    Give me life!
If you love 1923, this podcast is a must-listen. The hosts break down every scene with such passion and insight, making me appreciate the show even more. Their deep dives into character arcs, historical context, and behind-the-scenes details give me life! It’s like reliving the best moments of 1923 with fellow fans who truly get it. Can’t recommend it enough!

    For the love of history
I have such an appreciation for the history and facts that are discussed on this podcast! The details matter! And you hit the mark with the details every single episode.

    Late and clueless
We have to wait so long to get any feedback on the current shows… They’re super late in posting. And then when they finally do post, they have the dumbest questions and have no concept of who the characters are. Continually say that such and such was out of character for this person when it clearly was not out of character at all. Could not disagree more strongly. That’s some time, I will never get back

    Started Strong but...
Disclaimer: I've only listened to the 1923 podcast (not Yellowstone). I really liked the show at first (despite Mike's totally unnecessary and misplaced fbombs). They do a lot of research and give good historical context and show insights. However, after listening to several shows, Mike's relationship to his co-host becomes uncomfortably hostile. The best way to describe it is passive aggressive bullying...and unfortunately she gives in far too easily. Also: last episode...ok, so it didn't go the way Mike wanted it to... we get it.... but he spends half the podcast fbombing about it. How about wait until season 2 and realize that Taylor Sheridan is a master story teller and probably knows what he's doing. I'll still listen, but hope they read this and maybe change their dynamic a bit ?

    So much fun!
I just found this podcast after I finished watching 1923 and wanted to dive into it with other fans. This podcast is filled with so much great stuff - history, thematic ideas, deep dives, and more. I am thoroughly enjoying their take and am looking forward to following along live for the second season. I also think I am going to listen to the 1883 podcast with them since I am liking 1923 so much. Keep up the great work!

    Amazing, thorough, informative and entertaining!
Excellent! The hosts such great chemistry. So nice to listen to a series break-down that isn’t just a beat-by-beat narration. They give thematic context and Mike does amazing contextual research! They aren’t just fanbois as they call out inconsistencies and criticize when they feel it appropriate! (Disagreed with you guys on champagne-belt hookers - I loved it, but agree we need penises too 😅)

    Best ‘1923’ Coverage
Mike & Caroline do a fabulous job (95% better than the two ladies who cover ‘Yellowstone’). Great in depth discussion about each episode. Love it; keep up the good work. Hope you two will cover the announced sequel, ‘1944’.

    Good Clean Fun
It’s like we are sitting around and talking about the show together. I like the way you use clips from the show to set the discussion. Thank you for doing this.

    Great Deep Dive
I love how much passion these two have for the Yellowstone family and 1923. They go on major deep dives every week. They are funny and so engaging. They do historical research, trivia that ties back to the show, and occasional current pop culture references. Highly recommended as a companion to the show!

    Yellowstone
It’s great to watch the show then listen to y’all afterwards. It makes the experience even better.

    1923
I love♥️these two! They are in tune to each other…and the show. The history and personalities lend to the story. I especially enjoy the history involved with each episode. I’m kind of OCD when it comes to history! The writing is acknowledged, which is superb!

    Get rid of Mike
The Yellowstone reviews are quality. The 1883 and 1923 reviews are brutal. Caroline is fine but Mike's incessant complaining about anything and everything and nonstop cursing are insufferable.

Ready to take this podcast up a notch!
I want to love this podcast (since it was the only one for a long time) though I agree with other reviewers who mention that alternative perspectives from additional hosts are needed, because the two original hosts are *very* similar in their thinking and interpretation. Also I agree that the recap format of the show episode needs to be much tighter. I don’t mind a “first impressions” reactionary introduction to the podcast before digging into the episode, or a sidebar here and there as the show is discussed that shows the personality of the hosts — but it’s always sounded a bit more like I was overhearing two people talk about this over brunch, not making a professional podcast to cover each episode for the masses. I’ve been a huge fan of Bald Move’s Game of Thrones podcast style, so maybe my review is my projection of me wanting the Yellowstone podcast to be more like that. I’m not for replacing the hosts of this Yellowstone podcast, but would love to see them evolve this podcast to be more in-depth and have additional perspectives and theories on what’s going on. That said, I confess that I listened to season 3 (haven’t dialed back to 1-2 yet) and am part way through season 4. I did skip ahead after the show finale this week and listened to its podcast episode and was pleasantly surprised to hear additional voices and perspectives. Maybe there were too many people on the line (as one review noted), but I do recall enjoying that episode more for the variety of thoughts and perspectives, which also kept the sidebar chatter contained and not running too long. Looking forward to rolling back to where I left off and seeing where that came from!

