    Dr. Rob Bell does a great job of bringing on guests who share their wisdom based on the questions he asks. A lot of the messages I have used in my career, on the golf course, and in my personal life. I recommend this to everyone especially younger athletes.

    Gives you great food for thought
    First episode I listened to is number 89. Loved the relationship between the training and life. Never heard “your why makes you cry” and that really hit home. Recommend this for anyone looking for insightful conversation and perspective.

    Disappointing.
    There are two kinds of teachers in this world; the ones who teach from things they read in a book and just regurgitate those lessons to others, and the ones who teach from a place of deep understanding and living a life that reflects those teachings. These podcasts and teachings are unfortunately not the latter. Demeaning name calling from the business development team specifically referring to someone’s mental health when this show is based around mental wellness and toughness seems irresponsible. Such a disappointment.

    Amazing for Athletes!
    After listening to this episode; 1. I want to listen to the rest!!! And 2. It was great for an athlete to listen to. Not only athletes in general, but athletes who have struggled with injury themselves. I loved that Donita talked about the word “can’t” and referred to it as a cuss word. A few notes I took that stood out the most to me were the fact that its not about the setback, but about the comeback. When getting injured, that is all and athlete worries about until they understand that there is so much more ahead of them. This leads me to my next note of understanding how an injury can change your approach when you’re an athlete. Personally, I have had one injury that ended my junior season of softball, but when you have a “go-getter” mentality, it is easy to remind yourself that you have so much ahead of you and when you’re able to get back at it, you go as hard as your body lets you, but also as hard as you can to be even better than you were before mentally and physically. Something else I thought was neat that Donita said was when she was in Kentucky, she mentioned the dogs and how she couldn’t stop because she didn’t know if they would come at her or not. This was good for her mentally because she had to tell herself to keep going. I think a good analogy to this is when you’re an athlete, you have people from the outside trying to tear you down and ruin your mental, but from an athlete’s standpoint I think this is so encouraging and people should use others like this to their advantage. In conclusion, GREAT podcast, and I want to listen to more!!!!

    These podcasts have helped me out a lot as an athlete. I have been in a slump recently and have been struggling with how to maintain my mental toughness in order to persevere and be successful. Listening I have learned how to trust myself and control my way of thinking. Dr Rob has a way of putting things into perspective and opening up questions about yourself. I have taken a lot of what he has said and implemented it into my daily life.

    I listened to episode 89 in this series and loved the lessons do perseverance and hard work. Getting towards a goal is not easy and it is not always fun, but the reward is worth it to the hardest worker!! Interviews like this are relatable and inspire athletes to keep working hard to achieve their goals.

    Dr. Rob’s podcasts have been informational and inspirational as I seek to overcome the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical obstacles in the way of personal growth. I enjoy Dr. Rob’s skillful interviewing of his guests and hearing how people, from every walk of life, can become elite performers, overcoming all manner of adversity to reach goals and dreams. One personal anecdote after reading Dr. Rob’s Book, “Puke and Rally” occurred when I went deep sea fishing and got sea sick—bummer, but despite puking my guts out, I rallied and got back to fishing and caught my biggest three fish of the day—back-to-back-to-back. I later discovered that one of the fish won me the jackpot as the biggest fish on the boat among 25 fisherman that day!
