Those 'pegging episodes' are my absolute favorites. I was dying laughing while listening to season 17's. I almost couldn't breathe. I cannot get enough of the Jesse Esparza episode from July! Good mood: listen to that episode. Bad mood: listen to that episode. You get the drift! It’s a masterpiece. So funny does not get old even after listening to it about 50 times. Thank you, Mano for great episodes and if you couldn’t tell, I have a favorite. I’m gonna go listen to it for the 51st time. Ha

These episodes have been extremely hard to listen to lately, from lackluster guests and blowing smoke up their rear ends for the first 30 mins, to them not really seeming to care anymore. I’ll only listen to the episodes with Nicole Byer and Rachel Bloom in them.

I’ve been listening to Drag Her! Since the early days of mommy headgum and daddy vulture when in the first episode Joel Kim booster said he and Nicole byer were the “Christopher Columbus of podcasting”. I love the current iteration just as much, Mano always keeps it pushing fish, has great guests that spill the tea huntyy, and actually ima bout to go to the gym so I’m gonna stop writing this review now bye!!!!

Mano, I’ve listened throughout the years and even though it hurts my ears to listen to you….I have to say it’s a pain derived from pleasure. Yes, you are throwing more dirt (inevitable) on the queens. Yes, it sounds like you hate the magical and fantastical world of the wonders. And yes, it sounds like you are obliged to speak about seasons since you committed to watch them. BUT I ain’t complaining. I actually love it because you have me screaming wanting to debate you (of course in a loving manner where we are throwing wigs at each other). Your guests, your comments (especially the dirty ones) and your laughter is contagious. Keep doing what you are doing, in my eyes you is a star! If I didn’t live in FL, I would be in LA writing tons of fun stuff and being writing buddies!! Jokes aside, love your work. Love how humble you seem. I love a good Drag Race podcast, but for some reason here at “Drag Her” it’s really starting to feel as if you and your guest just don’t like the show anymore. On this most recent episode with Chris Renfro the majority of the episodes was basically saying how much Mano and Chris despise World of Wonder and what they’re doing with the show (as if we don’t know what type of show we’re watching). It just comes off as that you can’t find anything you like about Global All Stars but since you committed to reviewing it you’re just gonna suffer through it instead of viewing the show for its face value. A whole lot of behind the scenes knowledge seems to have just ruined the show for you. Love the pod and I’m still gonna listen every week (first thing in the morning on Monday as I drive to work), but all I ask is if drag race can be fun again?!

I love hearing your takes on the episodes. I really enjoyed the most memorable moments and the episode where you were improvising. I know there are some many versions of Drag Race, but I’m telling you Drag Race Germany Season 1 was great!

But if you do I would like Pat Regan and the ghost of his dead wife who he loved very much and definitely didn’t kill to host. I think the very fun people who are also writing reviews would love that.

I just discovered this podcast today while getting the chores done at the laundromat. Hysterical! A guest who not only had not paid attention to the episode but has hardly ever watched Drag Race—this was the perspective we all needed. When Jesse called Plastique “Star Girl” the first time I practically did a spit take! And thank you for pointing out that her gown looked like someone on DCC was running for Dallas housewife of the year (my interpretation). Btw, I do love Plastique just didn’t love that gown!

Love Mano and the show in general so am not rating less than 5 stars but truly please stop having people who don’t watch the show on! I am listening for a breakdown of the show and the fact that the most recent guest didn’t even know the contestants. Are they that self important that they accept the invite to go on figuring they can wing it and talk about themselves? At a time when there are more drag race fans than ever before that could make great guests, it’s incredibly embarrassing. 🥴

And he has a guest who in his first few sentences reveals (a) he’s only watched a few seasons, (b) he didn’t watch all of this season, and (c) he fast forwarded through the finale. Come on! No. I liked this podcast at first but now it’s just too cynical. I’d rather listen to someone who actually likes the show.

Truly look forward to new episodes dropping Monday mornings (the only thing I look forward to on a Monday morning as I listen why I’m getting ready for work in the mornings)! Love supporting a fellow North Carolinian!! I loved Season 16 and I feel in love with Nymphia Wind on her first episode and declared her my winner from day one!! I was thrilled with her crowning and couldn’t wait for the DRAG HER - S16 Finale episode to drop. However, I was sadly disappointed by this episode as while your co-host seemed charming I was disappointed that Pat had only fast forwarded through the episode and it seemed you all were more invested in talking about his “dead” wife - may she rest in peace! The Banana Queen and all the contestants deserved a better send off for an extremely entertaining season!! Was Oscar, Nicole, or Rachel not available?!? Look forward to the podcast RU-deeming itself with All-Stars 9!! Love this show, but what’s up with this last guest on the finale episode? Do they even like drag race? They stated they never watch the seasons, they fast forwarded through the episode, etc. It was such a bummer for this finale episode. You even commented on the bored crowd during the finale and the guest felt like that crowd. Maybe have another fan on next time - Oscar is amazing!

While there are, of course, no other Drag Race recap podcasts, I have listened to a handful of other podcasts that will occasionally spend some time discussing Drag Race, and this one is by far my favorite. It consistently delivers hilarious guests, hot takes I agree with about 85% of the time, and the neurotic level of attention to every judgy little detail that I require. And I can’t get over how quickly and reliably new episodes drop every week! Thanks so much.

A friend of mine introduced me to Drag Her. So far, I’ve really loved the insight into the show. My only issue is that the guest sometimes has to reign in Mano (recent episode with Oscar), as Mano was interrupting quite a bit. Granted, while I can appreciate the issues surrounding UKvtW2 crowning, a bit of restraint would have been welcome. Issue aside, I look forward to next week’s episode! ~~~~~ 04/08/2024 - Update! To address Rachel’ comment about me feeling the need to be specific in a podcast review because I’m not able to be specific with other in my life: it’s not false. I’m sorry that the comment was harsh. I don’t know you that well and transposed my own insecurities and concerns and that’s not fair to you. For context, I have a terrible habit of interrupting others and—surprise surprise—I’m not keen when others do it to me. Further, I tend to be on the quiet side, so its easy for others to speak over me. I’ve been actively working on trying to give others space to speak while learning to establish boundaries; however, I’m a work in-progress. LOVED this week’s review of book branding episode. Rachel is an absolute gem and love her and her allyship. Mano, loved this episode and your banter with Rachel, as well as discussing production. Looking forward to next week!