    Do Your Homework
Would love to give these two nice girls a five star but can not due to the fact that the recaps are not done in chronological order, talking about their opinion on what happened in the scene BEFORE they set the scene and tell what happened. When they do discuss the action in each episode, you would not ever be able to figure out the scene from the terrible description. Is that not the point of a recap?? They need to do their homework before they record. Be more prepared. The vocal tic of the word “like” in nearly every sentence is maddening.

    Best, Most Comprehensive & Knowledgeable
Phew! It’s a little hard to keep up with all these two hosts cover in an episode. But this pair is one of the few TV show recappers I’ll follow. Having a host who actually reads history is quite an advantage for a show like this. No fluffy talk, no inane questions (that no one thinks to Google!,) not just gaga over all the hot cowboys (and they are!) - Caroline and Mike are the best. Thoughtful deep dives into the story, background, themes, and content. All kudos very well deserved.

    Could be a 5 Star instead 1
This podcast could easily be a five star podcast. Interesting and intelligent hosts talking about a well written TV show with well-rounded characters in intriguing stories. Instead this podcast is about the worst technically. It comes across as a podcast that’s recorded with two soup cans and a string. The first couple episodes from this season are nearly unlistenable. This has been a problem from the first podcast, terrible production quality.A third grader with an iPhone could produce something of better quality than this. It’s too bad because everything else they nail.

    1883
I listen to a lot of podcasts about all kinds of things, but this is probably my favorite one. The way Mike and Caroline dissect and breakdown each episode of 1883 is amazing. The clips they pull from the episode and then the discussion they have about it is so enjoyable. I love their thoughts and opinions and I can’t give this podcast enough stars. It’s something I looked forward to every week and I’m gonna miss it so much now that 1883 ended!

    Great find
So glad I found this podcast. I can never get enough of 1883. It was fun to listen to the two of you dissect each episode.

    Overly dramatic
I am a huge fan of Yellowstone and listen to numerous podcasts that follow the show. For the most part I enjoy the Yellowstone podcast on Pod Clubhouse. Stef and Sheila provide really concise and detailed reviews of the show, but I’m having a real hard time with the forced laughter and spur of the moment jokes that fall flat. Also, Sheila’s audio randomly echos. Hopefully that can be fixed.

Great analysis from all of the hosts!
Keep up the good work, I want to listen to you for season 5

    Good recap show
I like the thorough review of each episode. 1883 is a complex show with a lot of hidden treasures, some of which I miss. I always rewatch the show after hearing the recap and understand more of it.

    Deep dive into the show
I enjoy listening to this podcast after the show. They catch a lot of details and connect so many events from prior seasons (the sweat lodge for Tate and recalling that back to season 1 with Kayce comes to mind). I appreciate the attention to detail they pay to each episode. I’m really enjoying the interviews and guests this season. This is a quality production!

Get Rid of the Co workers
Love you two but the other people are hurting the show, go back to old format please, too many voices.

    PLEASE FIX AUDIO
Love listening but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix Steph’s audio! It is so hard to keep listening to the sounds you don’t normally hear when people speak (every inhale and lip smack) and I have to adjust my volume because she is so much louder than everyone else.

Enjoyable - without the background music!
I have been enjoying listening to Stef and Sheila cover season 4…but the background track y’all use has got to go! I keep thinking there’s something going on in my house or that my kids are crying or something when I listen during nap time!
  • AFBrian2002
    Background music
I’m a new listener this season. In general the show seems ok, but I’ve not made up my mind. A few things. Whatever you are adding to the background, change it. It’s not suitable and becomes a distraction after a while. It sounds science fictiony. Also, it sounds like you both are on zoom. Whichever one of you is dialing in, your sound is too sharp and doesn’t sound natural, somewhat tin sounding. There are a lot of good podcasts out there that has solved these issues, so if this is a well rated program, I think you’ve reason to figure it out. Again, that background sound…ugh. This isn’t a UFO abduction podcast.

