Off Track with Hinch and Rossi

621

A look into the lives of professional IndyCar drivers, reality television stars, and best friends James Hinchcliffe and Alexander Rossi. Though Hinch and Rossi have seen plenty of success on the track, the show is meant to highlight their off-the-track lives, including their unfiltered opinions on what’s trending in popular culture. Off Track is at its heart a sports show, but Hinch and Rossi are well-versed in popular culture and have experience relating to influential figures across a variety of disciplines. The interviews consist of athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs -- really anyone with a passion for what they do, regardless of what that is.

I love this podcast, and love getting to know Alex. In two of the last 3 episodes James was adamant that Indy does not need the fans who may not share his opinion or accept some of the changes that Indy is introducing e.g Texas change. What James has to understand is that some people do not like and, or may take longer to accept change; usually they come around. SoCal have great sports fans who are passionate about Indy (eg Long Beach) and the fact that Indy leadership is so tone death that they have a members only race at a time when they are trying to grow Indy is insanity, this decision goes hand in hand with the short season and long intervals between races. When will they learn? Indy has to decide what it wants to be when it ‘grows up’, they need better promoters/promotion. James, stop dumping on the fans.

    Fascinating Behind-The-Scenes Insights
I love the show. Most (not all 😉) of the shows contain at least one nugget of information about IndyCar racing or racing in general. As someone who once dreamed of getting into racing professionally, I find the insights fascinating. Oh and thanks for the shout-outs, guys! James, it was my pleasure. 🙂 Glad it was a blessing to you and Becky!

    Great race info
Really enjoy James and Alex sharing their experiences behind the wheel. Great to get the inside technical aspects of racing. Tim’s ok too 😎

Stay off the topic of nascar
You guys do a great job of reviewing INDYCAR. But it’s painfully obvious you guys don’t pay attention to the rules of NASCAR. And you guys look stupid every time you talk about NASCAR. Stick to INDYCAR and don’t try and justify NASCAR when you don’t know the rules.

    Great Show!
I listen as soon as I get the notification that a new show is out. Great content.

    Love the Q & A podcast
The Q & A podcast was great. A couple years back you all talked about your favorite licorice. Have you all tried the “Wiley Wallaby - Soft & Chevy Licorice?” This is the best licorice, so much better than “Red Vines” or “Twizzlers!” Love all how you all talk about a variety of topics as well as racing!! Keep doing the podcast!!!🙌🏻👏🏻🏎️💨

    My go to
This is my go to for INDYCAR chatter! You guys are so fun to listen to! Thanks! Calm down Tim!

    Rossi
Rossi so happy that you took the time to describe your situation that happened in Iowa at the end of the second race. I saw the mean tweets and was appalled by them. You Go Rossi🏁🏁

Good show, tailored for IndyCar fans
Gives you a reason to root for a driver. Rossi is pretty interesting to hear from and easy to root for especially given his race craft, but refuses to say things more than once so you’ll have to listen to every episode lol.

    Easily the best motorsports podcast
The team here just works - so many "sports talk" radio shows and podcasts come off as know-it-all talking heads obviously on the outside looking in on whatever the topic. But this show is just different -- whatever these guys are talking about (sometimes they even talk about even racing!) they *know* what they're talking about from the inside. Every show comes across as a casual, matter-of-fact conversation that I somehow feel a part of... so if I ever meet these guys at the track, I will probably start talking to them as if I've known them for years and it will be super awkward. Sorry in advance, gentlemen.

    Love this podcast
The travel tips alone are worth the listen but I love all the stories and the friendship between these three. I hope they never stop despite Rossi having to suffer through every episode. He really is hilarious. I also hope I never have to sit next to him on an airplane because I would want to talk (a lot) and I might explode from trying not to. I would be sure, however, to get the flight attendant to announce there is an Indy 500 winner on board. Oh, and I really enjoy the breakdown of racing when it happens.

    Best travel podcast!
Ever want to know what to tell a person you’re sitting next to on an airplane you do so they don’t talk to you for the whole flight. Hinch and Rossi will let you know. You say you want a racing podcast? Move along sir.

