  • Tennis, anyone?
    What happened to the podcast?
No new episodes for many months — what happened? Did I miss an announcement that Gigi and Naomi are done? ☹️

    My favorite podcast
I love this podcast, the combo of tennis news and talk about their families (mostly from Gigi). Loved Gigi’s work on ATP tennis radio and just heard Naomi commenting in Atlanta. Look forward to each new episode. It’s a fun listen.

    Snap Out of It!
Why pray tell do you think Djokovic is clearly the best player in the world? Didn’t Medvedev whoop him in straight sets at last year’s US Open? Didn’t Nadal whoop him at the French? Doesn't Nadal hold two Grand Slams on a 19 grand slam winning streak?

    The end of Tennish?
Your podcast is so good, but I disagree with your analysis of the problems with women’s tennis. I’m genuinely happy to watch Jabeur, Halep, Rybakina, and so many other wonderful players who are true professionals. I really do not miss the “superstars” you mentioned in your recent conversation.

    Radio RG Withdrawal
After two weeks of stellar coverage, RG 2022 ended with two deserving champions. But having become accustomed to the insight, commentary, and banter from the first thing in the US East Coast morning, I felt cast out and adrift after the final Sunday. I'm happy to note that the algorithmic gods took pity on me and put this podcast in my suggested feed. Indulging in the reflections from one of the Radio RG crew was just what the doctor ordered. And it was The Empress, no less! Thanks for the hard work and flim flam alike! Can't wait to hear more!

    Listener in the US
I love to listen to the two of you talk tennis. Indeed, I have been known to use VPN so that I can listen to you call matches on the radio. I listened to the final between Emma and Laylah on 5 Live with the audio muted on the ESPN telecast—which took some doing to get them synced up. I just love the language, the excitement, the build-up, and that explosion of emotion at crucial points—especially that final ace. You could resell a full or highlights version of the radio version. I for one would purchase it.

    Delightful Dish
Not sure how I stumbled upon Tennish this year, but I love it so much I’ve gone backward and started listening from the beginning (mainly because I got impatient waiting for the next week’s pod.). I think I’m somewhere in October 2019 right now and loving every minute. One might ask, how could an outdated tennis podcast be enjoyable to listen to? Well the “ish” in Tennish, of course. Whether it’s hearing about Naomi’s first hand experiences on the tour (and how it all works) or Gigi’s life as a sports announcer (and mum of twins) it’s all quite fascinating and entertaining. Yes, yes... you still get A+ tennis reporting but the ish has quickly become my favorite dish. 😋

Y’all make my day every time I listen!
Stumbled across the Tennish podcast as part of the Tennis Channel family of podcasts recently and am hooked!! Love the banter between Naomi & Gigi, feel like I’m hanging out with a couple of hilarious friends while I Iisten - can’t help but make my way through the older episodes in between waiting for new ones to drop:)

    Tennish is fantastic
You two make me laugh so hard! I feel like I’m in on the joke. Every episode is filled with gems and infectious laughter, and wonderful insights about tennis too! Every episode I’ve heard has lifted my spirits. Thank you so much! The bit about changing your accent when you visit a different country was hilarious.

2 knowledgeable tennis commies with tremendous rapport
Love listening to these 2 close friends gab about tennis & other *vital* matters. Professional tennis commies discuss matches & players in funny, relaxed convos. Naomi is a former tennis pro & gives insight into how pros deal with behind-the-scenes matters & problems, from practice to travel to the actual matches. Gigi feeds her cake & leading questions. Super chats!

    All of my favorite things
Gigi and Naomi talk about all of my favorite things: tennis, snacks, baking, and dogs. The podcast is a fun mix of tennis news, behind the scenes info, and whatever else happens to be on their mind. Their chemistry is great. I could listen to them talk all day!

    Fun and games
Between laughing over snack-food revelations, Naomi's sprints and being somewhat concerned for Sven (with or without bow tie), learning so much from Gigi and Naomi about the game of professional tennis -- and how it's covered. More an armchair fan than player, I'm tickled to get the insider scoops on coaching, the mental game, the juniors, what pros do after tennis, how to be/get hitting partners all punctuated by little gem tidbits on the great players. And why some commentators get snacks while others don't. Massive fun, ladies. Keep on.
