WhateverawSo this is ChristmasThank you for your sharing. I was just talking to God before I listened to your podcast this morning and telling him how very joyful I am about Christmas how disappointed I am and the wars and how people behave and just the world we live in. I kind of want out I’m impatient for him to come downright cynical and mad. I'm tired of trying every year to feel joyful to really try to warm up and since reaction to the birth of the savior, the emotions aren't there this year other than the sadness so thank you because sometimes it's nice to know other people feel this too. Shalom and thank you, Jim.

Repenting_BoomerSmaller Me, Bigger GodOver the past several years, I’ve been going through many perspective shifts. Part of this has involved my growing awareness of how my thinking had been anthropocentric, utilitarian and dualistic. It has meant so much to allow highly-educated, deeply committed believers on this podcast guide my opening of heart to how connected we (human and other-than-human) beings are, and has allowed my view of God to expand.

drlarrytaylorOpen your mind, open your heartFor those with open minds, for those with enough humility to admit they might have something to learn, for those unafraid to challenge the standard group-think, and for those either exploring or committed to the Christian faith, this podcast is a gem.

Adam7389FantasticSuch great, thoughtful, rational conversations at the intersection of faith and science!

Charlie’s MomIntersection of Faith and ScienceI love how so many science topics are approached from a faith-filled perspective. I get tired of people of faith who don’t use their brains and thus really appreciate this show for introducing me to multiple authors and scientists who happen to also be Christian. Instead of approaching topics from an either-or perspective, they have shown how understanding science can actually deepen your faith and awe and love for God. As I learn more and more about our world, I have a greater appreciation for the creativity of God. God gave us amazing brains and the hosts and guests of BioLogos use them for good!
-
dbdietzA light for the way forwardThis podcast helped me walk through years of seminary navigating how to integrate what I was learning with my deep love of science. I was a pastor for a couple years and now I’m a public high school biology teacher! Thanks to you all, I feel equipped to navigate both worlds.
-
acsakanRefreshing and EncouragingThis podcast not only welcomes honest questions and wrestling with my faith in light of modern science, but has shown me that science can lead to an even deeper joy in the patience and creativity of God.
-
KriselaniFaith and science go togetherThis podcast shows how science and faith done have to be enemies. I always say God made science. We don’t have to be afraid of it. We can worship God by caring for this world He created and at least trying to understand all its mysteries with science.

Rachel S72Informative & FaithfulThe Biologos podcast skillfully brings together truth from the book of Scripture and the book of nature, equipping followers of Jesus to love our neighbors and live as faithful stewards of God‘s creation.
-
JsdarnoldThoughtful, Clear-Sighted InquiryThis podcast has been a breath of fresh air for me, and a delightful jumping off point for my children in discussing the beauty and joy and pain and tragedy of creation, and our place in it. I am so deeply grateful for Biologos and for this podcast.
-
James skilotFaithful and intelligentThe many episodes I have listened to are well researched, produced with professionalism, interesting and inspirational. Thank you to the team for producing content that further exposes the glory of God as He is showing humanity through general revelation, and remaining faithful to the special revelation of scripture that gives us the story of God and man’s redemption. Keep it up!

rcamp0222The Lowest Possible View of ScriptureIf I had the lowest possible view of scripture as Biologos I would no longer be a believer. Basically it would mean nothing or more accurately whatever you wanted it to mean, which is meaningless.
-
DjbedhcaHow sadIt is such a tragedy that you have turned an informative and important podcast into a cry fest for doomers. You are blind to the other side of the coin. Like most academics and conventional wisdom lemmings, you repeat the pessimistic and hopeless state that you believe humans have done to the world. The world doesn’t need more doomers repeating each others’ talking points. The world needs optimism based on wisdom. Im officially done with your podcast. Goodbye.

HitTheSnoozeNot my favoriteThis podcast can be a bit dry, but of course that’s just personal preference. However, I’m surprised no one has commented on the host’s voice and the way he talks. When I first started listening, I actually thought he was joking… but I quickly realized it was his actual voice. It’s very distracting and hard to get past.

