Love listening to The Print Design Academy Pod Cast. PDA is an inspiration for both aspiring designers

As a lover of print, I really enjoy that this is a podcast dedicated to this medium and appreciate the approach through interviews with amazing designers whose processes you’re always curious about. It is led with an upbeat and casual tone that keeps it entertaining while still insightful and without feeling boring. Great listen.

The Print Design Podcast is a must listen, Dave always brings great guests. Designers oof all levels should make this part of their regimen of staying on tiop of things “design”. Always fun, very educational and inspiring. Seriously I look forward to every episode. When is the next ONE!

Dave does such a good job with this podcast. His genuine enthusiasm for the craft keeps it fresh and his guests are top notch. One of my dead on favorites.

I log into The Print Design Podcast while working on print projects of my own. And I do it because the interviews are not only entertaining, but make me feel better about some of the joys and pitfalls that I’ve had running my own studio. Thank you Dave Hopkins for creating such an instructional and humorous series that is made for graphic designers working on the front lines.

As a guest of this podcast, it was a pleasure to be interviewed by Dave and go in detail into print technicalities with someone that is passionate and knowledgeable about the subject. As a listener of this podcast, it is a pleasure to hear so many people talk in detail about print. This is a great way to learn about print if you are starting out or keep up with it if you’ve been doing it for a while.

Really intriguing topics on this podcast that cut out the BS and gets straight to the education that we all so desperately seek. Great advice and tips from leaders of the industry!

Still mapping out my path to a career in packaging design and it’s definitely an asset to hear how others have done it and what they struggled/excelled with.

I was turned on to the Print Design Podcast after listening to Dave’s other design podcast, The Quickie. I listened to that podcast, in chronological order, episode 1 to episode 215 while carrying the mail for the USPS. I ran out of episodes of The Quickie, so this podcast arrived just in time! I hate to make this at all about me, but I work full time for the USPS, I’m a half time graphic design student, with a BFA in animation, and I’m interning remotely for an agency in Hong Kong. My time is at a premium. I could listen to anything, but I listen to this. The Print Design podcast is getting me through my days at work. Dave’s questions are so pointed and incisive. This podcast feels like a direct extension of The Quickie in that it takes the interviews the extra mile. I’m on the print track in my studies, so I’m getting advice, insight, and information that feels tailored for me. As someone who is more concerned with the, “why” of design, the format of this show gets right to the heart and provides interviewees with the freedom to delve deeply into the psychology, meaning, and importance behind their work. Really great stuff. P.S. I actually listen to this podcast through another service, but I couldn’t figure out how to leave a review there. I’ve never left a review for anything before, so I came here to share some love. Keep up the good work Dave. You’re providing an entertaining education for me while I’m popping mail in boxes.

What a great podcast about print design! Print is not dead like some people may think and I think it’s so important as designers to learn about it no matter what type of designer you are. This podcast is off to a great start and I can’t wait to hear more episodes. Definitely worth a listen!

Fantastic podcast! Just like its sister, The Quickie Podcast, this show also really gets at the minutiae of print design. It’s great listening to the conversations because not only do they make you think, it gets at the the day to day challenges of working designers—the successes, the mistakes, the technical, and the creative. It’s an awesome resource. Can’t wait to see more of this! (Listen! It’s a Helvetica good time 😉)
