    Grateful we found you!
At just the right time, my dog and I have found your highly informative, motivating and inspiring show. I feel so much more empowered to help my bestie/soul dog gracefully navigate her senior years. Thanks to this show, I know I can be a better advocate at the vet and it’s comforting to me as well to find content that also addresses the challenges for dog parents adjusting to this rich, but often bittersweet phase of life. ❤️💯

    Thank you!
This podcast is amazing! Monica’s expert advice helps me keep my senior dog Osita healthy and happy. This podcast is my number one resource for how to care for Osita as she ages and I’m so grateful for all of the advice and wisdom Monica shares here.

    Disappointing
This had the potential to be a great podcast. Unfortunately, after listening to the long winded wind up, we only get to hear about their senior pets vs senior pets in general.

Just What I Needed as a Senior Dog Mom
Every topic Dr. Tarantino covers is relevant to me as a senior dog mom. She does so in a way that’s easy to follow/understand, while also providing comfort as she hits the issues that I am definitely anxious about. I love that she includes examples from her experiences with her own dogs, it’s the veterinary knowledge that I certainly don’t have with the perspective of a dog mom (which is the part I relate to!).

Means the world to a senior dog mom
This podcast is a fast favorite of mine! I appreciate it so so much. Every episode covers topics that have been on my mind for years but have never really had a chance to meaningfully discuss with my vet. It means so much to finally have trustworthy answers to all of my senior dog questions. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    Sooner
I just came across your podcast today. I wish I would’ve listen to your podcast sooner. My dog recently passed and I can’t help but feel I did many things wrong. He was diagnosed with a rare type of lymphoma and we went through 4 different treatments and we were going to start a fifth treatment and that’s when he dramatically declined. He just turn 12 when he passed and it out isn’t the same. I never took him to the vet before except as a puppy. Then last year at the beginning of the year I decided to get him checked out because I noticed a decline in his behavior. They said he looked great and I was happy. I began to feel lumps on his lymphnodes and googled it if course and I took him to the vet the next day. They had to do multiple test because none of the test were coming back conclusive. They then diagnosed him and the journey began. After his first treatment he perked back up and I honestly thought he would beat it. My doctors were great and I feel they did the best to their ability but I also wish I would’ve done more or even ask the right questions. I wish I would checked him out every year like you suggested and did certain things to prolong a healthy life for my boy. This has been a huge learning experience and having your podcast really brings awareness to us pet owners. So thank you very much!

    Outstanding
I am so grateful there is a podcast talking about our senior fur babies! Dr. Tarantino is so knowledgeable and engaging to listen to. 10/10 must listen. I appreciate her accurate information about hot topics like grain - free and raw diets. There is so much false information about them being good diet for pets. I can not thank her enough for speaking about it from an educated and up-to-date perspective.

    Mixed feelings
I was really excited to find this podcast as my Shiba Inu Neko is 14 and dealing with arthritis. I love all the information regarding what to look for and the recent interview about stem cell therapy. On the other hand, I was appalled at the recommendation for those grain-filled kibble prescription diets. Anyone who is well-versed in animal care should know that a raw grain-free species-appropriate diet is best.

    Thank you!
This is the information I’ve been looking for since the day I brought my soul dog home. I’m learning how to honor him, and how beautiful life can be at the end, too. Thank you, Dr. Tarantino. We’re both happier because of your podcast.

So helpful for these special doggos
Love all the tips and what to be on the lookout for!! I volunteer in a rescue and some of Dr Tarantino’s info can be so helpful with potential adopters thinking about an older dog. It’s so hard to think about our own pets getting older but being on top of things EARLY can help them so much later on!

Wonderful and so necessary to improve the lives of senior pets
As a fellow veterinarian, I cannot recommend this podcast enough. Dr. Tarantino shares her knowledge and wisdom about recognizing signs of aging, pain, and options to increase the quality/quantity of a pet’s life

    Vet Approved!
I’m a veterinarian but I don’t practice small animal medicine. I have two aging dogs, and this podcast has been so helpful for me to be the best senior dog mom I can be. So much of this isn’t taught in vet school, and since I don’t practice small animal medicine I often find myself needing a vet if my own. Dr. Tarantino has been so so helpful and I’m super grateful for this podcast!