ArgaletamAn anchor for my faithBiologos has been an anchor for my faith as I’ve left the mental bubble of young earth cognitive dissonance. It’s interesting and educational and leaves me excited about science rather than wary of it.
-
megljFaith and science can coexist. So helpful to have resources like this. So many interesting topics, and I’m always learning something new.
-
SusanRachel36330Fantastic supportBiologos was absolutely critical for supporting me in a journey merging faith and science. I felt so alone before I found biologos. I was amazed to find out only that there were one or two other people who thought like me, but there are thousands.
-
drjptaylorHelpful resourceThese discussions have been critical for my journey in merging the faith I’ve grown up in, with the science I’ve been trained in. If you’re new to the topic, it’s also helpful to read Francis Collins’ book, for which the podcast is named.

all engineers lack empathyLanguage of GodExcellent podcast. I learn so much.
-
jctyroneLove It!I’m a big believer in the value of scientific exploration and a big believer in the one true creator God of the universe. Language of God helps me see how these are not in conflict. It helps me appreciate how science reveals the majesty of God and reinforces my belief that science, along with the rest of creation, is a gift from God.

AKGuerreroGreat and Thoughtful PodcastAlways has very knowledgeable guests that span a variety of interesting issues and how such issues are impacting and impacted by Christianity.
-
PapaJaggersLanguage of GodI look forward to this podcast coming out every Thursday. There is a great mix of science, faith, etc. The host Jim Stump always has good questions and is gracious with his dialogue. They usually have well known scientists, pastors or theologians. Highly recommend it.
-
jhdillerEducational and thoughtfulGreat podcast to educate yourself about current science, the environment, and Christian thought. Thoughtful interaction between host and guests. Well produced. Enjoyable and interesting.

_Hammer_RJourney of DiscoveryBiologos and the Language of God podcast have renewed my passion for truth and discovery. Having grown up in a conservative Christian household, attended church based on “Wesleyan-Holiness” tradition, and attended a faith-based university, I had chosen the path of least resistance and simply quick asking questions about human origin. I compartmentalized my belief in, and relationship with Jesus as wholly separate from what I knew of science and biology. I have gained additional confidence in my faith by listening to Jim’s conversations with scientists who struggled with the same questions and persevered to develop higher levels of awe and wonder at the immense power and greatness of our God and his creation. It’s okay to have questions. It’s okay to be both a scientist and a Christian. I wish I’d recognized much sooner that this is the false dilemma.

SpencanoeA Wonderful PodcastI have been listening for about 9 months. These conversations are thoughtful, kind, and encouraging. I like the variety of voices , thought and experience. My faith is regularly challenged but in a gentle way, that I appreciate. Thank you for all the work you do.

(anonymous reviewer 9)Must ListenI recommend this to everyone. So awesome and uplifting and educational.
-
ZizzleDopAmazing podcastListening to this podcast has benefited me tremendously as someone who is both a follower of Jesus and a biologist-in-progress. Many of the guests have similar faith stories as I do, and listening has shown me that I’m not alone in my experiences, and that I don’t have to choose between my religious beliefs and my commitment to rigorous science.
-
noahlovesyouAmazing and important showAlways has excellent guests and important topics, highly recommend for all Christians, regardless of denomination, as well as anyone interested in asking big questions about life and science.
-
Reggie6119Getting to PoliticalI used to be a listener for the science and faith discussions, but in my opinion, the last several episodes have strayed too far into political issues of the day. Hopefully they’ll course correct at some point.
-
mrs. shadowsIf you’re skeptical, give this a listenThoughtful discussions about hot button topics concerning science and faith, look no further! Give this podcast a try if you are a science person but have questions about what Christianity has to offer.

