. Now I don’t even listen.
-
Jrknight_❤️I hope everything is okay! I haven’t heard from my best friends since Jan 27th ❤️
-
ofykuIt’s okI’m trying to give this podcast a chance. I appreciate the research and storytelling by Ashley but there’s just something about Brit’s voice that keeps throwing me off and the constant interruptions don’t help.
-
Bre @ VisionmakersThe best true crime podcast!Ashley and Brit are great storytellers. Their podcast helped me to understand the challenges of the justice system, how crimes are actually solved, and what’s going on behind the scenes. All while being very interesting and entertaining! I also appreciate that the gruesome parts are kept to a minimum and that their main focus is the facts and the investigation. Love you both and thank you!
-
Mick Gone FishingAmazingAs a former law-enforcement officer for over 15 years and a chief of police for over four years, this is probably the best investigating team who gathers as much information as possible to give the victims an opportunity to be heard. I have enjoyed every episode that I have bingedlistening to and can’t think of a better crime podcast or in this case Crime Junkie podcast the compares to this. Keep up the great work and I’m sure we’ll cross paths someday down the road.Semper Fi

GingerKnottBest True Crime Podcast EverI really love this true crime podcast ❤️❤️❤️🥰 It is one of my favorite podcasts. I love listening to it while doing other things

Ashleynk_Love the podcast and Ashley, not so much BritIt’s been two weeks since I discovered the Crime Junkie Podcast, so maybe my review will change over time. I love listening and watching true crime stories and hearing about several different cases. I first listened to a few of the newest episodes and decided to start from the beginning in 2017. I’m working my way up to the newer episodes. In my opinion, I believe Ashley does a very good job with navigating through the story and telling specific details while also being a very interesting storyteller and keeping your attention. Although, I’m not a huge fan of Brit, only because of her sometimes unnecessary commentary while Ashley is speaking. When I’m truly invested into the story Ashley is describing, I most times find myself getting annoyed to hear Brit talk over Ashley, cut her off while speaking, making unnecessary remarks and simply asking unrelated/stupid questions.. when we all know the answer. I assume this is a tactic used to try to be relatable to listeners or engage with them, but I find it almost so annoying to where I don’t even want to listen to the podcast anymore. It also seems very scripted, because a question that Brit asks, will immediately follow into Ashley seamlessly flowing into the next chapter of the story. Also, Brit.. why are you always laughing at the most inappropriate times? I find nothing funny about the cases.. I’ll continue listening for now, hopefully things change over the age of the podcast. Also very annoyed with all the ads while listening and having to skip to 4 mins to get to the start of the podcast. Not to mention now there seems to be 5-10 minutes talking about dogs at the end. (I’m a dog lover- but really?) I’d recommend making a separate podcast about dogs and not talking about them after a murder case.
-
Podcastcritic no.1ReviewGreat show a bit boring at times but a overall amazing podcast if you like to be on the edge of your seat but they petty inconsistent and it gets kind of annoying having to wait for so long to hear another new episode
-
lolanmoseNo new episodes on AppleThere hasn’t been an episode since January 27. I’m missing my crime junkies!! I know the website says there have been new episodes but I haven’t seen any on Apple. I’m not sure what’s going on. Is there a new pay wall??
-
Kristin PetrellaTotally obsessedI just found you and I’m so glad I have! I have binged for the past week and was amazed you did one about Crystal Rodger’s as this happened near me. I am enjoying you all so much. You have been the only crime podcast the doesn’t bore me to death or put me right to sleep. I literally cannot get enough.
-
JeffklKPerfect Podcast!I love any true crime podcast but Ashley and Britt do an amazing job of combing facts of the case with a good play by play commentary from Ashley mixed with a little of a color commentary from Britt with just the perfect amount of banter between them! Great format. Great research. Good chemistry!

