Listened to the preview of the Peach Bowl and y’all gave zero respect or time of day to ASU prior to the game. “Oh it’s not gonna be close” or “Oh their defense is small and undersized” or “oh this would be a middling SEC team.” Give me a break. You clearly know ball but you should do a little bit more research on your opponent and give them the time of day. Comes across as cocky and a poor representation of the fanbase.

I love the show but not digging the new betting focus.

Unlike many other pods out there, Paul and his guests tend towards more nuanced discussions on the longhorns and other college football topics. I appreciate his intelligent delivery as well as his opinions which would not otherwise occur to a largely uneducated listener like myself. The personal anecdotes that he and his friends provide are also the perfect complement of humor to his detailed discourses.

Really enjoy Paul and the rest of team at EGAT putting together great analysis that is easy to follow and understand!

Host Paul Wadlington is cerebral, insightful, and humorous who just happens to be a huge Texas Longhorn fan. His old articles he penned as “ScipioTex” gave a practical football perspective that he always brought back overarching philosophical truths. Throw in former Texas pitching great Randy Boone and you’ve got the best Texas Football podcast on either side of the Red River.

Paul is abrasive, Ian is a dork, and Randy is a good old fashioned CenTex redneck. Wrap it all together and this is quite the loveable bunch! Great Xs and Os discussion intermixed with bad social commentary and good ragging on the Aggies. I get giddy when a new episode appears on my feed.

Absolutely the best podcast available for news, insight, and analysis for Longhorns football. Entertaining and very informative.

If you’re a fan of Texas football, or even football in general, I could not recommend this podcast more. I’m a weekly listener and I learn something new each week. Thanks to Paul, Ian and Randy for their time.

worthwhile listen for it's breezy and thoughtful analysis of univ. texas football. solid information on a wide variety of issues. despite it's obvious focus the discussion is actually far ranging with interesting presentation of the authors views. they would be smart to add another platform for another area of discussion on another podcast. r. boone is the perfect foil for the snarky host. they are both smart and have fine command of any aspect of UT sports and provide smart commentary on both micro and macro levels.

Always look forward to the weekly drop of this podcast. Paul Wadlington gives consummate analysis of the Horns games. Covers all facets of the game and has thoughtful insights into what transpired. While I like the other pods on this “channel,” Paul is hard to listen to. I’ve literally never heard another podcast in which the host claims to know everything about everything as much as he does. It’s a constant beat down of “I know better than this coach. I know better than that coach. <insert anyone with infinitely more professional experience than Paul> doesn’t know what he’s doing. This player is fat and slow and dumb.” Especially with the bad demeaning “jokes” that get obvious terrible reactions from the co-hosts, It’s just a painfully difficult podcast to ever get all the way through, and I keep trying and failing. The 1-0 pod is excellent, so I stay subscribed. This one, though…

Good duo. I appreciate the pacing, which lives in the 1970’s Johnny Carson interview space…room for thoughts to breathe. Would make Harold Pinter proud.

Highest praise I can give these guys is to willingly forfeit an hour of my life listening to them discuss 2 topics I have zero interest in — the NFL draft & Shaka Smart basketball.

Even when they incorrectly pick the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, they come back the next week bragging about how they knew all along that Brady would get it done and how the Bucs should never have been the underdog. Check the tape Kevin and Paul, you both (and most sports pundits) got this pick wrong. There’s no shame it. Humility is a good thing. In your own words “It’s ok to admit when you’re wrong.” They also love to rail against PC culture and act like they’re the fringe minority on issues like exercising outside alone without a mask in the time of covid. We all agree that’s acceptable behavior. Stop pretending to be a victim when the only ones who disagree with you are a couple of high school kids who spend their days on Twitter. The only thing more annoying than PC culture is pretending to be victimized by PC culture, a stance they’ve leaned into more heavily since the pandemic started. Plus these two boomers are getting older everyday. My favorite quote from the last episode after complaining about THE WEEKEND’s halftime show. Paul - “I keep up to an extent. I know who Macklemore is...” [INSERT “Hello fellow kids...” MEME HERE] 🤣 I’m still giving them 5 stars in hopes they see this, read this and change their ways. Usually they have good takes and they definitely know the Texas football program inside and out. And Inside Texas is a great site with great reporting. Just PLEASE STOP WITH THE PRETENDING TO BE VICTIMIZED! WE ALL AGREE WITH YOU! ITS ANNOYING!
