Montana JulieGuests too earlyIt’s frustrating that he always gets guests BEFORE their show has aired and often before they’ve even seen it. So there’s so much they can’t talk about- and half of why I listen is to hear how they are reacting to the public response. Makes it a lot less interesting imo.

Bublina2020Don’t turn commercialOne of my go to podcasts on consistent basis. Enjoy updates from some of the shows, even pay for +. PLEASE DO NOT ADD COMMERCIALS ANY MORE FREQUENTLY THAN YOU DO ALREADY. When there are commercials every 10-15 minutes shows become unlistenable. Many iHeart shows and Bach Nation shows are like that and it’s not worth it. Left those shows long time ago. Not coming to obliterated by commercials. I get that you have to make a living but when it’s that frequent - the show just becomes garbage.

Listening_On_The_GoGoing UphillGuests are on the upswing! Loving the 2022 refresh, moving away from the Tik Tok stars🙏😍 2025 update - sadly don’t listen to the “Ask Nick” updates anymore, it seems to be what he’s most passionate about but his perspective seems to have narrowed and his privilege and “protect men” mentality is really hard to listen to.

RecentListenerNeeds time stampsLots of good convos each episode but would love to have time stamps so I can skip stuff.

TheyHaveNoNicknamesNegativeThe only thing this podcast provides to anyone’s lives is negativity. The hosts only have on controversial guests-who most of the time do not deserve a platform- and commend them on spreading hatred and negativity. It’s not pop culture-it’s hatred. The only reason this podcast has survived is because it has guests who cause controversy. I don’t understand why we are still giving the hosts a space to spread hate….
-
BriiBriXoRambling but has good partsThe guest lineup always sounds so exciting, but it’s disappointing when they only appear in the last 15 minutes of a two-hour episode. I find myself skipping through large portions because the content leading up to the main guest often feels like filler. I wish the show would get to the point sooner and make better use of the featured guests.
-
alittlebitangieBrilliant episodes—just wish episodes were more focused!Nick’s interviewing style is outstanding, and I hugely appreciate the professional audio production—every focused, single‑topic episode pulls me right in. I often skip though when an episode packs several unrelated themes into one conversation; hunting for the part I want to hear can be tricky, so I tend to choose a different show altogether. If episodes came with a tighter topic focus, I’d listen start to finish every time I find a topic that interests me!
-
kaylaf86The voiceNick cannot read an Ad. It is so painful and fake. This 47 yr old man is also creepy how he talks about younger women. Has racist overtones. The wife on the pod interrupts everyone and acts her age ( not a compliment)
-
Canwenot?!For the love of GodGet Justin off this show. So sick of his “devils advocate”

homebird85Entertaining, but take opinions with a grain of salt. The call-ins are entertaining, for sure. However, at times the advice is a bit … immature? I don’t know if that’s the right word, but let me give some examples. There have been a few calls lately involving children/parenting. As a parent of 3 children, my parenting opinions have definitely changed over the years as my children have grown older, and as I have experienced their different personalities and needs. The advice presented reminds me of how I felt before I had children (and thought I was an expert). The most offensive being a call-in where the woman was complaining that her boyfriend hadn’t taught his 8 year old son to ride a bike yet. Somehow the conversation devolved into essentially calling children “like that” 4th grade delinquents, who will eventually grow up to do drugs because they’ve never been encouraged to do hard things. It was such a tremendous leap, and a lot of assumptions were made about both the child and the man’s parenting. Another example would be from an episode I listened to today. A woman wanted to go on a solo one-month vacation to Europe, and her boyfriend was resistant. The host said something along the lines of “Why would someone take a one month vacation alone, unless they’re planning to get laid.” This reasoning was used as justification for why her boyfriend wasn’t comfortable with her going. Like … what? Many, many people travel solo and have no intentions of hooking up. So, anyway. All that to say, while Nick often has some great advice and can help callers look at situations from a unique perspective - but not all advice is equal. Use as entertainment, sure. Consult your therapist for professional advice. :)

ELY5005Recap Love Hotel Please??Can you start recapping Love Hotel? It has ex housewives dating, which Nick always talks about wanting to watch!
-
HollsG….Big fan of the Ask Nick episodes and the changeI have to say, I’m really enjoying the change to the “Ask Nick” episodes where it’s only Nick giving the advice. It’s such a great shift. Without other voices jumping in, the focus stays entirely on Nick’s perspective—which is exactly what I’m there for. His advice is clear, grounded, and refreshingly honest. I feel like I get more out of each episode now that it’s just him. This format really works! and I hope it stays this way!
