    Not bad for updates
Jack does a good job providing updates but the show is kind of redundant episode to episode without much analysis.

    Best Blackhawks podcast
I really like the excitement of the host. He is energetic, fun and positive. He knows a ton about the Blackhawks and the NHL in general. There are not many Blackhawks podcasts, but this is the best one around. Thanks for your hard work !

    Good Material
I love that it’s on everyday but I usually get bored. I find he repeats the content way too much and I get bored.

    Repetitive
It is great but he repeats to much

    I gave it a chance
I listen to a lot of Blackhawks related podcasts, every one I’ve found has wound up on my subscribe site. This podcast, so far, is the only one I’ve deleted. The host is hard to listen to, he introduces, sums up, and reintroduces segments way too many times. I don’t need to hear “now it’s time to…” between every segment. Maybe the show is geared towards young children? Feels that way. The host also has an annoying tendency to call players by nicknames, a lot of times you hear the coaches and other players use different nicknames, so it comes off like the host here is just just using his pet names for people. Weird. The analysis is OK, usually echos what everyone else is thinking. Never goes too deep or off on any tangents, so props for that. About every 6 months or so I download a show just to see if it’s improved (it hasn’t); maybe someday they’ll replace the host and get back on track. The former host was great.

    You are amazing
I appreciate that daily episodes man. It can’t be easy due to the current state of the team but I appreciate it and tune into your show almost daily. I would love to get those tickets for the Blackhawks vs Stars game. My YouTube name is @colerecchia2946. Keep up the great work!!!

Exactly what we want from a Locked On show!
We listen to a lot of Blackhawks and other hockey podcasts, as well as a few other non-hockey Locked On shows. Jack provides news and recaps of what’s going on in the franchise as well as, IMO, the right amount opinion and analysis for a relatively short-form podcast. For those who want longer form hockey conversations there are plenty of shows to add to round out your listening - but for quick bites and updates from a host who cares about the game and the team, this fits the Locked On mold I expect and does it quite well. Great job Jack
I enjoy listing to game recaps & your insights regarding a really challenging year! I watch your YouTube podcasts when I have a chance @frankdemonte. Keep up the good work.

Nothing but ad’s and old repeat news
Every podcast you can skip the first 2-4 min. The Troy Murray Patrick sharp podcast it took 4 full min before he started talking about news.
  • Mr Caution
    It’s not the best option.
Bushman sounds like a 16-year-old, 4 ft tall eunuch with a thick Chicago ‘burbs accent. So, if you listen to podcasts while falling asleep, you may want to look elsewhere for more soothing vocalizations. As for substance, Bushman is… fine. He seems to put more effort into collecting team news, which is nice, but there are better podcast options.

    Sorry I tried
Just horrible. No real insight. Not much hear. Come up with your own opinion

    Love Love Love
Very knowledgeable podcast host who keeps it entertaining.

    Hugely Disappointing
While Buckman provides great insight into the Blackhawks prospects, he doesn’t add much other than the obvious with his analysis of the NHL club. He is not on par with the rest of the excellent “Locked On” franchise. Furthermore, his eagerness to pass judgment on the Blackhawks organization while the investigation is just getting underway, shows that he lacks the maturity and journalistic integrity to run his own podcast. His 2-part episode with Forster was atrocious.

    Go Blackhawks!
The ad reads are brutal but that’s not Jack’s fault. He’s quite better at analysis and easier on the ears than some other locked on hosts I’ve listened to. Jack you could make the ad reads 500x more bearable if you removed the music and stopped reintroducing the podcast after every ad read.

    Gave Jack A Chance, But...
There are way too many commercials and self promotions for such a short podcast. The host really lacks any insight or opinions on anything. He essentially reads a box score and stats in between long commercials. He fails to offer any insight or analysis, and seems unwilling or unable to be anything other than a cheerleader for players and management. While not a requirement to be good, by comparison to other hockey podcasts, Jacks lack of experience playing hockey stands out. I wish this were better, but it hasn’t improved in a year plus.

    WAY too many ads
i like jack as an analyst, but i think he’s too optimistic and deferential to those in power within the organization. the show borders on being far too formulaic, but i would happily give it 4/5 stars if not for ~50% of the show’s duration being ad content. sorry, but the Locked On network is just a bad listening experience with the sheer quantity of ads!

