PeaysBoonie can’t resist making it about himI love this podcast but I can’t get over how Boone always has to bring the storyline back to him. Most anecdotes are interesting, but it very often kills the mojo of the conversation. The guest shares something cool but instead of asking a follow up question to take the point deeper, he steers it back to himself adding how that story relates to his career. Just wish he’d ask the follow up question to the guest so it goes deeper, but still love the podcast.

Greg WhymanBest baseball podcast around! If you only listen to one baseball podcast make sure it’s the Bret Boone podcast. Inside baseball podcast and Bret tells it like it is. Great guests and Bret is a natural at interviewing.

OTR88Jim Day InterviewI’ve always wondered what happened to Bret Boone. Well I was glad to catch Jim Day’s interview on Saturday during one of the innings. I was glad to hear of his Podcast he has and subscribed to it. Really enjoyed when both Bret and Aaron played for the Reds. They both brought a lot of energy and excitement to the team. Course now Bob Boone was a little before my time. A lot of baseball history with the Boone family. Their one of six third generation MLB families. Look forward to listening to Bret’s podcast.

Notsoshort personLove listening to but if Rich could stop talking over him that would be great 🤙🏻Favorite player along with JR... Boonie the stories of playing days are the best. Keep it up

JohnCzech23This podcast is great.Except for Rich Herrera. He’s unbearable and it’s an instant skip for every “Turning Two” episode they make. He non-stop interrupts Bret, brings nothing constructive to any conversation, and he sounds like he’s out of breathe and sweating after every sentence. Love the pod but wish they’d can the Turning Two one.

Talkin'BaseballGreat InterviewerI listen to various podcasts but Boone is one of my go to shows. He is a great interviewer as he does not interrupt when the guest is in the middle of a story etc. It is amazing all the great personalities he has on the show. Keep up the good work.

Boyo1957Never a bad episodeBret’s show is great because a) he does his homework before the interview and leads the subject matter in a fun and informative way and b) he has so many great experiences and stories of his own to share the guest ends up asking a lot of questions to Bret and it’s just a fun back and forth. The hour plus goes by quickly and I always want to come back for more.

JoCo2222Awesome untold stories with continually great guestsIt’s so hard to find a podcast today where you can guarantee that 1) previously untold stories will he told and 2) there’s a good guest every single time. Vida Blue, Reggie Jackson, Mike Schmidt... you name it. Throwback names with little nuggets - that’s what makes a great pod. Awesome stuff.

BrentH320One of My FavoritesBret, this is such a great podcast! I grew up in Cincinnati idolizing you & Larkin and how you played the middle infield for those Reds teams. Your podcast is one of my favorites bringing in all of your connections you have to hear their stories. It’s always a must listen when I see a new episode come out!

COL J.BrownHookedJust listened to the Podcast with the great Bob Boone, what a class act. I couldn’t tell if he was getting emotional when discussing his mother and father, but it hit me. I grew up in South Jersey and the Phillies were the backdrop of my childhood. Listening to Harry Kalas and Ritchie Ashburn was always a treat. The discussions surrounding the late 70’s - 1980 Phillies had me smiling and thinking about my parents and what that team meant to my family. Thanks for putting this together - there is no way I would have ever heard number 8’s narrative on the World Series classic moment with Pete Rose - hilarious. I also didn’t know Bob Boone was in the Army. What a class act. Appreciate the opportunity to relive a great period of my life. Nothing like this out there - again thank you. TomsmobilebikeserviceTalkin’ baseballGreat behind the scenes conversations with players, managers and others from a perspective of the player who loves and respects the game. Way better than a straight interviewer talking with an athlete. Bret brings the perspective of his life from a baseball family, growing up around the clubhouse and becoming one of the best to play it. . Good stuff!!
