Great podcast for intermediate Spanish listeners
This podcast is great for intermediate learners. The subjects are very interesting and easily followed. The Spanish is spoken slow enough for me to understand and with a more neutral accent. Mostly interesting subjects

    Great resource to learn Spanish
Although much more advanced than my mid beginner level, I listen daily to your podcast while walking my dog or exercising and use the transcripts to translate and fully understand the conversations. Most of the topics are interesting. Jim sounds like a native speaker. Quite an inspiration. Both Jim and May have a soothing and pleasing voice. I love your podcast. Keep up the awesome work !

    Amazing source of comprehensible input
I discovered this podcast a bit over a month ago and have listened to 143 episodes in that short period of time. The episode topics are engaging and the hosts speak clearly and at a great pace.

    coloreame impresionado

    Great Podcast for Dreaming Spanish
I’ve been learning through comprehensible input, using Dreaming Spanish. At around 300 hours I started to find Jim and Mae comprehensible. I love their conversational style, I find the breakdowns super helpful, and the contents are interesting to me which really helps get the hours in when I’m on the go.

    Great Learning Speed
Jim and May talk at a very good pace. Not too fast and not too slow. They speak clearly and share interesting stories about their lives. The transcripts are also very helpful to read along with!

    Favorite Spanish podcast
The show is interesting, Jim and May are enjoyable to listen to and just seem like nice people. The Spanish is slow enough to be accessible and yet not so slow as to feel unnatural.

    Accessible for the beginning intermediate
Like most people have commented, the show is just right, in both speed and vocabulary, for intermediates who still need things to be a bit slower and clearer. Many shows that I have looked at are just too fast with words mumbled together in a rapid fire heap. Hopefully, someday I will be able to decipher this type of Spanish, as it seems like this is the way most Spanish speakers converse. But for now, these guys are just right.

    Really Great Spanish Podcast
While learning Spanish during this year I’ve listened to and been exposed to dozens of podcasts and web shows. This particular show rises to the top. The show is interesting and funny and clearly presented. It’s really easy to understand if you are an intermediate level Spanish speaker or above. For me, it’s like they are speaking to me in English - but they’re not! Interesting topics presented in intermediate level Spanish centered around the culture and accent of Mexico making it perfect for someone like me in Southern California.

    Fantastica
Really great podcast for intermediate learners. They speak at a great speed and the sound quality is the best out there. Interesting topics most of the time and the episode generally clock in at 30 minutes. Really helpful and enjoyable. Thank you.

I look forward to these every week!
Jim and May, thank you for putting these podcasts together and keeping them interesting, relevant, and concise! Jim’s Spanish is so good and encourages me to continue improving mine. I appreciate that May corrects him (although it’s not very often!). Definitely appreciate the episode about the expat paradigm - it’s very relatable to me as a Nashvillian living in Costa Rica.

    I Love It!
Been listening in spring 2023 and I really love it. I can understand these lectures podcasts more than any others I have listened to. And they are entertaining and educational.

    Great for practicing listening
Between working, family, and college, I can have a hard time finding time to practice Spanish. This podcast has been a huge help because I can do things like cleaning or cooking, and listen to the podcast at the same time. I love that I can understand almost everything they say, and can use context clues to figure out the rest. They speak clearly, and are easy to follow. The podcasts have been interesting and enjoyable. I love that I’m not only learning Spanish, but that I’m learning other things that are important to the language at the same time.

#1 Spanish listening podcast out there!
I was so blessed to come across Spanish and Go podcast. Listening to them has definitely improved my listening skills plus improved my understanding of the Latin world. My wife was born in Mexico City and enjoys listening to Jim and May. I feel I’m closer to a fluency level now due to this podcast. I find myself binge listening one show after another. They speak clearly and at a pace I can keep up with. They deserve our support. :) Thank you Jim and May

    Best Spanish language podcast!
I recently started listening to "Learn Spanish and Go" with hosts Jim and May and I must say, it's one of the best Spanish language learning podcasts out there. The podcast is entirely in Spanish, which is great for people like me who want to improve their listening and comprehension skills. Jim and May are fantastic hosts, and they have a great dynamic on the show. They speak clearly and at a pace that's easy to follow, making it perfect for Spanish learners of all levels. What's great about the show is that it not only helps you improve your language skills, but it also provides insight into the cultural differences between the U.S. and Latin American countries. Each episode covers interesting topics that are relevant to everyday life, and they are always engaging and informative. Whether it's about food, music, or travel, there is always something new to learn on "Learn Spanish and Go". I particularly love how the hosts incorporate listener questions and feedback into the show, making it feel like a community. Overall, "Learn Spanish and Go" is a fantastic podcast for anyone who wants to improve their Spanish skills and learn more about the Latin American culture. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an entertaining and educational way to learn Spanish.