Keep up the good work. Love the player reviews.

Please stop reading and just talk
Advice- just stop reading and rushing your script. Talk take a breath and then talk some more. I don’t want to hear a written script. Just use your notes to talk . Pause . Say what you think. Ask questions. I can tell that everything you do is reading.
  • K8D_Laptop
The content is good but I can’t hear you
Please reduce the background music while you are talking. Also their must be a way to turn up your speaking volume on the podcast.

Thumbs down with the new guy
Deleting this podcast after 1 show listening to the political ramblings of a 20 year old has 0 to do with Blackhawks .

    Informative and interesting
Jay has done a great job here with this podcast and has constantly kept content coming even thru coronavirus. I listen every day and will continue. I assure you that this podcast is worth a listen. You won’t be disappointed!

    Should have stuck to hockey
Unsubscribed. Was one of my favorite podcasts when the topics were the Hawks and hockey. Now the host has let his personnel, biased opinions take over the show. False statements like only a very small minority wants the stay-At-home orders lifted is not true. Over 40% of Americans do (recent poll) and increasing daily. That’s not a very small “minority.” Also, don’t give the podcast a 2 star rating, it doesn’t help anybody???? Really? It will help those people who don’t want to hear your biased opinions. Stick to hockey and maybe I’ll be back!

    Good Daily Listen
Jay has done a great job keeping Hawks fans informed on a daily basis. He has a good mix of feeling the pulse of what the team has going on internally as well as a sense of the pulse of the fans, and meshes those two well. His passion is clearly evident - if you’re a Hawks fan throw this podcast into your rotation.
  • Hawksfan1989
    Fair weather
To start I like jay and give the podcast a listen. He often Says one thing and then says the opposite in the next podcast. I get he’s just trying to create more content to eat time but his opinion lack depth and direction at times. Give it a chance it’s great for a short car ride, chore, save a couple days mow the lawn.

    Outstanding Podcast
I have been a die hard BH fan for over 40 years. I had season tickets during the Savard & Secord era, love Chicago. I absolutely love this Podcast, great day to day updates on injuries, trade rumors & offseason strategies. This is definitely a 5 * show & highly recommended. Moreover, always rate, review & subscribe to help grow the show.

    Locked On Blackhawks
Jay’s my favorite hockey guy in Chicago. Well connected and informed with just the right amount of meatball. Love the shorter format this pod brings and hope your Dad is feeling better. - Jim Steinkraus

2nd best Hawks podcast by the Scores Hockey Guy Jay Zawaski
Zawzer is the most in the know behind the scenes blackhawks expery in Chicago. He shares what he can when he can on insider info. Very knowledgeable about the hockee and fair and balanced Hawks analysis. He's a fan but not a meatball... well most of the time. He has another podcast Madhouse Hockey Podcast which is great and is a regular contributor and producer on the WSCR 670 Chicago sportz radio the SCORE

    Great podcast!
This is a great podcast! Jay does a great job in talking hockey with pretty easy to understand terms. He also does a great job at explaining hockey to make sure everyone gets it. My only complaint would be...... the podcast has to many commercials in my opinion. Look no further for another Blackhawks podcast!!

Covers in-depth what local stations do not, Dagger!
Blackhawks do not get covered in the local sports media like they should, this podcast fills that void!

    Real, honest takes and information
Jay is super knowledgeable about hockey and the Blackhawks organization. He doesn’t give hot takes just to make headlines or be edgy. He is down to Earth and keeps things real. Super great podcast!
  • Nikki Ferrante
    Must listen!
Many Blackhawk podcasts are presented by current or former players or by broadcasters who have ties to the team and often are little more than shills. Jay Zawaski is none of the above and is not beholden to the team or its advertisers. He is honest and informative about the ‘Hawks in a thorough and professional way.

    Blackhawks Talk Every Day!
I’ve been listening to Jay on the Madhouse podcast for a while and always appreciate his insight and genuine enjoyment of the game. Now he’s doing this daily podcast for even more commentary, and I’m loving it! If he can make things this entertaining through a single-game opening week, imagine what it’ll be like when the Hawks start playing regularly. Definitely give it a listen. You’ll be hooked.