magcarolNewish listener life long “crime junkie”My friends call me “PI” Maggie because I am always hyper-vigilant of random things that my friends usually don’t notice. I grew up with a mom who was from New York and her my grandmother being a life long New Yorkers. I was taught to keep my purse attached to me, to never leave my purse alone in a shopping cart, and if I do put it in a shopping cart to attach it to “baby strap”. So I feel like this subconsciously made me be alert at all times. I have high anxiety but for some reasoning listening to true crime or watching true crime doesn’t make my anxiety worse it helps me because I feel like I learn what not to do, or like what you guys have taught what to do (if I go missing folder). I had a time when I was 25 where I was a little more free with my actions (give the middle finger to people on the road). BUT after this particular day I now never give someone “the finger” while driving. I’m from the south so flipping the bird is very natural to me unfortunately. Well someone riding my behind as I was signaling to turn into my neighborhood. Thinking they would back off when I turned my blinker on but it’s like it made him more mad. As he speeds past me while I’m still turning I just “politely” put my middle finger right at the bottom of my window. Well this man decides to put his car in reverse on a main road and turn into my neighborhood. He then begins to get on my behind again while I’m literally in my neighborhood. While I only live a few houses in so that’s no way in HECK I’m turning into my driveway because nobody was home. I took the next right which I knew was just a dead end culd de sac. So as he noticed there was no where to follow me to because I just started driving in CIRCLES in the dead end. He then reverses again and pulls out to the road we drove in on aka my road I live on and parks his car and watches me do circles. I call 911 and start going behind him. I took a picture of license plate. Well he sees I’m following him and he clearly doesn’t know where to go so he drives to the exit of my neighborhood. I went right behind him giving the police his description and what was going on. The man then proceeds to put his car in park, get out of his car and come up to my driver window and back window which I had my dog in the backseat(Buster - who is now unfortunately passed but I believe to this day he saved me). Buster was not mean and not aggressive but this man was yelling at me asking me why I was following him basically gaslighting me to try and scare me and make me feel like I did something wrong. Buster was in a seat belt but he attempted to LUNGE out of the window at this man. I start screaming at the top of my lungs why are you following a young girl home, what is your problem. He started just screaming curse words and backed away as Buster was now yelling back at him. Once I told The man I’m on the phone with the police he got in his car and drove away. Well police came to my house an hour later…. To get more details etc. I said I know you can’t do anything now but I was calling because in my gut something didn’t feel right. They agreed that the dog definitely help scare him off and to call if i see him again. So now 5 years later i am PARANOID about someone following me but i stay vigilant because you never know someone’s intentions especially if they’re mad. Mind you this was very suburban area and in the middle of the day but I wasn’t about to find out what his intentions were. But this show makes me think of that moment often. I started listening end of 2024. And now started from the beginning so thank you guys for working so hard all these years and sharing stories. You rule.

ChelsexoAwesome Podcast!I absolutely love true crime & can’t get enough of this podcast! Highly recommend if you enjoy true crime as much as I do! The in depth details are just details you don’t hear elsewhere!! Thank you Ash & Britt! Love you ladies ❤️💖
-
TaePodsMainstreamI don’t know if it’s just because they went mainstream or what, but they don’t give a hoot about their fans anymore. They rarely cover any solved cases and barely do any actual journalism outside of what other people already did. Also the crime junkie subscription is a literal scam you’re literally just paying for an episode a couple days early
-
Danny DeckThere’s always a but…Great show. Tried to give it 4.5 but I’m not very bright. Informative, well paced and the hosts clearly are doing this the right way. They don’t speak lightheartedly or crack jokes like other podcasts. These are devastating events and both hosts give that fact the proper respect…but, are we really to believe that Brit has no idea what Ashley is going to say? The fake gasps and “wait…what” from Brit are distracting and annoying. It’s not adding anything and actually takes away from The Podcast. Knock that off and it’s a 5 star show
-
DakotaLPAre you guys ok?!I listen to crime junkies every single week and I noticed you haven’t posted a new one yet. 😭 are you guys okay?!?!
-
RacheCakeI love Brit!I feel like Brit’s role is very vital to the quality of this podcast. She asks the questions that I’m dying to ask Ashley as she is telling the story. It really helps clarify what I’m hearing. She also makes comments about the material that are totally relatable to my reaction to the story. It makes the podcast more like a conversation than someone just telling a story. Awesome podcast!
-
woman/business/ownerLove and HateI love this podcast but hate at the same times for every unsolved case it just tore me apart every time Love so much that I can’t stop listening
-
EmmerwhiteBEST PODCAST EVEROne of the only podcasts I listen too! It’s just so good
-
HawtdogflvrwtrWelcome back Brit but also not.Look.. I’m glad Brit is ok and healthy again, but I find myself saying “Brit, please hush!” Several times each episode upon her return, because she goes on a valley girl rant about obvious details or comments that totally derail what are supposed to be intense moments in the podcast that we’re all on the edge of our seats waiting to hear. I just finished a 6 month journey listening to every single episode from the beginning and noticed it happen upon her return from health related issues. I have just flat out started skipping episodes when she rants for 10-30 second about nonsense or interrupts Ashley when she’s on a roll. I really think it’s time to back up and go to the way the podcast was in the early days.
-
Xoxo_bridgieYass 💕I absolutely loveee Ashley and Britt. I look forward to your episodes each week. I feel like I’m in the room with you ladies chatting

Stitch.lover.co.💙💙💙💙AWESOME PODCAST!!!Please read this before listening to this podcast. So I started listening to this podcast about 3-4 years ago and I love to listen to this podcast whenever I’m drawing, coloring or just listening just for fun but I love this podcast the most because Ashley and Brits voices are so so… … soothing in my opinion and I just like true crime podcasts. So umm thanks for reading!!