-
Kerr0838319His takes keep getting worse and worse. If you have two braincells, you’ll disagree with all of his ‘hot takes’. He speaks with such authority that you would think his opinion is fact based but it’s not. It’s also shocking that people call in for relationship advice from Nick. Are these people paid?
-
JenZ832Good but could be greatI love this podcast and I’m a Viall Files + subscriber. I appreciate that Nick isn’t afraid to go against the grain and to voice his true opinions. (Appreciate his hot take on Karen read). Ciara is the most annoying podcast host I’ve ever listened to. I can’t stand the baby voice she uses and her constant interruptions. Justin, Leah, and the rest of the gang are great additions.
-
DessssssssaWelp! So i was a huge fan of this podcast and within recent months, it’s almost become impossible to listen to Nick, which is a shame because I’m obsessed with Natalie like Natalie if she had her own show, I will listen to her every day, but her misogynistic husband who is so quick to always defend these men and bash women It’s hard to listen to. I’m sorry I’m not a huge feminist but like every single topic where he has an opportunity to even uplift a woman, he’ll bring her down, but he’ll feel so sorry for all these men like this bachelor guy that he keeps wanting to clear his name, but he bashed Paige desorbo unfortunately had to stop listening as much
-
Sger11Nick tells it how it is and i love itNick gives the best advice - it may be straight to the point but that’s what people need to hear. so many of these callers have the most wild situations and i appreciate that he takes every single one seriously by asking so many questions and really going deep into the topic with them instead of giving half baked advice we’ve all heard — he takes a good amount of time with each person and genuinely wants to help, goes into specifics when giving guidance and/or observations. I don’t listen to the reality / celeb / tv show recap episodes but i do love the caller episodes - they’re all such diff situations and people each time and it’s interesting to hear their stories and what nick thinks about it. the guy knows what he talking about & is more emotionally intelligent than most men, has the experience, knows he’s still learning too, and i’m glad he’s still consistently doing this pod and hope he keeps it going for a long time. also so happy for him and his beautiful family. saw them walking in nyc last week and they’re such good looking humans. anyway, that’s my review. xo - Samantha Gerard
-
All 2 ears1st class A-holeListening to May 12 episodes of ask Nick. Absolutely horribly condescending, judgmental, misogynistic, and rude to the first caller. I can’t believe she didn’t hang up. On this first class A-hole.
-
hbhb1919PainfulBring back Richelle.
-
listentopoogWhy does Nick care so much about Zootopia on the trampoline?I’ve listened to so many episodes since they do a great job of having guests on from the shows I watch. Cannot stand when Nick and Natalie give such strong takes when they are so uninformed about Housewives, Vanderpump and Summer House especially. They are so judgmental and annoying about it. There are plenty of shows that are shady and I’ll disagree with that are still entertaining and fun to listen to. Cannot stand these two and can’t listen any more. Also Nick sounds jealous about the Summer House guys watching a movie on the trampoline, why does he care at all it’s weird.
-
BoomGarveyI can’tListening only because I want to hear about Lexi Wood. I was quickly reminded why I stopped listening to Nick. Very condescending and still giving off those misogynistic vibes. lol
-
MovieWatcherNYC23I miss Amanda & this pod.I enjoyed this podcast for years, but why was Amanda (the most articulate and thoughtful person on here) & even Allie indirectly pushed aside for Ciarrrrra, youngins and the nepo wife that already had her own separate career? We feel the loss and miss what this podcast used to be. Now it’s adult Nick leading an army of like five very young sounding minions that just repeatedly interject GenZ buzzwords like “period” or “literally” or “truly” or “love that” or “facts!” instead of any real substance. Or should I say, entitled Natalie pushing him aside to take over as army general?
-
Amama8789Not like it wasI was a day one listener and used to religiously listen to this show. Nick’s advice was relatable and often profound. The last year or so, it has become so difficult to listen to… I get that nick and Natalie are married, but it this case… less is more. As someone who has been married for 15 years, they remind me Of a young married couple and it takes away from the validity of the conversation. It’s unfortunate. I hope changes will be made and I may return to listening
-
crazytac0Nick is a misogynistPretends to be a feminist but says some of the most horrible things to women he interviews. Stop blaming abuse victims, stop obsessing over women’s reproductive clocks while not mentioning a single thing about men and their role. Trash show, trash host. This man needs to stop being platformed.
