    Thankful for a PNW perspective
As one who grew up blacktail hunting small parcels with my bow, it was great to see you highlight the grey ghosts a little. They can be frustrating with their nocturnal habits!

    Let’s goo!!
For me it’s has to be them mule deers as I’ve been hunting them for 7 years now and yet to harvest one, the country the live in and how different they are from white tail and black tails just gets me going climbing steep mountains to find these elusive creatures is just what I look forward to every year although I’ve had many opportunities and came very close to harvesting a mule deer i just haven’t connected with one yet hoping 2025!

    Best deer species
Blacktail deer hunting is like the ninja of the deer world. While mule deer are out there flexing in wide-open fields and whitetails are posting up by cornfields, blacktails are sneaky little forest ninjas, hiding in the shadows, thinking they’re masters of disguise. They’re basically the deer equivalent of someone who wears all black and only emerges at night. If you want a real challenge, try hunting a blacktail—you’ll spend more time feeling like you’re lost in the woods than actually hunting, and by the time you spot one, it’s probably laughing at you from behind a tree. Sure, they’re small, but they make up for it with attitude. They’re the “don’t-make-a-sound-or-I’ll-vanish-forever” kind of deer. Plus, hunting them is a fantastic way to sharpen your patience. You’ll develop an intense relationship with your binoculars, trekking boots, and a new appreciation for silence. When you finally bag one, it feels like you’ve just conquered the entire forest. It’s the deer hunt equivalent of winning an Olympic gold medal in stealth!

    Yeah buddy!
I really enjoying the podcast, being from Oregon I hunt a lot of the same species as these guys. Their podcasts on fall bear inspired me to give it a go last year; unsuccessful but still a blast. BTW Blacktail are the best deer species, those southern Oregon bucks are beasts!

    Vulnerability equals authenticity!
Great podcast and looking forward to the best season, PNWILD has had to date. Regarding Jeff’s special draw Whitetail hunt, I can’t wait for that film. Those things will happen to every Hunter at some point if you stay in the game long enough. I personally appreciate the transparency and authenticity of sharing Louws that Coral hunting just as much as the highest! Keep it up! Austin H.

    Hitting the ground running… 2025
Enjoying your podcasts! I appreciate you all keeping it real and I’m looking forward to more YouTube content this year as well. I made a bad shot this year—it happens. Keep up the good work, stay safe, and get on to the next one.

    2025 season
Can't wait to see what 2025 brings for you guys! I'm excited to see what Jeff does this year with the muzzleloader, I myself am a huge muzzleloader fan and hunter in Washington, it's my go to method even with a multi season tag!
  • YellowJacket72
    Awesome
I found you guys on YouTube reviewing Kuiu gear. I have never been hunting before but I started watching hunting videos on YouTube and I’m hooked. Can’t wait for the bear hunt videos with Smoung. Also from listening to several of your podcasts I know Jeff has been holding out on some Kuiu gear reviews.

    Great podcast!
This is an amazing entertaining and informative podcast on hunting. I’m from the east coast but these guys talking about their hunting stories are extremely relatable! Always a good listen!

    Eh
Not for me. Maybe for someone else, but not for me. I see this podcast changing as they mature in life and hunting.

    Awesome podcast!
I just moved back to my home state of Washington. I was honestly a little depressed about it, because I’ve spent the last 7 years living and hunting in Montana. Wanted to thank you guys for getting me fired up about hunting in Washington. Counting down the days to fall bear! See you guys out there!

    The greatest podcast!
Hello boys, and patient and understanding wives and family of the PNWILD crew. I am a fellow lifetime Washingtonian and lifetime big game hunter. I have never been very successful, 100% due to lack of time to put in the needed effort. Your podcast has inspired myself and my hunting partners to push harder, scout often, and utilize all necessary tools to be better and more successful. As three guys who are just starting our podcast and future YouTube adventures, we are constantly impressed by your content and energy that goes into it. Keep up the great work. I’ll be rocking a Tamarack hat for Archery deer this year in support of my favorite podcast. So from The Bullets and Octane PodShow to PNWILD, keep up the great work! And thank you for the hours and hours of entertainment.

    Episode 130
Hey guys, I just want to start off by saying I am a big fan. My buddy got me hooked on following your content. I love watching your channel and listening to your podcast. I have learned a lot and continue to learn something every time I watch and listen to your latest content. Your groups drive has really encouraged me to pull off a high buck hunt next year. I am really pushing myself and buddies to try to pull that off. I am always amazed by the country you guys get into and I hoping I can get into some of that with a high buck hunt next year and a Montana hunt this year. With that being said I am curious to get all of your opinions on what your mindset would be in my position. I have been hunting for about 3 years now and I have gotten 2 bucks down. My second buck was in Wyoming and scored roughly a 165. Do you think you would have the same mindset on how you approach a hunt like you talk about in this episode if you were in my situation? I hope to hear back from you guys on this question. Thank you and keep putting out the great content. Can’t wait to see how your 2023 high buck season plays out for you!

