    Great aviation podcast!
Captain Nick does a great job telling stories of aviation history as well as his own story as he progressed through a military career as a fighter pilot. Very interesting content and well delivered!

    Master Storyteller
Capt Nick is not only an accomplished military and airline pilot, but he is equally accomplished as a storyteller. If you want to hear the little gems of a distinguished flying career, listen to Plane Tales. It is a masterful podcast. Highly recommended!

    My grandpa
My grandpa was a pilot. I am not. The most I’ve ever flown was crowded in a plane going from one major city to the next. Certainly not like any of the stories on this podcast where there’s all kinds of interesting stories and planes. Still I can picture myself right along with the people in these accounts, my scarf blown back and my leather bomber jacket fitting snuggly about me. Thanks for a great show.

The “Paul Harvey” or Mike Rowe” of Aviation!
Captain Nick is a wonderful storyteller providing some interesting facts from some of the more obscure aviation history. It really harkens back to Paul Harvey’s, “The Rest of the Story, or the updated similar version of Mike Rowe’s, That’s the Way I Heard it,” only Capt. Nick’s stories are aviation related. Keep up the good work Captain!!

    One of the best podcasts
I love Captain Nick and I love this podcast. Captain Nick has a real talent for telling stories. Nick is an incredibly experienced airman and listening to him tell these stories, most of which I’ve never heard, is not just educational but so well executed. I always look forward to the next story.

    Simply the Best.
A magnificent podcast. This gentleman has been gracious enough to share his gift of storytelling with the rest of us. I listen to this podcast not only for the fantastic aviation content, but also for the joy of listening to a well-narrated and detailed story. As a fellow fighter pilot, it’s everything I could hope for when I’m stuck not flying and need a fix.

Outstanding aviation story teller and stories (absolutely agree)
Capt. Nick is a great story teller and does an outstanding job of researching extremely interesting but generally unknown aviation history stories and then tells them with his wry sense of humor and British accent. It all makes for a marvelous podcast.

    The Legend of Captain Nick
With less than 200 days left in your professional flying career, I do hope you will continue these fantastic stories in retirement. The research, attention to detail, and your natural story telling voice make this show a must listen! Thank you for producing an aviation masterpiece that can be shared for electronic eternity!

Revealed before take off. The mystery behind the history
With all the advances in modern aviation, it’s easy to forget how and why things got to be the way they are. Cautionary, emotional, and thought provoking stories from a birds eye perspective few of us may never witness finally vocalised. Sit back and enjoy the (prop) wash of knowledge, experience, research and nostalgia. Don’t only listen alone - it is a family show, ladies and gentleman after all.

I’ve listened to all of Captain Nick’s tales and I’ve enjoyed them all. The tales tell of history, courage, and engineering feats that span the decades. Nick put a lot of time into his tales and it is apparent. He has the gift of a storyteller.

    Great Aviation Stories
"Captain Nick" has a knack for storytelling and draws on over a century of incidents, events and anecdotes across the spectrum of the aviation world to put together these entertaining stories. If you're particularly interested in one aspect of aviation, sift through the episodes and you're sure to find one that suits your interests. If you simply enjoy airplanes, history and stories, work your way through all of them. Well researched and well told by a personality who himself has a distinguished career in both military and civil aviation. Captain Nick is also British.
