wendy in wonderland🥱Most boring podcast I’ve ever listened to.

@wesvanhoogmoedEpisode 10👎🏻👎🏻 for the guest Heather on episode 10 she turned me off to her podcast but definitely 5 stars for this podcast !
-
LAswampwriterJust what I was seekingThis is the best podcast on doing witchcraft that I have heard over the past year. Wish I would have found it sooner. Thank you.

hellokitty2501Mental Illness failThe podcast on mental health and witchcraft was ridiculous. They spent 15 minutes at the beginning telling me to take my meds. Very bold to assume so many witch’s don’t take our meds responsibly. It made me wonder if this podcast isn’t just another person, place or institution which judges people people with mental health issues, everyone at this point. Don’t patronize us to take our meds. Did you brush your teeth this morning? Well ok.

ashleybrayThis podcast was my gateway to Wicca! When I first became interested in Wicca, this podcast was my first resource and I’m so grateful I found it. I’ve seen some other reviews complaining about Ashley and others talking too much about themselves but, that’s the point of podcasting, and we’re here for Ashley’s perspective as a practicing witch. I really appreciate what this podcast has done for beginners like me, it’s really helped me understand the religion more.

aaskajaEarly episodes are good buuut….I’m in the group of people who are all caught up, and not really feeling it anymore. It was good and informative at the start. And I liked the 30 minutes range. Now there’s been too many hour or longer episodes that just seem really unimportant and redundant upon themselves through the episode. And it’s been so hard to listen to them. It may be time to put the mic away and focus on the non- podcast parts of life? The newer episodes just don’t grasp quite the same way earlier episodes did. I needed up unsubscribing because I wasn’t really listening anymore, and haven’t in months.

ICFANTWGood but getting kind of annoyingI liked this podcast coming into witchcraft as a beginner. I will say there were a few episodes that I listened to recently I ended up just shutting off. They came across really odd. One was about how you should go to a movie or suggesting (almost lecturing) about how you should do very normal things that most people know to do instead of focusing your entire life on witchcraft. It was a strange topic (and it went on the entire episode) for a podcast for learning about witchcraft. The next episode I listened to was about the host and their guest lecturing people about taking meds. I know that’s important but again it was a lecture about how you should take care of your mental health and it seemed very irrelevant and obvious and I shut that podcast off too

sarah.lynne.bellIt’s okUsed to love this podcast, but now it seems like the focus has gone to only talking about themselves. I understand saying your perspective in order to relate to people, but let’s talk more about the actual craft. Also, the new host is full of amazing knowledge, really like what they have to share, however, pleeeeeaaaaase try speaking with a bit more excitement. It’s an exciting topic but it feels like Ben Stein from the visene advertisements is telling me about witchcraft

i like cake so read thisGood podcastI would suggest it these things are true from other sources and I really think it would help beginners and helps understanding more about it

Valerie883NewbieBeing a newbie to all things witchy, this podcast is perfect! Ashley does a great job explaining things in simple terms and she has planted seeds that we can now nurture and grow. Thank you!! 🌿🍄✨🌕🧿⚱️🪬🗡

a_dawn80Great listen!Great listen!

MichaelahWLove and would like to hear it more regularlyI really like this podcast - a lot of great information. Ashley conducts great interviews and seems like a generally fun person. I only wish that the episodes came out more consistently. It seems like at times they’ll come out two weeks in a row, and then months will go by before the next one. However, I understand there are costs to producing a podcast and she’s doing it for free, aside from Patreon subscribers. I think there would be a bigger community and more support if it came out on a consistent schedule though.

