V10264Excited to learn about these fellow parents in the Ds communityI just heard about this podcast while listening to The Office Ladies (I’m about a year behind). My first episode was your wedding anniversary which struck a chord as my husband and I just celebrated our 20th this fall. We also have two kids (our oldest has Down syndrome) - so I’m looking forward to hearing more insights from you guys! Thank you!

SprazEmpowering and HopefulThe interview with Jake Pratt was so wonderful. My first thought when I found out my baby would have Down syndrome was, “I will never get to take my child to college! He will never be independent, he will never drive!” And that is NOT TRUE! So grateful for Jake’s example.

DadvocateGuyThis podcast makes me smileStephen and Lori really put themselves out there in these wonderful, wide-ranging, and honest podcasts. As a dad of a young man with DS, it’s nice to tune in and listen to calm, thoughtful and deeply kind-hearted people covering personal subjects I don’t get around to (or avoid) thinking about. They make me think and smile, and that’s a gift. Thanks, Team Saux! ~ Brian, a dadvocate

BG & SLNon-judgemental & supportive insight“If when knew then” offers non-judgemental & supportive insight to anyone who is privleged enough to love or be involved with a child who has Down’s Syndrome. Stephen and Lori have an easy repartee while sharing personal stories and encouraging advice to parents, reminding them to build an accepting environment while celebrating their child’s individual milestones. They gently remind parents to be kind to themselves (and others!) while enjoyjng the journey with their child. We look forward to enjoyjng this podcast again in the future!

Mary_Orange_90If We Knew ThenThis podcast successfully walks the fine line of being engaging and providing useful information. While it provides useful content it is also an inspiration to keep fighting when it becomes difficult. While the focus is on Down Syndrome Advocacy, the inspiration is valuable to anyone fighting for a child with an IEP (and even those who don't have an IEP).

It's a great resource for parents and individuals who can directly apply all the knowledge and advice given from shared experiences in the episodes. watsa matta uHappy to be listening 👍👍👍I want to thank my friends Steve and Lori for their commitment to helping parents with children with Down syndrome. They have been a real beacon of light and information. I’ve learned so much from them, and I don’t have children, but I think it’s important for everyone understand what the challenges are to raise them. And how we non parents can understand a better way to react to these little blessings. Info and understanding is key. Thanks and much love to you both. David Ringwald ❤️❤️❤️

Evelyn PalmaGreat InformationThank you for putting this valuable information out there. Listening to you guys makes me want to advocate more for my son. I believe parents need to be informed to be able to help their kids, especially with this challenging time (Covid19.) I think not enough information is out there on what to do and what to expect from the schools. Thank you
-
