Good podcast but they complain about warzone way too much even if it is pretty bad right now.

I found this podcast probably a year ago when I was playing Warzone. I have since stopped playing Warzone and am taking a break until BO6. I still continue to listen because the pod is just that good. Thanks guys keep it up.

Are used to really enjoy this podcast, but then, right around the turn of the new year, it started to take a really big nose dive in terms of content. Honestly, I’m just really annoyed with Tanner, he must be a miserable person because all he does is just say everything negative as if he’s the best COD player in the world. I think they take a lot of their content from streamers/creators. Mostly because they sound just like a lot of them and believe whatever they say. Honestly, if you really enjoy the game, it’s one thing but I think the smartest thing Activision is done in the past several years is begin to focus on their larger player base wants. Not talking heads.

Surprised it’s not more popular. Lots of good and controversial takes on the game. Interesting conversations and good chemistry between the 2 hosts. Keep up the good work Raz and Tanner!

Long time listener and generally enjoy the cast but you will beaten over he head by the hosts telling you about how if you have any complaints you are a casual console player and you should “git good” and play KBAM if you are serious. Then the next sentence they admit that CoD is the most casual shooter out there and people take this too seriously. Fantastic for information but the hosts genuinely love to boil everything down to console players complain too much and have a large advantage due to aim assist. This is a safe space they have created for mediocre KBAM players to vent about how they would be the best if not for aim assist and console players. One of the hosts even thinks he is an elite player by all his speech but in reality has a mediocre KD and plays far too often for his skill level to be where it is

Stay in your lane

Don’t just listen to the pod, join the discord community, great people of all skill levels. Also check out their website for live recordings of the pod at thedropshot.com. Tanner and Raz are incredibly entertaining and they do a great job giving you all the bits of information that are happening weekly in the COD world. The extra patreon episodes are incredibly insightful an entertaining as well.

Tanner carries the show. Once you get past the begging for money aspect of the show it’s great. The other “host” always talks over Tanner and contributes nothing to the overall quality of the show. I seem to only be waiting for him to be quite till Tanner can speak again.

You can get the entirety of the content by reading patch notes. Listen if you want to hear two dudes in their 30s complain for an hour.

These guys just whine and complain about everything. It’s an absolute chore to listen to them for more than a few minutes. For a franchise they enjoy enough to do a podcast on, but in turn do nothing but complain about, is simply odd. It is constant complaining about the gamers, they trash other gamers who like different game modes, it’s absolutely alienating to a podcast listener and does not want me to listen to their show. I respect everyones choices on what “they” want to play because they have the freedom to. It does not mean its ok to call them GARBAGE for enjoying dmz, or warzone, or any other game modes. Using adult terms to describe a halloween even in a game where in reality its a spooky plant with screen ooze is also not in good taste. I don’t like how they constantly trash. The people who worked really hard on the updates. These people sound like the people who post negative facts all the time, and they can’t defend it for themselves, all they do is hide behind a screen.

Great podcast

These guys are actually competent players compared to some other podcasts I’ve listened to like Goon Squad. They’re also probably two of the most toxic members of our cod community and god do I love them for that. Keep up the great work boys.

This is the pinnacle of a cod pod. There are no replacements or substitutes. They guys are funny, smart, informative, not total douche bags, and are brutally honest. If you are a long time cod/WZ player or looking to drop in for the first time, check out the dropshot podcast!!! Stay humble.

Starting listening for cod info, but quickly the cod info becomes secondary as the hosts have great banter and are just fun to listen to!

Some solid info to keep you up to date on everything COD. Unfortunately the hosts are just insufferable (particularly the one with the high voice), which I understand probably endears them to their target audience of 10-15yo boys but can be hard to listen to for someone with a fully developed brain. That said, there is a lot of good info in many episodes.

Listened to it for like 30 minutes and they were talking about dev errors and your game crashing and you can’t even reconnect and how little attention Activision pays to war zone

I wrote you guys a review around episode 30-40 and figured I’d write a new one. Take it from someone who doesn’t even play CoD anymore that these guys are as entertaining to someone who has no idea about the game as someone who plays everyday. I love the podcast and am glad to see you guys still going strong. P.S. Raz check out Athens, Ga and Rome, Ga. Great cities that are close to Atlanta but out of the heavy traffic.

Here’s a super hot take. JGOD, TGD, whosimmortal, and other content creators that surround their content with COD stats are the new QA team that developers are looking to now. This meaning that activision thinks that the community of players will give them enough feed back that the devs can adjust the game according to what ever these creators are exploiting or help exploit from their community. This one and “The Dropshot Bonus Episodes”. Worth every second. Truthfully the only casters you need for Call of Duty. They don’t put on masks, don’t sugarcoat… they just talk toward ya like they are in MW2 post-game chat! You’ll binge it, I promise

I ran across this podcast a couple of weeks ago looking for a good all-around call of duty and FPS game podcast. This one definitely made the cut! These guys make you want to listen to every episode and throw some humor in with it. Again love the podcast keep it up guys!

This show is trash. Run by two boys who don’t know what they are talking about and have terrible information about Call of Duty. One whose pompous ego could fill a concert hall and another who can’t stop vaping like it’s cool or something. Both of them admitted to being sniper campers and that’s how they win, and brag about it, but can’t discuss strategy. If you’re a real player and want good info then please pass on this. It’s not good for anyone. I could go on but they’re not worth it.

As a UPS driver from rural east Texas I spend a lot of time on boring backroads. I stumbled upon The Dropshot on Spotify several months ago around episode 140 and was immediately hooked! I went back to episode 1 and have now listened to all 180 episodes. Looking forward to diving into their bonus episodes on Patreon. Love these guys and love this podcast! STAY HUMBLE!
