I was looking for a podcast that would bring me hope, comfort, and challenge me. I’m so glad I found Monica’s podcast. I am at a point in my parenting journey with so many questions and challenges. I look up to Monica as she is a few seasons ahead of me. She has already graduated several of her children successfully from her homeschool (who have gone on to college and successful careers.) I love that she and her husband are a team and are both hands-on in their intentional parenting approach. To boot, they live in Hawaii which always makes her anecdotes more interesting to me.

As a mom of two boys, I’m always so thankful for the practical wisdom Monica shares. As a mom of two competitive surfers, the insight into parenting children through the highs and lows of sports has been incredibly helpful. Love this podcast so much! The only thing I would recommend is to mute your mic when doing an interview because the only thing stopping me from listening more often is the “mhm” or humming response throughout the whole episode. I don’t mean this to be mean at all, just constructive!

There are not many emails I look forward to, or even actually read, but Monica’s sure is one of them! Maybe it’s because we have a shared love for Hawaii, Jesus, and homeschooling… but even more so is her wisdom regarding intentional parenting. I’ve been following Monica and the Swanson family since 2019 when I read Boy Mom as a struggling mom with a newly adopted son. Super helpful and profoundly shaped my parenting. Loved reading Raising Amazing as well! This podcast is a gem! I love hearing from all her guests, including her sons. My son, now almost 12, really relates to Luke because of his experience as a Christian athlete. Would LOVE to listen to a podcast from Luke if he ever thinks about starting one!!!

This is my all-time favorite podcast. I have listened to Monica since she had the boy Mom podcast which I came across and was interested in because I have three boys. Every episode that I listen to just is so good for the soul and you can just relate to every topic she covers. I think she has cut back on how often she puts a new episode out and I find myself stalking her podcast show to see if a new one has been released. I’m always craving more. Thank you for everything that you do Monica and for even the hard topics you cover. You have come a long way in this journey and have grown so much which benefits all of your listeners. Monica always seems to know what I am struggling with. I homeschool my son and daughter (12 and 16). It is not easy but God has lead me on this path and I need people like Monica in my life.

Amazing for boy moms and girl moms too! Monica always has genuine, faith based, conversations with other amazing seasoned moms for us all to learn from. Whether you just started your momming journey or your children are older, Monica shares great advice and is fun to listen to! I feel like I’m sitting at her dining room table sipping coffee and just chatting about all the good stuff. I stumbled upon her podcast after starting the Boy Mom book and just wanting to learn and hear more from her while I’m driving or walking or cleaning up the house! haha! I was so pleased to find that she’s had a podcast for awhile now and I have loads of content to catch up on!! I’m on episode 33 now and have already learned and picked up so many things to bring into raising my two boys. Jacob(5) and Oxford (8 months) My favorite so far is just learning how to pray for not just my own wisdom to become a better mom for my boys but how to pray for my boys and my family.
