Great podcast. Makes rewatching lost a ton of fun. I just finished season 3. I watched Lost live back in the day, then rewatched all of it probably around 2011 or so. Around the time I first got Netflix Maybe you guys could give The Leftovers the same podcast treatment . It’s a lot heavier of a show to say the least, but it’s an all time top 5 for me so maybe it’s way up there with other Lost fans.

Deeps of dives into Lost? Who else would discover the writer of a sound drop during a 30sec clip of Hurley’s lottery past. Exhaustively covered Lost with full spoilers. A pure delight for huge Lost fans. Told by two friends that love the show. Tangents are delightful and plentiful. They have covered the first season of Heros and have moved onto Battlestar Galatica with a spoiler free coverage. Rob and Mike are amazing and feel like the friends I have never met.

Great thoughtful discussion on one of the most underrated shows of the 21st century! Hosts have awesome chemistry that would translate even if I wasn’t so interested in the topic. Only problem is editing- every episode has 2-3 instances when 30-60 sound bites repeat themselves. Doesn’t prevent my enjoyment of the podcast, but hopefully something that can be fixed in the future!

This is a wonderful rewatch podcast for people who love LOST by people who love LOST. Josh Wigler proclaims that LOST is his favorite show of all time, and his love for the series comes through in every second of the podcast. However, that doesn’t mean that Josh and Mike won’t critique the show when it’s deserved. Overall, this is a delightful, loving, meticulous journey back through all the emotions, groundbreaking storytelling, and the incredible characters of LOST. Along the way, Josh and Mike come up with some truly funny running jokes and characters of their own that they reference again and again. Highly recommend if you’re doing a rewatch or just want to revisit all the highs and lows of one of the best TV shows of all time.

Great podcast, but Mike needs to stop interrupting Josh. He has good insight but dear lord it is absolutely unbearable to listen to. Please, please stop interrupting and wait your turn to speak, dude. Jesus Christ.

This is by far the best LOST podcast I’ve found in terms of the depth, knowledge base, and respect for the franchise. I can’t listen to non-fans rip my favorite show, but these guys clearly have a love for LOST, so their criticism is welcome. Every fan has problems with some aspect of LOST, and I can’t understand why some listeners would have a problem with their constructive criticism. An 8 hour series finale show?? Are you kidding me?? Who does that? Great show!

They laugh at all of season 6 and get into jokes only they find funny. Let down. Hey, pay ten bucks to talk to ppl that will have an opinion on ever scene. ✊🏻 thank god it’s over. I wasted two years of my life with these guys. Loved the 6th season. Loved how they brought back everyone. Go to a bar and be the only two that joke about stuff that’s not funny . So nerdy

Just fell down the hatch and as a first time viewer, I’m way behind. But did it occur to you that Jack is a nickname for John? So grateful for you both leading me through the (very tangle and dense) jungle.

I’m sure many can relate that the past few years have not been easy. My wife and I suffered the loss of a child at the end of 2020 and continue to have fertility issues. I left a job that was draining my mental health and got a new one that requires a lot of driving. At first I wasn’t sure if I could adapt to that amount of driving, but discovering Down the Hatch has made me truly start to enjoy my work days and at the same time take me down this incredible trip back to the show that has yet to be beat! Not only is the content super relatable (most specifically re visiting the story of Jin / Sun and the islands fertility issue ) but the way that the re visit has met me where I am today has brought out a ton of new emotions and responses I didn’t necessarily have during my first few watches . Josh and Mike thank you , I will continue to follow along for the ride . Your show has been the hope I have been looking for.

Josh is just such a good podcaster, Mike good too, they play off one another and their knowledge of the show is unmatched

This may be a bit long, thank you for this amazing podcast! I first watched Lost when it was on ABC and every week my husband and I waited talking nonstop about what would happen next and this was before we had kids. During the pandemic we re-watched it again and then discovered this podcast. It’s been amazing to go down memory lane and listen to you all every week!!

I'm currently on my third time listening to this entire podcast. I've been listening since the preview and I find Mike and Josh to be so comforting. Sometimes I'll pop on an episode when I'm not getting good, and I'm usually dinner with the new episode by 10 or 11 Friday morning. My anxiety about this podcast sending was H HUGE until they started to hint that the end of the rewatch won't be the end of the podcast. Please just go on forever!

A must for those looking to revisit to their LOST fandom.

This is the very best LOST podcast, and that is saying a lot because there are several outstanding ones out there. Josh Wigler and Mike Bloom have excellent chemistry and are true fans of the show. These guys are SO good at what they do. Fantastic pod, hilarious at times, great interaction between both hosts. One tiny thing - please, Mike Bloom, please stop using the word ‘nothingburger’- it’s an outdated term and you totally overuse it. Love this show though, keep up the great work!

