Typo_oGrapes is a classicGrapes is still a legend in the hockey world. I feel bad for his falling out with HNIC years ago, as I think most people genuinely believe he meant no harm with his comments. Either way, it’s great to see him continuing his hockey commentary in some short supply. Wish the family well and keep it going guys.

jbroskThe Don cherry grapevineAm sorry to hear that Cindy is know longer with you 💔🏒

@UncleSteveinGaExcellent podcast by the worlds most Professional hockey coachWould just like to add my two cents and review Don Cherry‘s podcast: greatest coach in Boston Bruins history, great tales of family, life, locker room, incidents on and off the ice from the cherry family, very sad to hear about Cindy passing away rest in peace, Cindy, one of the greatest shows on podcast, Tim does a wonderful job setting up the show, wouldn’t miss a podcast for the world, my best memories were the 77, 78 and 79 series against the Montréal Canadiens, was there ever a more competitive game than game seven in 79?And it’s so ironic that grapes best friends were many French Canadians!

Bear777Ice Skated OnceI skated once in 1975 when visiting family in Colorado. We moved there in 1976 and I remember you wearing a cowboy hat at some point while coaching the Rockies. I really didn’t know until 1998, after getting a cable package that included the network hosting HNIC, what you meant to Canada, and hockey. I liked how you would say something like, “Hey kids…”, and pass along gameplay wisdom during the first intermission on Saturday nights. I don’t need to have ever played or skated to understand what a great game it is, and you are as iconic in my mind as a John Madden, or a Vin Scully, and the knowledge of a game you love. Keep on keepin’ on. You’re the best, and aside from the actual game, the reason I love it so much. Thank you, sir.

Hockeyref999You are a treasureGrapes Happy Birthday! I have been a loyal fan of yours since the 1960’s. You are not just a Canadian treasure but we Americans hold in the highest esteem. Plus you coached our Rockies, we love you for that. I look forward to the Podcast every week, it brings back so many memories of old time hockey, when men played the game. My deceased father loved John Wensink, and when you mention him it puts a smile on my face. May God always bless you! Mike in SW Colorado

AFHockeypunkYou’re an absolute Gem Grapes!Ijust started listening to your show today and I have gone through about 20 and absolutely love the show! I grew up just across the river from Cornwall, Not in the US and as a child and a hockey fan growing up in the middle of nowhere Northern NY Saturday night hockey in the 90’s when I started watching the NHL as a religion so to speak. Hockey Night in Canada on CBC channel 4 was something I always looked forward to and especially seeing you Mr. Grapes talking hockey and going with the punches. I spent 14 yrs in the military all over the world, but would always look forward to seeing you on when I was able to watch the games, especially when I lived over seas and in the UK for my last five yrs (2012-2017). I was living in NC and was a maniac while living in NC (2018-2021) when you had called us a bunch of jerks and it stuck. I am a huge hockey fan, jersey collector and hockey collector of sorts and one thing that would be amazing is an autographed item if available for one of the greats in the NHL. Your fan Jeff the Kilted Caniac from Small town Northern NY

PaleoryanThe best!I love this podcast so much and look forward to it ever week. I wish it was longer, I could listed to them all day long talk about Hockey stories. So refreshing, unlike the other podcasts out there. Grapes and his kids are the best, keep up the great work.

Create nick namesxRemembrance DayI have been a fan for ever but I unfollowed your podcast after realizing that you are a trump fan. I was listening to your Remembrance Day episode and was enjoying your support of the poppy but then I realized that you are a blind dope when it comes to your support of the lunatic. Don’t you realize what he did ? He canceled his appearance at a WWI ceremony just because of a little rain . Trump cancels WW1 memorial at U.S. cemetery in France due to rain You can’t have it both ways. Support the poppy as you should and recognize the idiot for what he is. Bye bye
-
Champ BullachBuy a poppy!I have enjoyed your podcast for quite sometime. As an American, living in Metro Detroit, I was privileged to have the opportunity to watch you on Coach’s Corner every Saturday night on CBC channel 9 from Windsor. I miss your insight and honest opinions. As our Memorial Day is next week, I want to let you know I bought a poppy today and will make sure that my three sons remember the sacrifices that were made for their freedom by not only our soldiers but also by those of our allies in Canada. God Bless and Godspeed to you and your family.

ChargingDCGreatI’ve always loved Grapes and now I love this Podcast. I’m beginning to think that his leaving HNIC was a good thing since it birthed this wonderful podcast. I don’t miss an episode. My only complaint is that I wished the episodes were just a little longer. But all told, it’s one of my favorites.