witchywoman123Amazing Podcast for Beginners, Absolutely Recommend to EVERYONE!Ashley does an AMAZING job in breaking down beginner information on different topics in Witchcraft and Wicca. It's super easy to understand, the episodes are quick to listen to, and it sounds and feels like I'm catching up with an old friend while learning a whole lot of information on how to become a witch. While the majority of her background is coven-based, she is VERY upfront about any potential biases she may have and is very reassuring to beginners to say to do what works best for them, while providing guidance from her own first-hand experience. It's been an absolute pleasure to learn along with Ashley, while she also tells us about her own personal path, as she was initiated into a coven while recording these episodes. You can hear the growth in the show from episode 1 up until the newest episode and it makes me feel like I'm learning and growing with a friend. I also love all of the guests she has on the show. She's also very receptive to offering listener-suggestions for topics on future episodes. If it's about a topic she doesn't know much about, she'll do her homework to learn and also find an expert to bring onto the show to talk about the topic. How cool is that?? It makes me feel like I'm part of something bigger than myself, and I love that the host is so down-to-earth. Thank you, Ashley, for creating such a wonderful show! Keep up the great work!
-
OtherlleftAll about the hostNo matter the topic or the guests, the topic inexorably turned back to talking about the show host. We learn all about how terribly world and sophisticated a host we have here. At least four of every five words spoken is by the host, about the host. One really worldly moment comes in October, 2021, when the host opines that people who rely on public transportation probably aren't worthy of learning witchcraft.
-
Janeb1711Ok for young wanna be wiccansI tried a few episodes. It’s from the Wiccan perspective, so not for me. Then, there’s all the giggling, it seems like she giggles after every third word or so, annoying.

slacker1224Why people don’t like witchesI’ve been a Wiccan who practices witchcraft for over a decade. This show makes me feel horrible about being a witch and reminds me why a lot of people don’t like witches. Though this is a very well researched and enjoyable show to listen to I find myself feeling as if Ashley feels she is better then all other witches because her and her social circle because they practice Gardenarian witchcraft. News flash Ashley and gang, witchcraft didn’t start or end with Gerald Gardener. You’re Eurocentric podcast leaves out so many other groups of people who practice witchcraft. You gatekeeper witchery for only those like you and it is clear in your voice you have a disdain for anyone who doesn’t agree with your brand of witch craft. Be better. Be inclusive of all.
-
Cosmo BVery disappointedthe recent episode regarding the introduction into chaos magic was a huge let down. “If you haven’t done the binding spell from the craft, you are NOT A REAL WITCH?” Gatekeeping witchcraft in a beginners witchcraft podcast is not cool in my book. Also, stop with the gardnerian witches… not everyone, let alone beginners, wants to learn about Wicca…

rainbowfluoriteThank youJust recently started diving into this realm and I can’t thank you enough for this podcast. I feel so at peace and inspired listening.

In2JassiGreat content! Terrible audio!I love this podcast. For the love of Hecate please tell me where I can send you money to get a microphone. My ears hurt in some episode because the audio is pretty bad. The content itself is so good, but my ears bleed because of the audio on some (not all) the episodes! I am willing to send you money to get you a better mic please!
-
graveszombieThank you Ashley!I am new to Wicca and witchcraft and I don’t have anyone in my life to learn from. Thank you for taking your time to be that person for me through this podcast you created! 💕
-
LuxnirPhenomenalCan anything else be said about what Ashley is doing here? It’s probably an understatement.
-
txmedic4Highly recommendI’m a baby witch and stumbled upon this podcast, thankfully. Ashley seems very down to earth and breaks down things so it is easy for me to understand. One of the highlights of my day is to listen to this podcast and learn all I can. I’ve listened to many different ones in regards to witchy things and hers, by far, offers the best topics and information. Highly recommend!!

keliz@bethLove love love!I recently started listening to this podcast because about 1 month ago I started my journey with Wicca/Witchcraft. I’ve read quite a few books, joined fb groups, and purchased lots of magickal tools. I find this podcast has really helped me to understand the basics of it all. Listening to this podcast brings me comfort and I’m so glad I was introduced to it 💜✨🔮🌙