Bart RangerWhat an awesome podcastI started listening to the Language of God podcast over the course of the pandemic because I was looking to make a sense of what was going on. While it would be a stretch to say the podcast provided all the answers to my deep questions, it certainly has opened my eyes to the the great work that Christian scientists and academics are doing. I’m encouraged to know that in the midst of our despair over the hyper partisanship that seems to characterize public discourse, God has reserved for himself a breed of people who, through a reasoned approach to some of the toughest questions of the day, are seeking to bridge the divide. Please keep up the good work!

Takeitfromme0001Much needed needs redirected criticismThis podcast is very much needed among American Christian circles today. It is honest and a perfect example of open conversation, a proper direction for developing a Christ-like spirit amidst a plethora of divisive issues. The host and many guests demonstrate an unparalleled candor in these debates. However, I would say the conversations do not address the divisions and disagreements in the scientific realm enough, especially in regard to Evolutionary theory. Nature put this debate front and center a few years ago, could it not be a part of the conversation here, not to shed doubt on the obviousness of the age of the earth, but to remind us that scientific endeavor is not stagnate in evolutionary biology as it is in every other field.

GenaCassyEmbracing Evolution and Faith/TheologyThis podcast is one of my favorite ever. I am grateful for the host and the guest who helps the listeners embrace nuances and complexities in science and religion. In a world that tries so hard to discourage us fr embracing the validity of science as well as God and religion, this community helps the listener to explore that truth. The prevailing idea is listen to others well; don’t feel the need to reason everything away; science and religion aren’t exclusively opposite or dismissive of the other. You can be spiritual and still live and appreciate science. I am appreciative.
-
N. M. BunceThoughtful, honest, and encouragingThis podcast gives me hope for the future of Christianity. Few others out there do such a good job engaging with a wide range of viewpoints with such compassion - while still maintaining intellectual rigor.
-
ArielleSalseAmazingI’m so grateful for this podcast! I love the compelling ideas, the gracious approach to dialogue, and the redeeming work they’re doing in the science / faith divide that has been made here in the states. I’d recommend to anyone! It’s individuals like those at BioLogos who have helped my faith endure in seasons of doubt.

duenorth_adventureWonderful Podcast!I am incredibly grateful to have discovered this podcast! I have a longstanding love for the natural sciences and outdoor adventures, but since having my son a year and a half ago, I’ve worried about having the right answers to his big questions that will come as he grows. Since listening to this podcast, I have become more confident that we will be able to have open theological conversations that only enhance our love for the natural world, rather than oppose its history. Thank you!!
-
jswarstadThoughtful and thought-provokingThis show has meant so much to me as a committed Christian who also spends a lot of time thinking about the world from a questioning, scientific perspective (and who also often feels like that perspective isn't all that welcome in some parts of the church). Jim is an excellent interviewer; he brings out the best in his conversations while also gently pushing his guests to respond to challenges. Thoughtful, thought-provoking, and highly recommended for anyone who wants to engage with faith and science.

jamillwood77Great Podcast!I’m so grateful for this podcast! It’s helped me so much with my understanding of faith and science and the blending of both. Thank you!

Corey LambrechtToo esoteric. Finally unsubscribed after today’s podcast (10-8-20). This podcast has so much potential however it is too esoteric for most people. Today’s podcast was dry, boring, and uninteresting. There are plenty of other podcasts out there that the listener can better understand and apply in modern conversations.

SareLennSo so goodI’m so grateful that I stumbled upon this podcast. Finding a place where Christians are free to discuss science, biblical interpretation, and moral issues is so important. I believe the BioLogos perspective will be integral in christians having any sort of influence in the intellectual arena, so keep up the amazing work!

Ms. Mutch HS Math TeacherRefreshingThis podcast has been a breath of fresh air for me. It skillfully blends science and faith in a way that does not devalue either topic. I finally feel like I can believe the Bible and science without holding contradictions in my mind.
-
Gushy muscatHungry for moreFinally a place where spiritual issues are discussed openly and where science is not anathema to religion. Thank you!
-
geo2go4GeneralLove these podcasts! Just started listening but one technical observation. The host is consistently louder than the guests and it makes it hard to listen

CubbbbbbbLovingAll apart of BioLogos are so loving and charitable! It is very refreshing!