    So many ads 🤮
Hey Siri, skip ahead 30 seconds. *still playing annoying ad* hey Siri skip ahead another 30 seconds. every episode starts with a bunch of ads and ends with a bunch of ads (after the episode is over. Whyyy??) and there are a bunch of ads in the middle. It’s so annoying and the ads are never relevant to my life.
  • MissM22
    The ads 😡
I love you guys and I love the show but I listen to this while I run so I can’t skip and if I hear the ad about the collagen voiceless body again I’m gonna have a mental breakdown

    JV vs Schumacher
Gentlemen! Love the show, the banter, love it all. I am training for my 8th marathon and while I’m much older than the last time I trained (pre-Covid), and much slower this go-round, and training in “Hades” (aka: Austin, TX—the hottest summer on record)—I look forward to your podcasts on my long runs. And here I am, running in a neighborhood in North Austin when you said, Hinch, talking about Jerez, Spain, the final GP of 1997 with Jacques Villeneuve and Schumacher where the championship was decided in one corner, essentially, I yelled out, “Yes! Let’s go Hinch!” I feel the same—Jacques was my guy too. I woke up early in California to watch that battle. But it was how you worded it, you respect Schumacher, but also noted that it was a “dirty” move. And while I hate to admit it, now, as a Danny Ric fan, I agree with you both—kinda want to see Red Bull just plow through the rest of the year and say I saw history. Anyways, love the show guys, and thank you for keeping me going on my runs. Hope you have a blast at Laguna Seca, that was my first race ever, in 1994 as a kid. I got to see Mario’s final race. Pretty cool! Cheers, Jill 🤠

    Please advertise less
Too much advertising for this show on podcasts that are actually about sports and not gambling. Please dial it back, Sirius!

    Great Podcast
Podcast is a great mix of information, education, humor, & behind the scenes insight. Hinch & Rossi are a perfect blend. And then there’s Thim!!
  • Cowkid1
    Great IndyCar Pod
They touch on all things, not just racing. It’s a good mix with Hinch being personable, knowledgeable and friendly. Then you have the very intelligent but anti friendly Rossi. And Tim is not very knowledgeable about sports but adds some good comic relief. Overall a great mix and listen.

    Great Indycar and Motorsports podcast
By far the best Indycar podcast available. It’s also nice to hear a normal racers reaction NASCAR events and F1.

I eat chips while listening to the show
Highly recommend synchronizing snacks with the show for heightened enjoyment. My favorite podcast that isn’t about unsolved murders or conspiracy theories. They make my Thursdays better, because my life is dumpster fire adrift in an abyss of despair. Thanks!

    Rossi Groupie
Please don’t stop this Podcast! It’s funny! Informative! Promoting! It teaches a groupie like me more and more about INDYCAR racing and the drivers every time I listen. I listen every week after every race I watch. I’ve been to a least 2 races a year for the last few years and am understanding more about the science of racing because of you Guys. You have great chemistry and knowledge. My official Vote is YES to Continue the podcast especially because of the coming of a new engine and team for Alex, more about Tim and Hazel’s adventure and James with NBC!
  • Bsilky

Great podcast, Alex and James are hilarious! Been a huge Rossi supporter since his days at Manor, favorite driver. Go get that title this year!

    More racing, less Tim
Enjoy the content. But wish more insights and focus on racing and less interruption by Tim. Bogs the show down. Has potential to be the Nascar version of Dale Jr Download if focus on racing topic.

    Testing at Indy Episode
What a great episode. I didn’t love hearing the challenges with the front wing at Indy, but I really respect and appreciate the honesty. Hopefully Firestone takes a chance on the front tires, so we have a great show!

    Rossi Disagrees w Everyone Podcast
Hinch and Tim are great (5/5).. Rossi, not so much (1/5). Alex literally just disagrees with every point or tries to correct things (even if they’re already correct) for some odd reason. You’re not the smartest guy in the room, so settle down guy.