The best I’ve tried so far.
There are a number of good Spanish resources and people online, but Jim and May are the best so far, for me at least. Miss the YouTube videos though.

    Excellent resource for comprehension skills
This is a great resource for hiking in your comprehension skills. I’ve been speaking broken Spanish most of my life because I am part Mexican but never learned to speak fluently. The problem I always seem to run into is that I know far too much to take a Spanish course starts you off from beginner level and I get bored right away. I just started listening to this podcast and I’ll replay certain words/phrases I don’t know and learn what they mean so I can replay the episode and follow along easier. I also play the episode at 75% speed to help me discern individual words during the conversation. I signs up for a 3 day trial but that only included the episode breakdown and not the transcripts. I’ll give it some time and may end up opting for the subscription that includes transcripts. Really glad I came across this resource.

    The best.
This Podcast has been the single greatest tool for reaching a middle to upper intermediate level of Spanish in a year - it was my goal for my 40th birthday, to learn Spanish by my 41st. I got to upper beginner using Duolingo and realized I needed to add more listening and so I have listened to around half of their episodes so far and there is just so much great content. It's hard to beat hours and hours of high quality audio of intermediate Spanish conversation. I won't mention any names but the audio quality on most other podcasts that I have tried is sub-par. Jim's audio background has given them a very real advantage. Combine that with May's command of the English language as well as her education background and you have a power couple. Thanks guys for the unbelievable amount of time that you must spend on this. Can't wait to meet you on a retreat some time!

Good podcast, but they say “así es” way too much
I’ve been listening to this for several months now and like it overall. I’m particular, I like the episodes focused on culture and history in the Spanish speaking world, such as their episode on the Mexican xoloitzcuintle dogs, traditional pre-Colombian drinks and foods, etc. I like the conversational style podcasts like this where they can go back and forth talking. The only complaint I have is their use of “así es”, which is too much in my opinion. I’ve never heard people use this phrase so frequently and sometimes it just seems like it can make up half the words spoken in a podcast. That said, I still give it a 5/5.

    Effective, Motivating and Interesting
I’m so thankful for this podcast, Learn Spanish and Go with Jim and May. My Spanish listening comprehension has dramatically improved as a result of their podcast, along with the transcript membership. I look forward to each new topic discussed and appreciate how interesting and effective they have made learning for me.

    Wow.
Thank you guys. For this amazing podcast. Even back before I understood a lot what was being said I could feel the energy of this podcast, so I could just tell the dynamic was fun and genuine. and once I could understand, even if just a little bit, I was entertained by the topics as well. I can now understand almost every word and at this point can follow the topics even better. I really enjoy this podcast. Can’t recommend it enough. If you are wanting to learn Spanish and have ANY doubt at all, let me tell you something. You can do it. I wasn’t really sure how, I didn’t really like fully believe I could, it just seemed like something you had to start doing when you were a child, but it’s NOT!!!! The day I decided to just go for it, after I watched a woman on YouTube switch quickly between Spanish and English, this flame inside me was ignited, I just wanted to learn so bad, so thereafter I began my journey, exposing myself to Spanish every day. And I was able to see results within months. The most important 3 things I can share with you is: 1. Consistency (even if it’s as small as one Duolingo lesson) 2. Listen to the language (even if you don’t fully understand, like for example how could you learn to skateboard if you never stand on one? You need to feel the board, you can read all you want about how it works, and Watch videos but in the end you’ll eventually have to step on your own board and ride it. Language is meant to be spoken and heard in the end, so practice that from the beginning. 3. FAITH (Have faith in yourself, and believe that you will achieve it, don’t let mistakes get to you, every single one is a stepping stone on ur journey. I don’t know why my faith was so strong, I really had no specific reason but I just believed whole hearted, kept going, and never gave up) And finally to close, I am now a year and one month into my journey and I am currently looking for flights to go to Jim y May’s Spanish immersion retreat!!! I’m so excited!!! And so grateful for the help they have given me with this podcast. Gracias Jim Y May, y hasta pronto!!!

    Perfect for your virtual immersion!
I am so thankful to have found your podcast. I have tried many podcasts in my quest to learn Spanish but for one reason or another, they didn’t work for me. After one episode, I knew I’m hooked. I listen to you guys when I’m driving, picking up and dropping my kids to school or going to work. I am a Bulgarian girl living in Southern California learning Spanish. I relate to the episodes about living outside of your home country, I love the cultural references about Mexico since the reason I’m studying Spanish is because we are so close to Mexico and there are so many people with Mexican heritage living here. I am so happy that I have so many episodes to listen to since I just started about a month ago! I easily listen to 2-3 per day! Keep up the amazing work! Maybe one day I’ll join you on one of your retreats! Espera me!