Plemons1071One of my go-to resourcesI love the Language of God podcast. I can always count on the show to bring interesting topics at the intersection of science and Christianity. The producers take God and the Bible seriously while simultaneously taking science seriously. Yet they approach both with hard questions. I regularly recommend to the college students I work with who are trying to reconcile science and faith.
-
StridingListnerThoughtfulI appreciate the thoughtful and meaningful topics and discussions in the podcast. The respect given to guest during interviews. I enjoy reflecting on and learning from the podcast topics.

Mississippi CountryGracious DialogueLanguage of God has been a god-send for me. I grew up in a very literal, fundamentalist setting and was often taught that most modern science is incorrect or, at times, deceptive. I even recall a conversation I had with an elder of mine in which I was told that modern science is a ploy used by satan to confuse the church. Suffice to say, I had a crisis in faith once I familiarized myself with the scientific literature and exactly how well informed it is. I have had many restless nights as I tried to grapple with my own faith. I came to peace with many things: first, by accepting Big Bang cosmology, then by accepting the earth is more than 10,000-years-old. One-by-one, my worldview began to make sense, but I couldn’t get past one thing: evolution. Evolution had been the original crisis point for me. It was always the main point of contention in my style of faith. I recall a particular moment in time where I thought if there was even a degree of truth to evolution, God wasn’t real. This was the way I was trained to think, because evolution was deemed to point towards an entirely natural process that eliminated God entirely. I now understand how that falls under the genetic fallacy, but at the time, I was ready to throw away all faith because I felt as though I had been coerced into believing lies from my religious leaders. I remember just how bleak and helpless I felt. I was taught that these things were deception, but now I had to face the reality that everything I had put my trust into was the true deception. There was no God and no eternal life, just pitiless indifference in a world that wanted me gone. It was a harsh reality but one I had to accept if I was going to be consistent with what I knew, or so I thought. Enter BioLogos. I still remember the first time I heard of BioLogos and that they accepted an evolutionary worldview. I thought they were pseudoscience at best because they claimed God and evolution were not only compatible, but complimentary. Little did I realize these were serious scientists that took God and Scripture seriously. When the Language or God podcast came about, I remember being curious but not curious enough to entertain God and evolution in the same world. But after a few weeks, it came up in my recommended feed again and I was just curious enough that day to give it a listen. It was Francis Collins, the National Institute of Health leader who was a faithful Christian and had been for many decades. Not only that, but he was also the founder of BioLogos. This got my attention because this is a serious voice in the scientific world, so maybe I should consider what he has to say. I listened to his two-part story with invigorating interest. I was supposed to be at church with my wife, but I was out for a drive instead because I just couldn’t take anymore sitting under the voice of some deluded preacher. I still struggle in my faith to this day, but finally, I realized science and faith compliment one another in a way that I couldn’t have ever expected. I am still searching for what this all might be about, but BioLogos has been the one voice that has kept me from cutting it all off. I would like to end my review by personally thanking BioLogos and Francis Collins in particular as they are the reason I still entertain the existence of God. Thank you for being faithful Christians while also being serious scientists. There’s no telling how many people like me you have helped. Continue doing what you’re doing and I will continue listening and supporting and promoting in every way that I can.

abelina_rosieInsightful ConversationsI have listened to every episode of Language of God eagerly since I found it about 6 months ago! Each conversation challenges me to rethink my own conceptions of God and faith and confront the ways I try to simplify mystery for my own comfort. And inevitably, every podcast episode fills my heart with praise and worship for our God! What a refreshing podcast, full of humility, gentleness, and openness to differing perspectives! I'm thankful for the work BioLogos is doing through this podcast!
