FreyjaG25So much great info for lifestyle changes!I love how this show uses evidence and studies (plus updates as new information comes out!) to help inform listeners and empower them with education on so many aspects that affect your health. Thank you so much for this great show Juna and Eddie- y’all have truly changed my life! I began listening three years ago, over time I I felt confident and informed in my “why” as I made lifestyle changes to improve my longevity. I’m now the healthiest and most resilient I have ever been! Just listening to this show is the small step you need to take to make positive changes in your life!

Nayelli OQThank you!It is so refreshing how a podcast about food gets less and less weight-centric. Thank you for highlighting, in many of your episodes, how it is completely possible to improve our health through lifestyle changes that don’t require stepping on a scale. I can share episodes without worrying about triggering anyone’s disordered eating. You are such a dynamic duo. I appreciate your hard work! Thanks!

Turns Out I’m a Cat PersonScience and GraceJuna and Eddie share science based health information with humor and kindness. No shame, no blame. Want to be a healthier and happier you? These two want that for themselves and for their listeners. I’m a better me for listening, learning, and applying the information they and their guests share.

rak49!Been listening since the beginningI really appreciate listening to a science and evidence based podcast that focuses on so many of the health topics I’m interested in: food and exercise. You guys cut through all the ambient noise and FWNTT is a fun listen too!
-
MaesielabirdPodcast with friends!Food we need to talk is an absolute five star podcast. It doesn’t feel static or dry, it’s not preachy and overly scientific. It feels like sitting down and chatting with friends. Thank you Juna (not Juan) and Eddie for being my favorite podder people!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rosann61Great info!I love the show and am so happy to have found it. The info is well explained and the hosts are charming and knowledgeable. Keep it coming!
-
c-crashI’m sticking aroundJust came across this podcast The information is easily digestible (pun intended 😆)
-
Sabreeze3Helpful but sometimes oversaturatedLove their variety of topics and guests! Something I find frustrating about this and many health podcasts is the point of view that with every different topic and guest, THIS TOPIC is the answer. It makes it hard to figure out what is the most important thing when everything is framed as the most important thing. I really enjoyed the morning routine episode.
-
turt648295The conversations you have been waiting for.The topics Juna and Eddie discuss are always fascinating and leave you wanting to learn more and work to care for yourself. Please keep up the amazing work.

Rsh2025I’m hooked! This is my first review of a podcast yay! Haven’t sone these before but love this show so much I had to write one. I stumbled upon this podcast when I honestly just googled “fun health podcasts” and it was the first to pop up. Listening to this podcast and the hosts is like having a conversation with two friends. I love how it is incredibly informative it is, while accomplishing a balance of objective and empathetic. So happy I found this!

MytusenseDon’t botherCheap attempt to grab your money. No new concepts or information you can’t find elsewhere. This is low level.

IsabelleK100Review from a Trauma TherapistThis podcast offers such a beautiful presentation of science backed information and fun. I am so grateful for the variety of specialists they host, as well as their helpful experience, knowledge, and authenticity. I am signing up for the news article and cannot wait to dig into the book!

GMoyaPerfect balance between science and humorFun to listen and super helpful information. Eddie and Juna make complicated stuff about food and health easy to understand and actually enjoyable to listen to. It’s perfect if you’re trying to figure out how to eat better or just want to feel healthier overall.

polynitaMy Eating Disorder Journey!I started listening to this podcast in 2021 when I was trying to kick my bulimia after it got scarily chronically bad during the pandemic. After 8 years of my eating disorder, this podcast (along with medication and treatment) was a huge step in becoming a more educated and self-loving individual, capable of healing! It’s been almost three years since I’ve had diagnosable eating disorder behaviors and continue to listen to this podcast for Juna and Eddie’s entertaining, scientific, and loving banter and content :) thank you both!

Meepster12Happy new year!Happy new year!!! Eddie and Juna are my absolute favorite podcasting duo. I’ve been listening for the past few years but only just got around to writing a review becuase they deserve to hit 2k reviews and way more! They’re not only informative but I genuinely enjoy the chemistry between these two. I feel like I’m listening to my personal friends who are down to earth, honest, smart, funny, humble, and not pretentious. They have been a part of my health journey through all kinds of life changes, like traveling, starting a stressful business, entering my 40s, and recently having a baby. Having them in my ear weekly to just remind me not to neglect my health has been so wonderful. Thank you a bunch. Love from a loyal listener in South Korea. 🇰🇷
-

mrmansmomMy “Must Listen” Every WeekI was lucky to catch this podcast from the very beginning five years ago, and I have never missed an episode since. Between the regular podcast and the membership episodes, it is always a part of my Monday morning routine! The information is science-based, and I never fail to learn something new, even when I am already pretty familiar with the topic. As the parent of a profoundly disabled adult child with an unorthodox diet and gastrointestinal disease, this podcast has not only helped me deal with my own hang ups regarding food, exercise, and body image (just in time for menopause, too!), but it has also helped me better understand how my child’s chronic health and dietary issues affect his body as well. But mostly I just like hearing Juna and Eddie and their friendly voices, and their graciousness in letting the listeners into their own lives just a little bit, to show they are on this weird little ship of life, too.

kimnuknukWater in the morning + 🩷Hello Juna and Dr. Eddie! I have been a listener for over 3 years and have learned SO MUCH from you two. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into creating each episode. I started drinking lemon water in the morning 15 YEARS ago. Drinking water when you wake up is super important. I tell my 8AM students to be sure to have had water before class and describe it as a wilting plant that perks right up or that their brain is a dried out sponge and poufs back into shape. I got my husband on the lemon water habit to help with his sometimes sensitive gut a d it really does work.