-
tf nkoInsufferableInsufferable to listen to. The fake country accent chick on today’s episode was beyond annoying. Who are these guests??? Yikes.
-
layne hubbard5 Stars + A Tip!!Love this pod and have found myself listening more and more! Quick tip for the team - for the episodes that have anyone speaking outside of Nick, whether it is a cohost or a guest, please remember you have new listeners/fans who don’t know what’s going on so intros are needed!
-
SalkfjfugecNick let people talkNick asks questions, followed by a rant, and the questions never get answered. Or he will ask someone a 4 part question, but answers it himself? Annoying.
-
J ReddddddNatalie Joy-lessUsed to love this show, but after Joyless became a regular, it’s gone downhill. Just because your husband is the host, it doesn’t make you qualified to cohost. My husband is a lawyer, that doesn’t mean I am qualified to show up at the courthouse and work there everyday. She’s loud, rude and somehow makes every topic about her. Please take this constructive criticism into consideration. Overall the show has great guests and interesting topics & interviews, but the immature gen Z commentary is uneducated and cringe.
-
TrueKellMy favorite podcastI love this podcast. Reality recap for sure but honestly Ask Nick is my favorite. He is so insightful and I truly thing a good example of how to really objectively consider feelings and situations
-
abcjessdefgLess natalie please. It’s the Natalie show and she’s pretty insufferable. I only listen to ask Nick now.
-
BeachLover863Herpes jokes are so 1985Why making jokes about herpes? How do you think this makes people who have this feel? Hopefully you won’t face the stigma of this condition, which many have and or/don’t know they have it. It’s also very controllable with medicine. “Wow, let’s make fun of HIV next, how fun!” Lets act like we are much better than others! …You’re not. You knocked up a fan girl about 20 years younger than you. 🙄 Humility would suit you both.
-
ListenerLuv222Men Have a Biological Clock bestiesMEN HAVE A BIOLOGICAL CLOCK. It's misogynistic and incorrect to repeatedly mention women's "clock" while not mentioning men's. Advanced paternal age is linked to miscarriage, autism, preeclampsia etc. Plzzzz update your views on fertility and ageist views to reflect scientific reality.
-
ABal127Thank you!Props to Nick Viall for having Elizabeth Wagmeister on. She is a a voice to the countless women who’ve been sexually assaulted and felt unable to come forward. Your work gives a voice to the silenced and strength to the survivors. Conversations like these matter.
-
shellweddleAlways loved.. but..We are bleeping now? When did this start?
-
ANCDHXXInsufferableA bunch of very unintelligent people. Nick is a misogynist disguised as a feminist. He is not that bright and has no business giving advice to anyone. He’s a forty something year old man who married a 20 year old that apparently cheats on him. Breaking point was him saying the woman in white lotus who didn’t drop everything to help the man was the main villain this season. ARE YOU JOKING😅😭 it’s this woman’s fault this grown man shot someone because she had an appointment and couldn’t drop everything for him? That is some crazy incel logic right there. He always sides with the poor, fragile, pathetic men but this take was truly comical. You are a joke. Side note, why are you people bragging about being a Karen and harassing low paid customer service workers? Embarrassing.
-
aynaripmNick is the biggest idiot everI’ve never heard a more appalling and idiotic relationship-talk host. He’s clearly misogynistic and will defend men’s suspicious behaviors forever. Probably because he’s a groomer and he himself has made questionable choices. Let people speak for once, Nick. Let women explain their situation without immediately jumping to the defense of a toxic man you’ve never met. Or at least PRETEND to be biased?
-
amandaswhiteNick has Gen Z-ers doing all his work…This show gets guests to come on but honestly, it doesn’t feel like this man in his mid40s even cares about most of the things he talks about. He has a group of people who are about 20 years his junior doing all the work for him and then butts in to put his 2 cents in. I think his team is amazing though and love their viewpoints. I know the show is named after him but sometimes I wish he would just let them talk and take a backseat.
-
CEverett1214Long time fanI’ve been a long time fan of the pod. I love the hot topics and reality recaps. I do think Nick needs the ladies there to keep him in check though. The Ask Nick episodes have gotten really rough. Do we need an over 2 hour episode on him telling 3 female callers they are dumb? Most of those callers seem planted these days as well.
-
MMamacitaa🙄Nick needs to take his platform back. It really has become the Natalie show. It’s quite a shame…
-
erinnn bReminded of why I stopped listeningI used to listen religiously and just started to again after about a year off. The most recent Ask Nick was so weird. He barely let the first caller talk and wasn’t addressing her original question. He just kept talking about himself and then told her people don’t like her? It was so uncomfortable and weird and didn’t seem helpful at all.