    Disappointing
Scrap this show and listen to “The Dutton Report” instead. While I’m sure these ladies are lovely people and seem to enjoy the show, they spend way too much time discussing how they can’t recall any details and “should” be more on top of information than they do actually discussing the episodes. There’s no depth here, no research or insight beyond the recollection of your drunk girlfriend who watched the show while doing her nails and not paying full attention. I could do without the laughing at each other’s lame inside jokes and more content.

    Not a comprehensive Podcast
I was hoping to find a multitude of Yellowstone podcasts given how this series has exploded in popularity over its last couple seasons, but this is one of the only podcasts I found. Unfortunately, it’s not as insightful as I would have thought, since the show is very complex. The hosts’ thinking doesn’t often seem logical or match up closely to the deeper meanings of what the show is really trying to get at. They don’t seem to thoroughly understand different subjects and characters within the show, which is fine I guess, if it’s going to remain an obscure/basic/goofy analysis. I think bringing on another host who knows more about ranching, horses, weaponry, or who has done deeper dives of shows, etc. would really benefit this show. The two hosts seem to have similar backgrounds which limits their insight. It helped only a little bit when the ladies had the other two people on to analyze S4E3 to expand on other views.

    Great Job!
I binged watched all of the seasons the week before Season 4 dropped, without even knowing it was coming, talk about lucky!!! After I watched the episodes Sunday I needed to engage with someone about this show and hopefully get an answer or two. You ladies did a great job of meeting that need. Keep it up.
  • DrKoob
Do you really know this show? And get on with it.
It was bad enough that it took almost 20 minutes before they got to discussing the first episode but they I wonder if they understand how the television business works. They went through an entire thing about who they thought was going to die after last season’s finale. Or might still die this year. Their number one pic—John Dutton. Really? Ladies, when Taylor Sheridan and the other creators of this show pitched it, I can just hear them saying, “It’s a modern day western set in Montana.” And the guys at Paramount saying, “Not a lot of big westerns right now.” And then the creators said two words that sold the series: Kevin Costner. The idea of Yellowstone without Kevin is kind of ludicrous. Another interesting idea they floated was that Jamie is the master planner of the ambush. Jamie is fairly smart so when he decides to kill off his entire family he doesn’t assign anyone to kill the one man who would get vengeance on anyone and everyone who killed John or Beth—Rip. He’s the one you kill first. He’s the most dangerous. If you like illogical thinking and two people blathering on for half an hour before they finally get around to talking about the show. Do all those announcements at the end of the show so those of us who are only there to discuss Yellowstone can skip them. There has to be a better Yellowstone podcast.

Good but wish they paid more attention
For people that are able to watch the show before any of us they miss a lot of details. I enjoy the conversation that they have between each other. I find it kind of ironic that two women who seem “very city like” are doing a podcast on Yellowstone. Overall they are super interesting and funny. I have to agree I hate musical episodes as well.

I caught up on Yellowstone seasons 1-3 over the summer and couldn’t wait for season 4. I searched for podcasts about the show and so glad I found this one. I truly enjoyed my first listen.

I’m gearing up for Season 4
I’m so happy I found this podcast! They went back and dove into season 1 and 2, which is how I got here. I’m getting ready for season 4 and listening to the hosts break down the characters and events makes me connect things I missed just watching it. Looking forward to more from Stef and Sheila!

    Great pod
They don’t know much about the guns or military but rather then that it’s a great podcast 5/5
  • Maggs-O
I like the deep dive into all things Yellowstone
I am really enjoying the rewind to the earlier seasons so they get the deep dive attention too. Stef & Sheila bring such fun to the conversation, I really look forward to these podcasts. I highly recommend!
  • SweetCaroline2020
    Fun and informative!
Stef & Sheila have so much fun talking everything YELLOWSTONE !!
  • SryChrlie
    Love Yellowstone
The hosts aren’t particularly insightful or trained in any relevant specialty like film studies—it’s more like character analysis by sophomores. But they clearly love the show and enjoy rehearsing the blow-by-blow. It’s a fine way to augment and extend the pleasure of the show.
  • LLD3443
    Great Podcast
I look forward to this weekly podcast!