E_Lovejoy👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼I’ve been listening to Eddie & Juna on and off for the last few years. I really enjoy the chemistry between these two and how well they bounce off each other, while also learning lots of tidbits of health and wellness. Keep it up!

Scilady25Fun and factualThis podcast mixes science and entertainment. Lots of great, real, doable advice.
-
Adam B in MAGreat health and fitness podcast, while still being funI’ve listened to Food, We Need To Talk for a couple years now and it’s a really great podcast for learning about how to be healthier, while still being an enjoyable podcast that’s light and makes me feel good instead of bad like some other health podcasts. Thanks to Juna and Eddie for having a podcast that’s based in the latest science and not just trends or theoretically good ideas. evidence based advice is so important in this area.
-
NFD20Informative and funI absolutely love Juna and Eddie’s balanced, nuanced approach based entirely science. The range of topics is great and the effort put into each one is clear. I definitely recommend this podcast!
-
Oldskool Skasupplement ads??!love the podcast but was a wee bit surprised you’re doing ads for supplement companies! y’all seem highly focused on optimal health through basic nutritionally sound food choices. still: love the podcast and i know ya gotta pay the bills… i guess i should step up and become become a member!
-
Kayleigh BBFavorite & RequestHands down, my favorite podcast! I recommend it to everyone. So fun and informative. I have a topic that I would love to hear Eddie’s & Juna’s opinion. What age is too old to go to medical school? I’m about to be 37 and I’ve taken prerequisites a dozen times over the years and always wanted to go to med school, but life. Now it feels out of reach. In addition to med school, what are some other career paths for folks interested in healthy living/lifestyle/medical field? If you both weren’t doing what work you have, what would be career plan b? What health and wellness fields for career switchers and people who you’ve inspired with the podcast? Thanks for considering!
-
Lana2010toMy favorite healthy life style podcastI enjoy listening to Juan and Eddie explain and give advice based on science, not on sponsors’ recommendations. I’ve literally been listening to them for over three years, and I even went back to listen to the older episodes too. Never miss an episode!
-
erh1227My favorite podcast!I love this podcast and tell all my friends to listen to it. Juna and Eddie make health and fitness topics so fun and interesting. They break down the content to make it easy to understand. And of course, there are a lot of laughs along the way. I really appreciate how open they are about their own journeys with health and fitness. The guests are top notch. The messages are always positive and never shaming. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!
-
teacherturnedmomYay for Eddie, but Juna is really getting on my nerves. “I always tell people,” “I was telling my mom not to watch those crazy shows before bed”, “I tell everyone”… Also, no alarms? Lots of people have to work, or get kids off to school. (The sleep episode rubbed me the wrong way. As a working mom, many of the suggestions are just laughable. The ones that aren’t, like sleep hygiene, we’ve been hearing for years.)
-
melissabdixonGreat podcast! This has become one of my favorite podcasts. The hosts do a great job talking about health, food, fitness and mindset in a way that doesn’t feel stigmatizing. Their format is engaging and not filled with “fluff”, they get straight into the topic of the day and their guests all have interesting topics. Thanks for spending the time doing this, guys!

rachael12345654321Love this show! This is my new favorite podcast! The hosts are so fun to listen to, and you can tell that they really care about what they do and their listeners. They cover really interesting and relevant topics, and explain them in a research-based way that makes sense. I am on a health journey and this podcast is helping me make healthy decisions while avoiding fad diets. Thank you thank you thank you Eddie and Juna!

AMLBW22These 2 are the BEST!First, thank you for your time, effort, and of course ENERGY! Speaking of energy, this amazing podcast has helped me learn about more ways I can increase my energy. Happy to say, my energy has been up, up, up, and my quality of life has improved too. Thank you!!!😊