    I LOVE this podcast!
My goal is to learn Mexican Spanish. Listening to May and Jim talk about the language and travel has really helped me train my ear and get some insights into how to use the language correctly. Someday I hope to participate in one of their language retreats.

    Love this Podcast
I’m at an intermediate level in Spanish, and have been listening to Spanish and Go for a couple of months. It’s really helped me to increase my listening comprehension, learn new vocabulary, while at the same time getting very useful information on traveling in Latin America. Plus, it’s just fun listening to how Jim and May interact with each other. Highly recommended!

    Excellent Spanish language podcast
Great for intermediate listening practice. Highly recommend. Very clear, interesting topics, nice people. Professional, yet personal. I like the contrast of the native speaker with the speaker who has learned Spanish as a second language very well (I dream of speaking at his level someday).

Great podcast for working on your Spanish
May and Jim provide a great method for brushing up on your Spanish and learning about Latin America. I hope I’ll be able to attend one of their classes on Guanajuato.

Just a fun and fantastic podcast
If you want to listen to a chill podcast made by two people who speak Spanish very clearly and understandably, practice your listening skills, build your vocabulary, and learn all about the Spanish speaking world all at the same time, this show is for you. Two thumbs up.

    Incredibly helpful
Since retiring I decided to learn Spanish. My husband and I travel around the world and are considering living in a Spanish speaking country for a month or more. This podcast is so much fun and is significantly helping my comprehension. I listen to it while relaxing at home or turn it on while driving or walking the dogs. The topics are terrific and interesting. Jim and May are a young couple with a lot of energy. It is quite obvious how much they love teaching. I find that then translates to motivating me to learn. Highly recommended!

    Excelente podcast
Acabo de encontrar Spanish and Go y me encanta. Cuando May corrige a Jim (quien por cierto, habla super bien el español) me ayuda mucho ya que los angloparlantes tienden a cometer errores parecidos. Es obvio que ustedes le echen muchas ganas a su trabajo. Gracias por su buen empeño

    The podcast I always recommend
In the last few months I’ve been trying to work hard to become legitimately conversational in Spanish. This podcast is my #1 listening resource. Any time the subject of Spanish learning resources comes up, whether I’m with fellow learners or italki tutors or whomever, I’m always making sure people know about “Learn Spanish and Go.” I do my best to mix it up by listening to other Spanish audio resources too, but every time I come back to this one, it has that feeling of sitting down and chatting with old friends. Thank you Jim and May!!

    Mi favorite Spanish podcast
I started my Spanish-learning journey with Duolingo and quickly understood that I needed to hear more spoken Spanish on top of that. I found Jim and May’s videos on YouTube and quickly discovered that they have a podcast as well. After listening to a couple of episode I was totally hooked! I feel like my spoken Spanish improved tenfold simply by listening to each episode and writing down new words and phrases. I also travel to Mexico from time to time so it’s very nice to learn more about its culture from the podcast. Needless to say, Jim and May feel like good friends to me now after listening to so many episodes and getting to know them. Thank you for your amazing content and please keep them coming ❤️

    Great when paired with classes
I use this podcast alongside my Spanish high school class, and I think it works great to keep my listening skills up to date. It has some new words for me while I’m still able to understand what they are saying. Just for reference I am on a level 5 Spanish class. But I think I could have used these as soon as level 3. Amazing topics too ❤️

A must listen to for Intermediate Learners
Been listening to this podcast since the day I could barely understand spoken Spanish. To today, where I can understand 95%. There is never a boring episode. I don’t feel like I even need to browse to find the right episode. I just notice that they have a new one, and I click it because I know it’s going to be worth my time. Even if I wasn’t learning Spanish, I would find Jim y May interesting.

    Compelling Podcast in Intermediate Spanish
I’m obsessed with this podcast and can’t stop listening. The topics are interesting and in-depth, but the language is approachable for someone still learning at the intermediate level. The hosts have compelling conversations that seem natural, although they’ve clearly well researched and planned each episode. Because the intro is in English, it took me some time to realize just how good this is for someone who wants to listen to podcast that are digestible in Spanish. The breakdown episodes are also interesting for the way they pick out phrases and discuss their significance to make them more memorable.

This podcast is a perfect level for high beginner/intermediate Spanish learners. It’s hard to find material at this level, so I am so grateful to have discovered this podcast! ¡Gracias!

    Great show
I couldn’t recommend this higher for an intermediate Spanish speaker looking to learn about language and culture. I genuinely like Jim y Mai and look forward to hearing them discuss whatever interesting topic they come up with for each show.

So helpful and fun to listen to!
This is my first time reviewing a podcast - I’m doing it because this one is truly exceptional. Jim y Mai converse at a level that facilitates learning in a fun and real world context. Their pace is great and I feel the right blend of reinforcement of terms and phrases with challenge for new ones. Thank you!