-
Asisst09Listen for the interviewsThis can be a very frustrating podcast to listen to sometimes. I really enjoy the exclusive interviews his podcast gets and he does keep his interviewees honest, and points out any holes or inconsistencies in their stories. He generally doesn’t pander to guests, and gets pretty great info and perspectives from them. Now for my gripes, Nick really does think he is right ALL THE TIME. It’s like he went to therapy and is now the authority on right and wrong. He feels so empowered by his therapy journey that he is qualified to share his findings with his guests, his callers, and his cohosts. If his cohosts express an opposite opinion than him, he will talk over them until they wind up conceding with “fair”, or “I see your point”, just to end the conversation and move on from that topic. You’ll notice Natalie often will step in to soften what he’s saying or explain his feelings because they often have a similar opinion. Why ask other co-hosts to share their opinion only to essentially force them to backtrack so that your opinion supersedes everyone else’s? Why have co-hosts at all? He also tends to side with men who are in the wrong because he’s been vilified by the media and wants people to empathize with them. Listen, normal people who watch these shows do realize that people mess up and make stupid decisions on camera, you don’t need to empathize with every man having a tough time on reality tv. They’ll probably be okay and have a good edit the next season. Female fan bases seem to forget the misgivings of men and internalize misogyny that makes them hate the women on these shows. So have your opinions on whomever you think is truly right vs. wrong, but be cognizant of how you put down woman to apologize for men’s behavior.
-
anbejeGet a grip nickNick can be so egotistical it’s insane. Not even that, sometimes his advice is just so off based and wrong but he thinks he knows it all. What even credentials do you even have? None. I love this latest ask nick where two of the guests disagree with him. You are so off base to say that girl has no right to be upset that her bf went after a job that she was interviewing for. Are you okay? What planet are you even on? Please get a grip and look at your own relationship before you try and play god.
-
Hflom11Meh the more I listen the the more I’m turned away.I love advice podcasts. At first I thought I finally found one that was interesting enough to listen to. However, After listening for a few months I’m realizing how Nick’s approach to men is MUCH different than how he approaches women. It’s the pathetic validation to all the men’s feelings but then turning around and throwing women’s feelings in their face. I think Nick had potential for an interesting podcast.. Ask Nick is just not giving what he thinks it is.
-
lalala154Last episodeThe last episode got me a little upset when Nick was annoyed at katie bringing up white man privilege for Clayton. He aired out two women’s sexual history on tv, broke up w/ them at the same time then went on to have a successful career & maintained his fame. That is LITERALLY privilege. That doesn’t happen for everyone. I’m gonna assume Nick was a little triggered bc he probably gets this comment a lot personally.
-
brishkaaAsk NickOne of my most listened to pods, especially the ask Nick episodes. Nick always has a perspective that is interesting and straightforward, but often unexpected.
-
VRawlesKatie's comments on ClaytonHorrible and so hypocritical . Please do not have her on again . For her to say because he's a white, straight male that his feelings don't matter and he should just take it because he will always "win" is wrong and ignorant on so many levels . She completely disregarded the importance of his mental health as a human being. I've followed Clayton's story for a long time and he has struggled immensely, she shouldn't speak on things she's knows nothing about. I've lost the little respect I had left for her . Thank you for trying to put things back into perspective a bit.
-
Wileygirl1Turned offOkay. Katie’s take on white men deserving hate just because they are white men is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Please never have her on again. Love Natalie tho!!!
-
irlandm1234!PLS PUT TIME Stamps
-
11774839201026Katie is miserableKatie’s presence on you podcast today was actually infuriating. She’s so mean, negative, and miserable. The conversation about Clayton was absolutely ridiculous on her part and for her to claim that any white man deserves criticism and no grace is actually so embarrassing. Thank you Nick for being rational and pointing out her drastic statements and hypocrisy. Please don’t have her on again I literally hate that she has a platform to spew intolerance and cruelty.
-
TAG11111993Last episode was rough.Listen, your views and lean towards liberalism is rough to listen to at times, but I can still enjoy your show. This latest episode with Katie and Dana was impossible to listen to. I unfollowed their show shortly after following because their toxic liberal views are insufferable and they just brought it onto this episode. Truly, break ties with them. Spreading that toxicity, putting down men-it’s out of line. Leave men alone. I have a son and I am disgusted to hear women talk about men in general like that.
