    Excellent accounts of engineers
I was looking for a interview of Jon Hirsctick for an article and stumbled on a treasure trove of engineering stories. Never have I seen such a collection of engineers telling their experiences! It reminds me of “Working,” by Studs Terkel, a haunting book about all sorts of jobs. But Aaron Moncur’s “Being an Engineer” is all about engineers, their jobs and their advice for other engineers — and frankly, I’d rather listen to a podcast than read a book.

For the love of Aaron and Raf
I’ve been listening to your podcast for a couple years now- every episode. It’s what got me to leave my dead end labor job and go back to school and finish out my ME degree; for my daughter’s future, and mine! I have always gotten that feeling of inadequacy that Raf has mentioned, and that’s part of what drove me away in the first place, but let me tell you something: we are as good as we make ourselves! After being out of school for three years and returning as a first semester senior, I finished out the first semester back on dean’s list.. for the first time ever! Anyway, just wanted to chime in and thank you for your wonderful podcast keeping me on beat with my aspirations!

Raf and Aaron are Amazing Hosts
Raf and Aaron’s contrasting interviewing styles are perfect for the podcast and bring variety to the listeners. I like how they take turns interviewing guests. Aaron should coin the term “kindergarten skills.”

    Valuable Insights for any Engineer
I am a young engineer working in design manufacturing and have found this podcast to be a great resource. The hosts, Aaron and Rafael, ask very good questions tailored to their guests’ experiences. For many episodes I have taken notes and applied some of the talking points to my own life and career. This is the most pertinent engineering podcast that I have found and would highly recommend it for any engineer who wants to improve themselves.

    I’ve learned so much!
As an engineering student, I have learned so much from the Being an Engineer podcast. The episodes are well structured and enjoyable. In addition, the podcast excels at hosting a variety of guests from different backgrounds and technical areas. As a student, it has opened my idea of what opportunities are available. As the introduction states, the podcast is a repository for knowledge. Again, the producer is incredible at hosting interesting and insightful industry professionals. These individuals are experienced and willing to share their knowledge. Truly, this podcast is a must listen too. In fact, some of the insight I’ve learned from the podcast has helped me advance in my professional career.