I’ve listened to a few lost podcasts and this isn’t y far the best one IMO. Both Josh and Mike are funny and you can tell the are passionate about the show. Long episodes so they really get into the weeds with each episode. I like the added show notes with links to articles, interviews etc. So glad I found this podcast.

As I rewatch Lost for my summer season rerun, I thoroughly enjoy listening to your takes on each episode. I am currently on episode 7(not in Portland). My favorite phrase from you guys is “comingout”. Every time I hear some one say this I think of your podcast! Also, every time a baby is born on the series, I hear “comingout”!😉 The irony is, that was said in the 2nd season which is the only season there was no childbirthing (comingout) going on. Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. I’ll be listening, keep the fun times coming.

Best Lost podcast there is. Josh and Mike also podcast, or have podcasted, about many other shows. Those would also be worth your attention.

I've literally never written a podcast review before, but this is such an amazing podcast that I just had to. I've rewatched Lost about 8 (?) times now, and doing it again with this show as a companion is an awesome experience. They really know their stuff and I'm getting so many insights into Lost and how it was made, and so many little details I've somehow missed after all these times. The level of attention they pay to every aspect of the show is so amazing and is so fun to watch Lost again with these guys nerding out with me. Thank you!

Listening to Mike and Josh dive into each episode not only reminds me of why Lost was my favorite show, but it reveals how re-watching the show can still be a “first time experience” depending on how your own life has changed since the last time you watched it.

Heard a lot of good things about this podcast so wanted to give it a listen. Just a few minutes into the first episode, they made an obviously politically charged comment and one of the hosts basically said that if you don’t think like they do politically, they don’t want us to be a part of what they are doing. So, as requested, I’ve unsubscribed and won’t be listening. Thankfully, there are other very good Lost podcasts out there that seem to appreciate their listeners a bit more. It’s really sad that this is the world we live in, where I can’t feel welcome to listen to a podcast about a shared love of Lost because I happen to think different politically.

Once Mike and Josh ditched the 108 minute limit, the podcast got so much better. I love all the details they talk about and they know so much.

Please STOP with the Jack voice. I cringe every time. Maybe don't throw stones in a glass house because your normal voice is a lot more whiny. Also there is one rap song in Lost and you relentlessly make fun of it. Racist much?

Josh Wigler and Mike Bloom dive deep into each episode of the hit series LOST, and boy do they really cover all the bases! I’ve been doing a rewatch with my partner who hasn’t seen the series yet, and their coverage co-aligns with my rewatch so well. Both Wigler and Bloom are incredible journalists and Survivor super fans, and their expertise does not hinder their outstanding performances covering a new type of island mystique! Keep up the good work, gentlemen!

Mike and Josh are two hilarious, nerdy friends who just happen to love talking about LOST. I’ve loved this series since its first airing, and have watched it many times, but Josh and Mike talk about it with such depth and insight, I’m learning new things with every podcast episode. The best thing is they they do not limit their nerdiness to LOST-talk. There are constant references to other things that I love, like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. They also make me laugh out loud multiple times per episode. Don’t let the 2.5+ hour runtime deter you from giving this fun, spoiler-filled podcast a listen!

This is a great podcast!!! It’s a real fun experience. I watched lost a while ago and have not seen it recently. You do not need to rewatch lost with them to enjoy this podcast. Listening to this podcast brings back fun memories of watching the show.

Pretty much any podcast Wigler puts out is fun and great, but you can tell that his deep passion for Lost is special and genuine in this retrospective. Plus Josh and Mike have such an array of bonus content episodes like song parodies, a FREAKING RPG CAMPAIGN SET IN THE LOST TIMELINE OF THEIR WATCH, and all kinds of surprises. I’m not recommending that you listen... I recommend that you listen and catch up to their current weekly schedule and join in on the shenanigans!

Found this through listening to succession podcast -also excellent. These guys know their stuff. Details matter and they get it right. I’ve started a rewatch after listening to 2 episodes.

Lost existed in a time before binging. One of the elements that helped me be a life long fan was the discussion which would happen week to week or the interminable wait between seasons. This podcast reminds me of those conversations. Josh Wigler and Mike Bloom have in depth but easily listenable breakdowns of each episode. Sometimes serious theory discussion and sometimes silly non-sequitors. If you are rewatching for the 108th time or looking to explore The Island for the first time, this is a great accompaniment. Love these guys!

That’s my favorite line from the series and this is my favorite Lost podcast. Kudos to these two gods among men Josh&Mike for taking upon this giant podcasting job. Well done fellas, it’s paying off for anyone who listens. Spoilers everywhere, watch the show all the way through first fools!

I heard about this show on another podcast and figured I’d give it a try, BEST CHOICE EVER! The hosts are great, the segments are fun and the blend of love and humor about the show is infectious. If you’ve seen all of Lost then this is the show for you!