    Profanity is excessive
Guys, listen to all the other hunting podcasts, you won't here the constant barrage of profanity. You'll hardly hear any in fact, especially from the hosts. There are young hunters and my kids that I flat won't listen to you with them around because you're R rated. It takes effort to clean up your language but you will always come across in a better and more professional light when it's clean. That will help with sponsors and promotion as well. Just my recommendation.

    Great podcast
I’ve been listening since Ep.1 and they just keep getting better. Really liked the aero pod I’m here on the south end of Washington myself here in puyallup and have some aero parts one of my builds for my semi auto Grendel. So love the podcast and it’s cool keeping it Washington.

    Hey bear!!!!
This podcast is one that every hunter can relate too!! When you listen to the bigger names in hunting you feel like an outcast. You guys make everyone feel like their shenanigans and mishaps are acceptable!!! Like I don’t have to go run marathons in the off season to be a real hunter!!! Thanks for all the jokes and keep the laughs rollin!!!!
  • JScharmann
    Top rate podcast!
36 years old and only been hunting for a few years in the great PNW with little luck but this podcast keeps me motivated to spend more time in the woods! Even did high buck last season! Thanks for the entertainment! Cheers!

    Thank you!!!
I love hunting but as an AOHD (Adult Onset Hunting Disorder) sufferer I have a lot to catch up on. I enjoy listening to all the different podcasts on hunting but I am very excited to have found your podcast covering hunting in the state of Washington. Learning tactics of hunting mule deer in Montana is great as there are principles that apply anywhere but hearing specific information for my own backyard is incredibly helpful!!! Thank you so much.
  • Ironmike7877
    Awesome
Love the podcasts and the content. Keep it coming.
  • ttu15!
Great podcast for all hunters, especially in Washington!
I love you guys because I learn so much and also am entertained! Moved to Washington from Texas in 2020 and this year my brother and I are headed out together for modern mule deer and bear! I feel much more prepared after listening to your content. Thanks! Cya on the mountain!

    Returning
Hey guys, I moved away from WA to Idaho two years ago, and through life struggles and hard events I’m having to move back to WA, and your podcasts and videos have helped me get excited to get back to what WA has to offer. Leaving the Idaho outdoors is obviously difficult, especially because I also do YouTube videos and the content here is unlimited. But thank you guys for providing motivation to find adventure in Washington.

    Five flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I found this podcast a few weeks ago and it become an instant favorite. I have been working my way through all the older casts. The content is as hot as a Jetboil in August. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The on the road shows are best. Keep up the great content guys. The bear hunts are the best!!

You guys are very entertaining, love the podcast! I’ve been downloading your episodes for the last year so I can listen to you at work (I work out of town primarily as an 01 electrician at dams, no cell service inside a huge concrete building). Thank you for the entertaining content, it’s motivates me to do better as a father and husband as well as take on new and challenging hunting adventures. Keep up the good work. You guys rock! P.S. love the ole Busch Latte’s as well

    Back in the backcountry
After shooting a 190” high country mulie 10 years ago, I “retired” to my backyard hunting whitetails. I figured I would never find another like it and it was time to move on. You’re podcasts have inspired me to get back up in the backcountry and back to searching for bigger monster mulies. I don’t know if I have ever looked more forward to a season of scouting and hunting. Thank you for the inspiration

    Grateful
After a long hiatus, and relocation to Western Washington I have begun the journey back to the outdoors. Thankfully I have discovered PNWild! I’ve binged podcasts over the last month and not only discovered good times and great info from you guys, but have also been able to find other great information as well as begin the road to harboring contacts as well as potential to meet and learn! Thank you’s are owed to the guys at PNWild, I am grateful and excited.

    Time To Take Action!
First of all, I thoroughly enjoy your content and look forward to hearing your podcasts. Speaking specifically to episode 88, a friend of mine and myself have been working with our state representative to get “The Right to Hunt and Fish” added to the Washington State Constitution through a Joint Resolution (hopefully for 2022). As mentioned in episode 88, we are working with Clarence Rushing of BHA. We hope to gain traction and put the word out through podcasts such as yours once the joint resolution has been filed. Cheers!

