Among the better RPG interview shows out there. Craig sets a comfortable and inviting tone, and that gets good answers out of his guests. Listen to it.

Miss the faux content :(

This podcast has an amazing selection of interesting tabletop RPG designers and Craig gets them to open up about their process in ways that I haven’t heard these creators do in other interviews. Truly excellent interviews!

Craig does a great job with bringing people in and discussing the best tabletop game Malifaux. His insider episodes are a great listen and the RPG play has helped me find a new passion. Great Job TFW! Keep it up!

Overall, this podcast is very good. Informative, usually a good format (too many ads, but that keeps the lights on, so no biggie) and focused. I’m more interested in game content than some of their side episodes, but the quality is still there, and that’s just a preference thing- they’re all well worth listening to. That said, the one thing I’m docking a star for is that the main host is VERY opinionated when it comes to other games, factions, etc. We get it- you hate Arcanists, you’re down on Games Workshop, Malifaux is the most perfect game there’s ever been and all others are mere pretenders, etc. The editorializing comes across sometimes as just a bit much- it’s ok for other people to like stuff you don’t. I still come back every week happily, and would recommend the podcast to anybody who likes Malifaux, but I for one would up my rating to 5 stars immediately if some of that snark could fall by the wayside.

If you’re looking for a podcast about Malifaux, you aren’t going to find one much more informative than this. Even if you’re not a player, the episodes are really interesting and entertaining. They also have episodes about other games, but where they really shine for me is the conversation that’s about life as a gamer - being in a relationship with one, or perhaps raising gamer kids. The stumbling block for the show - and it’s been a big one - is when the host decides to be overtly negative about a game he doesn’t enjoy. Perhaps I take it personally because it is sometimes a game I enjoy, but simply from the perspective as a listener, it seems unnecessary and even petty. It’s okay to disagree with the policies of the company, but if you’re calling another game bad or dumb, to me that negatively impacts how seriously I take the speaker. All in all, a pretty good podcast, and worth trying out for gamers of all types.

This is the worst thing I have ever heard .. wanted to die after hearing this .. absolutely embarrassing that grown humans think this could be their job .... also I’m guessing they have 20 listeners who must be equally as gross ...

If you like Malifaux and want the best insight into the game you can not do better than listening to Ray and Craig on Third Floor Wars.

The host always has a great list of questions that helps his guests (who so far are all proven top notch players) to share their experience in ways that are easy to understand at all skill levels. Very professional, informative, and entertaining!

Craig and Ray are really dedicated to producing a high-quality podcast, and it definitely shows. The deep dives are gold mines of tactical and strategic information from top players, and the commentary and observation from all the guests are top-notch. Highly recommended!