Barstow75Love!Awesome More episodes please! ✨Blessed Be!✨

Agnes HarknessDecent amount of info and great guests, albeit biased hostThere is some really good information, some fun conversations with interesting guests and lots of insights for someone interested in establishing a foundation for Wiccan practice. That being said, there is a strong bias that increases as the episodes go on. For a practice that really celebrates a belief that each individual should do what feels correct for them, Ashley really heavily hints that those who don’t do it her way (or pronounce athame how she does!!) are wrong.
-
corapriceGood for new witchesSuper helpful as someone who is new to witchcraft and just want to learn things the right way. You seem like a very kind and smart person and your voice is really calming.
-
siobhan0945Love this podcast!I came across this by chance just as I was deciding to dedicate more time to the craft. Hint taken, so informative and entertaining!
-
Kokomo38Great SummaryI have dabbled with witchcraft for a few years now but would usually become discouraged in finding my path. There’s just SO much information out there, it’s easy to get lost. I am really happy to have found this podcast because each episode is broken down into really basic topics l, easy to understand, and not at all overwhelming.
-
MileyspinkpitsLove this podcastI’ve started my journey in witchcraft about a year ago and this podcast has been incredibly insightful and helpful. It’s so nice to get information from honest people and not just blog posts online. I’m not even Wiccan but learning about those beliefs and relating them to my own craft have been a great experience!!
-
Giglia 08Great podcast for someone interested in witchcraftJust starting my journey 🖤🖤 this is a great starting point . Lots of helpful information and a great place to help you get started in your witchy life . 🐈⬛
-
foevarichI’m just startingI’m just starting in my journey as I have been drawn and intrigued to witchcraft and there seems to be a lot of information and this is a way shown to be where to start

jll1280I’m learning so muchI am new to Wicca/Witchcraft and I have learned quite a bit since I’ve started listening. The conversations and resources are invaluable. Very happy to have found this podcast!
-
classicxrockLove itI have been listening to this podcast for over a year and I look forward to its weekly episodes. Ashley has done a great job and I really love the information she goes over. I like how she has a bunch of people co host episodes and they give their back stories, views and their opinions on witchcraft. I know some of the things they have spoken about might not sit right with people, but it’s ok to have varying opinions and this podcast gives us the opportunity to hear those opinions and allows those who also believe those things to not feel so alone. We all have varying traditions and experiences, and allowing all opinions to be heard is refreshing instead of fear of making someone mad because they don’t agree. Especially the Bonus Mabon which is the most recent one.
-
sativapixelsThank You!I sincerely appreciate you both going over the lulles and pauses. I have a hard time having time for the craft. And yes I am very guilty of being an arm chair witch... I am a neophyte witch. I don’t know who I am and or what all calls to me... I am learning so much sometimes I get very overwhelmed. And other times I am so tired I don’t know what todo with what I have learned... I constantly find myself going back into my books and notebooks and keep diving... I feel like I am going about it wrong... Again Thank You!
-
AzaizallSuch a great podcast!Been following this podcast since the beginning and I love all the information that she brings to the table and such amazing guests!!!
-
forest luner witchLove thisI am on the episode with Jason he is talking about living across from a government building. There actually plenty of witches in the military and practicing veterans. A cool episode idea.
-
zeldaswannFeelings On PointYour podcast makes me feel great! You are an excellent conversationalist and so eloquent at normalizing Wicca and paganism. Thanks for being true to yourself and allow your energy to flow. You’re an inspiration!
-
Briana41986PassThe baby witch episode lost me. I don’t care for the term myself, but I also don’t let terminology that others want to use bother me. You can say “no judgement if you identify this way” all you want, but that doesn’t negate the judgement every single person on this episode expressed. It is simply a word. If YOU put feelings and meaning on that, that’s on you, not the person using it.
-
Tashii27Good podcast butIt’s a good listen but I don’t really appreciate how she commends herself for answering all her DMs when I have never received a response from her.
-
bdjzfQuestionIs there an episode about the misuse, appropriation, commodification and exploitation of palo santo, certain kinds of sage, and “smudges?” Particularly since advice is being given, so as to practice ethical, decolonized witchcraft? 🧐 Perhaps defining traditions for others rather than allowing others to speak themselves is problematic. Also, the “Indian” tribe whose name you didn’t bother to learn presumably isn’t *your* ancestor... 😬
-
vegan.doll.steak.🐀🐁😿AAAAaaaaaaaai like it but a bit too traditional and, Justin "attacking" Harmony Nice was a bit annoying tho,,, i'm pretty sure she studied for 8 ish years before writing the book. and i think her beliefs are a different from more traditional wicca/ witchcraft especially in deities which i really like.
-
ltzk8yfCool 💕✨🧙🏼♀️I’m a witch and my parents don’t accept it, but I really love this podcast because it makes me feel better about starting my craft 😁
-
katiehastoomanyplantsandcatsFor beginnersI learned a lot from this. I really appreciate it!!!
-
madisonesphaltSo comfortable and welcoming!I just started into my journey of Wicca and Witchcraft. I have already purchased some of the recommended books! She makes me feel super welcome to her knowledge and had helped to ease some of my anxieties. Thank you so much!