JCW@1Hello from ColoradoI was one of the few season ticket holders when Don was here in Colorado. I always thought he brought NHL big time experience to an otherwise Mickey Mouse franchise. And, I enjoyed his time on HNIC. I would appreciate your deleting the disgusting review dated Sept 9 contained herein. Thank you.

billohriffeDon The GreatI love Don Cherry and his podcast is fabulous. As an American I had a hard time understanding what Don was talking about on Coach’s Corner. It was so fast (short) and he talked about all different age groups I couldn’t keep up. However, the podcast with Don and his children Tim & Cindy slow the conversation down so even an American can follow. Thank you all.
-
IanNJGreat memoriesOf you are a long time hockey, Don will walk you down memory lane. No one can spin stories like Grapes!
-
Big EbDGrapes!May God always bless the Cherry family! Canada May be occupied by jewISH communists now, but the Cherry’s will never yield!

Steve SkalingEvery Hockey Fan Should ListenDon Cherry has done more for Hockey's popularity than anyone I have seen. Has great stories, information, strategy and knows so many people, personally. If you were a Bruins fan, it’s a must listen. The closest I have ever come to a beating was, when I was at a Springfield Indian event, AHL fan club and my friend, Jim, told Ted Shore, Eddies son, that Don Cherry said hello. The look on Ted Shores face, wow, priceless.

Nighthawk81xSomeone stop DonCherry hasn't been a valuable hockey analyst since the 80s.

PoultosJokeThis is actually one of the worst podcasts I’ve tried to listen to. Non coherent and not interesting.

HitchkennedyA Real Canadian PleasureSo glad I found this podcast. As an ex-pat living abroad, I miss the Canadian sensibility which Mr. Cherry exemplifies. Down to earth, generous, easy-going, call it as it is. Feels like my neighbors.
-
They call him..ROBONobody is more real than 🍇I love the podcast! I can always rely on Mr Cherry to speak his mind and be entertaining. Highly recommended podcast for the true stick and puckster fans.

mt clemons debacleClassic Canadian Hockey GuyDon Cherry is the best. Too bad CBC had to follow the lousy times and take what he said out of context and fire him. If you listen to him talk over the years he means no harm by his sarcasm. But in today’s it’s different I get it. Listen to his weekly podcast. Brings back the old time stories that are priceless. Thx Don and your podcast crew!!!
-
Mikfin815Love it!It’s great hearing Don’s stories about hockey and life. Love how much family has been such an important part of his life and that he’s got Tim and Cindy with him.

bobbysdaughterSchmautzHi! It’s Cindi Bobby’s oldest. He listens to them all, and I know I would love to hear one about dad, and I know it would mean a lot to him
-
mrchuckhRemembering Great Amerks!I love the podcast! This week the playoffs start, and Don spent just a moment recalling working with Darryl Sly and Larry Hillman and al Arbour and Duane Rupp. That team was my introduction to hockey in 64-65. Calder Cup champs. Still love Grapes, the Rochester Americans and the Leafs. Go Grapes Go!
-
Barefoot BowhunterGrapes is back!Always loved to hear all the stories, now with Cindy’s and Tim’s perspectives. Thumbs ups!

MattyP5280A Cherry ElixirI would drop everything on Saturday nights at about the 19:59 mark of period one of whichever early game I was watching to turn into a game I knew was going to show Coaches Corner during the 1st INT. I needed my fix of the wisdom & honesty of the legendary Don Cherry. If we had more men like “Grapes” running the show in the NHL offices, we’d be near the end of the Stanley Cup playoffs as usual, instead of looking for our next Purell bath, figuring out how to start a modified, disjointed playoff system. That said, I feel blessed to still be able to hear him on a weekly basis right here. God Bless!
-

1981KKSGrapes!Great production job. Just love all your guys hard work. Listening to these last couple episodes takes me back to when I was younger, watching Grapes for the first time. It also reminds me of a different era and why I’m a hockey fan. Keep up the great work Cherry’s. Kevin from Detroit

-
WawaweenieI hate to say it but I am glad he got firedI hate to say it but if he didn't get fired, we would not have this great podcast. I live in America and it was real hard to watch HNIC and Coaches Corner since I got rid of my old C-Band satellite dish so having Grapes do a weekly podcast is even better. His stories are so much better when he has the time to go into more details and we don't have to have that pesky Don looking disspleased at him while he talks. No one cares about the future of hockey and the up and coming players than Don. Thank you Mr. Cherry, for this opportunity to listen to your thoughts.
-
Cubanito1971Glad your back!Screw the haters. I love me some Grapes!! Thanks for always being you and never bending to the social pressures of snowflakes.
-
lametunesGo Grapes!I love the show, Jason Spezza’s stick was the last one I could find and that was 10 years ago. So glad you are back on the air, and now easier to find in the states!
-
SnoopleyGlad to have Grapes back.Keep em coming, perfect platform for him and it’s going to be a joy watching where it goes. Hockey world is a better place with your voice in it.
-
DholecekOld SchoolI love the fact his show is now a podcast. I think Grapes is in his 80s and his memory is sharp as a tack. The names and stories that he brings up are awesome. If you liked hockey in the days before all the media and storytelling was the art form, then this is for you.
-
Old&WiserWe got your back, Don!Keep up the great work, I am 60 years old and have been watching and listening to you since I was a kid...die hard fan always!
