My absolute favorite Classic movie podcast. More frequent episodes, please!

This is one of my favorite podcasts of all time. It's the perfect mix of informative, hilarious, and the true friendship of Adam and Smokey really shines through but they never descend into too many inside jokes that befuddle the listener. They manage to make their conversations sound authentic and affectionate while still keeping in mind what listeners need to know to follow along. It's a pleasure to listen and re-listen to, but suddenly all but the most recent 3 episodes have disappeared for a couple weeks now. I can't find them anywhere else and have no idea why they're gone. *Addendum* The missing episodes were restored shortly after this review, what soivice! May I also suggest more guest spots with Ben Taylorson & perhaps one Cev Moore?

Adam and Smokey deserve all the stars for delivering a podcast that’s both a haven for classic movie nerds and a safe space for newbies. It’s a joy hearing Adam wax lyrical about his carefully (and occasionally drunkenly?) culled picks and even better listening to (classic film) virgin Smokey’s feedback after he experiences many of these movies for the first time. The discussions are often hilarious and always insightful. They don’t always agree, but their mutual affection and friendship (couched in delightfully filthy repartee) is the beating heart of every episode.

The fact that you’re reading this is an indication you might more than interested, admit it!! Stop denying your true self, you’ll find more friends than you expected.

Whether you’re a dedicated lover of Golden Age cinema, or a newbie who wants to know more about the best era of movies, or anywhere in between, this is the podcast for you! Each episode has two great friends discussing a movie and so much more. Enjoy the smooth tones of Smokey and Adam las the perfect beer and shot. Listening to these knowledgeable hosts banter about their love of movies is like porn for the ears!

Classic cinephile Adam Roche introduces the often skeptical Smokey (one name only, like Cher!) to a variety of Golden Age movies based on different genres. The result is a fun, conversational romp that is both thoughtful and hilarious. Can you think of another podcast that would reference movies like Irreversible, The Deerhunter, and Full Metal Jacket in the same breath as His Girl Friday?? I sure can’t!

The smooth and urbane Adam Roche discusses movies with the equally or slightly more smooth and urbane Smokey! I love it!