This podcast is the reason I listen to podcast
California resident, but your guys podcast is great and you guys have me trying stuff I wouldn’t ever tried on my own. I spend a lot of time driving and the morning commute to work wouldn’t be the same without you guys and a cup of coffee. Keep doing what your doing. Sincerely hope you guys get your spring bear hunting back and wish you all a great season next year!

    Best hunting podcast
Keep up the great work! Listening to this podcast gets me excited to get outside as much as I can! On the way to work, back home, or to my hunting spot, this podcast is always on. It was awesome to find local podcasters to support which made it feel like listening to a conversation with a couple of friends. Even though I live out of state for the time being, listening to stories about chasing mule deer or black bear gets me excited to hunt wherever I’m at!
  • ZSichley
    Hands down best podcast!
Thanks guys for producing an amazing podcast that shares a lot of knowledge for us PNW hunters. Episodes you can listen to over and over again and never get tired of. Keep producing quality content and best of luck on all your future endeavors!
  • Crivdogg
    My Favorite Hunting Podcast!
I am a lifelong WA State Resident and Hunter. My first deer season was with my grandpa and uncles back in 1996 when I was 17. That was back before there was any Sitka, Kuiu or First Lite gear. Back then most of us wore the old Amy surplus wool pants and wool coats. A lot has changed since then. Gear has gotten lighter, better and a lot more expensive! It seems like there were always guys from other states who became voices for the hunting community or hunting “celebrities” but never anyone from Washington State. You guys saw a need and definitely filled a market niche. When I listen to your podcast I feel like I’m sitting down with some buddies having a beer and a normal conversation. I love how you guys are just normal dudes who love hunting. I can relate because that’s me too. Keep up the good work fellas, I appreciate it!
  • jlconant10
    Great podcast!
Their podcast with Robby Denning is one of the best mule deer podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Thanks guys!

Unfreakin Believable! I love the podcast and wait patiently for every one to drop. BUT THAT FILM! I enjoyed a few ice cold Lattes and watched it all unfold, unreal filming on your guys part and there is no doubt you earned every ounce of meat you packed off that mountain 👊🏾

    Tip
Jeff wear dress socks under your wool sock. It helps with keeping your feet dry and prevents blisters.

    Great podcast!
Love this podcast. Always gets me fired up to Hunt. Love the Washington State focus, represent! Appreciate the hustle. I like the live call-in hunting stories. You should have Tom Ryle on the podcast. He is a Blacktail hunting wizard and now works with WDFW. More blacktail and west side guest. Keep rockin!

    Hootin and hollerin
You guys are a freakin hoot and a half every episode. Your down to earth mentality and goofiness make you guys one of the most interesting podcasts out there. Dope like a root beer float down the throat.
It could get sweeter, but only with sprinkles on top. Or a 4 point with a tine that dropped. Do you want to listen to some mofos get you hyped for the season? Not that you really need another mother F’ing reason.... Check out PN to the wild. And don’t resist the smile. Cuz it’s going to make its presence on your face. So sit back, listen, and embrace. @soarnomore

If you hunt in WA you have to tune in to this podcast!
I am a huge fan of the podcast. Thanks for pumping out quality content. Check their YouTube channel too. The videos are very informative and fun to watch. I especially appreciate you advocating the bear hunting in Washington. We have a huge problem but there seems to be very little number of people understanding this, including wdfw… I really like Jacob joining the team. Such a good humble guy - baby faced assassin hunting wise. Best of luck and keep it up!
  • crmilli25
Real talk- real dudes- really good!
Give this podcast a shot, the more I listened the more I got to know these characters and and the heart they have for hunting the PNW. Keep up the great work dudes, thanks for your passion and willingness to share your knowledge.
  • chris s 07
    Top of my podcast list
If you live in the Pacific Northwest AND hunt - this is a must listen podcast. So nice to have a hunting podcast that primarily focuses on our corner of the country. When it comes to western hunting the PNW is generally overlooked. These guy dive deep into hunting and gear and are hilarious. If you haven’t watched their full length movie “Seeing It Through” check it out on YouTube, it is fantastic. So awesome to see Washington shine. I’ve had the chance to talk with the guys at the sportsmen show too, they are exactly as they seem - friendly, down-to-earth and funny. 100% 5 stars. I look forward to each new episode, one hundred percent!
  • BenWest32
    Keep em Coming!
Found your podcast last year and it got me out hunting for the first time. I really enjoy hearing your guys stories and I’ve torn through and re-watched a bunch of the YouTube’s to pickup more info. Special shout out to this last episode-my wife and I have horses and just got into packing last fall and been day dreaming about a pack hunt, and I think one is in the near future. You may have added one more hunter to the High Buck Hunt woods!
  • Eastsidebirdkilla