Traci_RoseBinge ListeningI have never binged a show faster in my life. If I have free time, I am listening to Juna and Eddie! While this podcast has taught me SO MANY things, I think my biggest takeaway has been the importance of exercise. I used to see exercise as unfortunate necessity to loosing weight, but after listening to Juna and Eddie, I have a whole new outlook on it that has nothing to do with weight loss. Food We Need to Talk has been an important part of my journey to both living a healthier lifestyle and loving myself at any size. I recommend this podcast to everyone!! Thank you June and Eddie!
-
EuropeanStarlingChanged my life for the betterAfter hearing the recent episode where Juna and Eddie shared what lifestyle changes they’ve made using the knowledge they gained from making the podcast, I thought it’d be fun to leave a review doing the same! This podcast inspired me to: - Get over my fear of the gym and start strength training - Do cardio training more often (went from 1x a week to 3-4x) and actually see improvements - Cut down on supplements and processed foods in general, and eat more ‘real’ food - Drink less caffeine in the afternoon, my sleep schedule is so much better now - Stop caring so much about the number on the scale and focus more on feeling fit and healthy These were all changes I made specifically from listening to this podcast. It’s an awesome resource and so fun to listen to also- it’s one of the few I have on auto-download! A definite must-listen for those who are interested in health, nutrition, and improving their lifestyle!
-
MScoffeelifeGreat information in an entertaining wayLove the pod! I’m a second year medical student and you cover a lot of information that’s important but not included in medical school. I’ll definitely be using this information for myself and my patients so we can all live healthier and happier lives.

lynn041798Bravo on your Episode featuring Johann HariBravo on your recent episode with Johann Hari regarding GLP1 medications. I am a registered dietitian who specializes in nutrition and weight management. Currently, about 85% of my patients are on a GLP1. I absolutely agree with Mr Hari on the dangers of the medications. Clinically, I have seen individuals develop eating disorders while on GLP1 meds. I have seen eating disorders silenced then resurface with a vengeance due to supply issues when patients cannot get their meds. I have diagnosed individuals with protein malnutrition. I also agree with him on the benefits of these medications. I see great success with overall health improvements, people able to move better, and feel better. They certainly are not to be taken without a lot of consideration and commitment to making intentional, lifelong lifestyle and dietary changes.

CharitydcI Love Love Love this Absolutely AMAZING Podcast!Thank you so much for making this podcast. You make all the topics you cover so relatable and easy to digest. Listening to you both is like chit chatting with my 2 healthy, like minded, BFFs! I absolutely love my time tuning into the show and look forward to every new episode! Keep up the amazing work! And I literally have told all my gym friends about you guys :) Much Love, Charity C.
-
Lorna IsisReally enjoy the PodcastI really like this podcast, I did not give them 5 stars because the transition of information to get you to enroll in the patreon extended version is very agresive and sometimes leaves relevant information hanging.
-
Sara1265Great evidence based podcastI love this podcast! It’s very scientific and evidence based. I have enjoyed the episodes so far and look forward to many more.
-
Jo DetroitWonderful podcast!I listen to several weight related podcasts and have to say this is my overall favorite. The hosts are so nice and easy to listen to. I learn something every time I listen to an episode. They cover weight and health issues in depth, honestly with FACTS as well as emotional information. They have a great mix of episodes w/just the hosts talking about the topic of the day as well as some really great guests who add a lot to the podcast. I highly recommend this podcast if you’re struggling w/a weight problem like I am- it will inform you and inspire you w/o the side of guilt that some podcasts have. The advice is science based and down to earth. Give it a listen!
-
coolkeylimeGreat showGreat deep dives into health and fitness by Eddie and Juna. The episodes that surround a new topic are very well researched and the guests that speak on the show are experts in their fields. I love the banter between Juna and Eddie. Even when they’re just chatting with each other or doing Q&A sessions the silly responses are balanced by the thoughtful.
-
PT in OhioExcellentI just started listening to this podcast. I went back to the beginning and so far it is awesome. Very informative and inspiring!
-
Fitness qFavorite new showI love that this show is practical and evidence based. As a RN, fitness and nutrition are important to my professional and personal life.

PTCbubbleThe newest Juna peppermint mocha member today! The lastest episode with J Kenji Lopez Alt finally pushed me to take a minute and join the patreon club (and write a review)! I am a looking forward to learn more about spices and cooking and can’t wait for the follow up episode. I have been listening for years and love all the information. Now as a patreon, I’m binging on all the past fantastic talk episodes (I’ve been missing out on so much!) Thanks for all the information and keep it coming! With your help, I continue to discover life long habits to help sustain a healthy body with manageable exercise and diet habits. Thank you!!
-
Wallflower1968Educational and funIf there was one podcast that every single person could benefit from, it would be FWNTT! I learn something with every episode. Juna and Eddie have a very easy way to communicate about food, health, and related issues. I have been a listener since day 1.
-
shine4lifeEvidence and Real TalkI Love this podcast does not only present sound information and evidence about best practices, but also discussed how our environment and health disparities play a critical role in our health, as well as the influence of media/social media.
-
samanthamphFun and InformativeThis show is such a fresh take on health-related podcasts. It’s not boring and stuffy and I love that they have experts on to change it up some. Everything is evidence-based and relatable.
-
LP0612Nutrition for the HeartHey y’all! I love your podcast! I listen on my walks and it feels like I’m walking with friends. Y’all’s lightness and humor is exactly my own and I find myself smiling and laughing along. (My neighbors probably think I’m a little loony.) In addition to just enjoying your “company” - I love your content! I’ve always daydreamed about getting a nutrition certification / training of some kind but my current life season isn’t conducive to it so, listening to your podcast gives me a little dose of the health and wellness insight that I’m craving and I’m grateful. ♥️
